I never thought I would see the day that Yankees, Red Sox & Blue Jays fans are all in agreement about something.

Especially with guys like Steve Austin & HHH. They will hit their finisher and then the guy will either go flying out or will stand there and get closelined out. In any other match they will be out on the mat for five minutes. They should pick them up and then toss them, like they used to. -

In my immediate family, I'm a Packers fan, there is one Bills fan, one Patriots fan, one Bucs fan, and one Browns fan. Generally when our teams are eliminated we cheer for one of the others above, so I do want New England to win. If they lose though, I am glad it is to the Colts and not to Tennessee or Kansas City. Same as Green Bay. I'll take their loss yesterday over the way their past five seasons ended (screwed by refs, missed playoffs, missed playoffs, blowout on road, blowout at home) any day of the week. -
Man says he’s addicted to cable; to sue Charter

Exactly And tv doesn't make you fat and inactive, you make yourself fat and inactive. Come on, like it's tv's fault that your ass can't quit watching Maury and Dr. Phil or Lifetime movies. Bingo. It is a choice that you have to make. Ether choose to watch TV and be fat, or find something more productive to do and not be as entertained (this obviously doesn't apply to everyone, but I am referring to those who prefer to TV to activity). You just have to decide whether entertainment is as important as health. If you don't like the choice you make, then you can change. If you don't understand the choice, then you are an idiot and God help you. -
Mel Gibson was in something this year? And shouldn't Two Towers be last year? And who in their right mind would vote Pirates of the Caribbean as the best film of the year. Awful, awful choices as always.

If you don't notice it is a little cold and dangerous to be spending a lot of time outside right now. In summer (or when I was in Florida during Christmas), I barely watched TV at all. -
Yep. Ysanne Isaard rounds out the Big 3.

Well, congratulations to the Eagles. Oh so close. The AFC Champion will win the Super Bowl. -

I don't believe in those whole 'destiny' thing (why would God care about a football game?), but if the teams believe it they might end up making it true regardless. The same thing with the curses in baseball. The Red Sox and Cubs expect to lose, so they do. Once the slightest thing goes wrong (like Bartman), they think they are cursed and completely crumble. -

It isn't really overrated, just that St Louis, KC & Philly really did not enter the playoffs in that good a shape and ran into hot teams. It happens. One thing we have noticed this year, the hotter team has won more than not (Carolina twice, Green Bay, New England & Indianapolis). Only the two AFC Wild Card games have gone the other way thus far, and in one of those it was the home team that blew it (the Ravens choked). You can't limp into the playoffs and expect to be successful. The Colts are an exception because they started their hot run in the playoffs, but they are certainly hot now. Momentum is extremely important. -

Don't forget Denver. And the Rams, not because they are unbeatable at home, but because they can't do dick on the road. -
7 & 32 have already been explained. But 15 is the definitive big money match, and seeing Hogan go down clean was a such a big moment at the time. You can also point to that match as the end of the Golden Age of the WWF. 17 & 33 round out the top five. They were just such big markout moments.

That challenge was fantastic. Philly would have likely gotten 7, and now it ends up 7 the other way. Philly is shell shocked. -

The One and Only Divisional Playoffs thread

You brought the subject up. Minnesota is old news. I will tell you this and I am speaking to you as a football fan not a Packers fan. Minnesota won't win squat unless your team stops making excuses and try to fix the real problems with the team, a lack of heart (and Moss is the worst offender) and a poor and inexperienced coaching staff. If the Vikings continue to stick their fingers in their ears and continue to rant about how great Moss is, the problem will never be fixed. The end result, Green Bay is in the Divisional Playoffs, Minnesota became only the second team in history to start 6-0 and miss the playoffs. That is what it comes down to. The Bears are improving and even the Lions are making some progress. You will get left behind if you don't stop blaming other teams for your problems are start looking at your own team. I imagine you will take this the wrong way, but that is all I am going to say on the matter. -

it was pointed at KahRan or whatever his login is as he was repeatedly bringing up the Vikings loss to the Cardinals I didn't bring up the loss to the Cardinals. I brought up the loss to the Cardinals, Raiders, Chargers & Giants. Losing to one terrible team is a fluke, losing to four terrible teams is a trend. -

Green Bay is better now than they were then. They lost to Detroit too. New England lost to Buffalo. The difference between them and Minnesota, is that Minnesota lost with the season on the line (and a stupid way too with a push out on 4th & Forever). Green Bay's loss didn't mean as much. Besides the reason that Green Bay is in the playoffs is because they finished the season hot. Minnesota started hot and then collapsed. We saw it in the AFC too (albeit with better records) in New England & KC. New England is the favourite to win the Super Bowl & KC is headed home. In Week 17, Green Bay was a better team than Minnesota, just like New England was a better team than KC. This wasn't the case in Week 1, but ultimately how you are playing at the end of the year matters more. How many times did Jim Fassell & Wayne Fontes save their jobs with late season surges? -

You made a comment, I disputed it. I don't see how I am being smug. Green Bay has nothing to do with the conversation. We were discussing KC & Minnesota. -

They were a better team then too. Especially in 1995. They should have dominated their way to the Super Bowl that year. -

So what are you saying? 1) The Cards are better than Minnesota. OR 2) The Chiefs are better than the Colts. Choking is when a team blows it when either they have it won, or lose to a team they should beat. KC did neither. They got beat by a much better team. They were lucky to be 13-3. The Packers choked last year. I don't see how I am being biased here.
