    Shaq vs. Kobe

I think its clear now that Kobe is an ass. I 100% agree with Shaq on this, and I don't even like him. It is one thing to complain about basketball related stuff, but Kobe had to go and make personal attacks.

    The Dangers of Euro-Centric History

Umm...can't you just take whatever history course you like? I mean if you are taking Europe in the 19th Century, chances are it is going to be Eurocentric. Same as if you take Feudal Japan, chances are it won't focus on the Middle East. Europe (Britain, Spain & France, with Portugal, Holland & Sweden less so) are the dominant forces in American history. If you aren't talking primarily about them, then you are in a pretty piss poor US History class. And I doubt that any grade school US History course, let alone university level doesn't go into depth about things like slavery.

who else here thinks that kane should be

He should have instead of the Shane feud. Now its too late, and he needs to be rebuilt again.
  6. Yes. Surely, even Vince isn't stupid enough not to give it to him. Even Jericho got a title run, and he's hated by management.

And the Niners are about #2 on my most hated teams list, so I'm glad we have them as company.

2002 was by far his best year in the ring.

No wonder Harrington's numbers suck. Four different recievers just dropped four different easy catches in a row on a single drive.

Is anyone else getting Tired of Mysterio

Rey has been in a lot of good matches in WWE, although only one (Vengeance Tag Match) was this year. I just think he isn't getting a proper chance.

Is anyone else getting Tired of Mysterio

Yes, because Bret/Austin at XIII is move for move the same as Bret/Owen at X.

    Feds Arrest 300 Workers at 61 Wal-Marts

They should get rid of all illegal aliens so fine by me. Go back to Ukraine and move to the US legally.

    Most surprisingly good teams EVAH!

1991 Atlanta Braves. Terrible in the late 80s and last place in 1990, they won the NL Pennant and have never missed the playoffs since.

"UNCUT" movies on TV piss me off

Shows will get cut in syndication. The Simpsons is probably most notable for this, but it happens in other shows too.

So how much trouble is Denver in?

In other news Rob Johnson has been released by Washington. Maybe Denver could pick him up.

So how much trouble is Denver in?

Not only that but it looks like Jackson is coming down with flu symptoms himself now. Watch out people. Rod Smith might be starting at QB for the Broncos this week.

    Feds Arrest 300 Workers at 61 Wal-Marts

In some cases it is, in some it isn't. You can usually get better buys on DVDs and stuff at say Future Shop, but in terms of its direct competition (all-purpose chains like Zellers), Wal-Mart is much cheaper. I look for deals if they happen to have sales anywhere, but Wal-Mart's regular prices tend to be cheaper and certainly better than Zellers or the now defunct K-Mart. Better quality too most of the time, and certainly easier to find what you are looking for. When I'm at my cottage in the summer, I usually am stuck shopping at these places, but often I have to drive an hour to Peterborough (or Orillia) to go to Wal-Mart simply because nobody else has what I'm looking for. Believe me, I try.

Arctic ice cap melting at worrying rate

It is still in the ocean, sea levels would only be affected if continental ice on Antarctica melted (the Greenland ice sheet is too small to make much of an impact). And it is only at record lows since it started being scientifically measured in the early 1900s. Historical records indicate that the ice cap was much smaller from the 10th Century (when documents about the region first appear) until the beginning of the Little Ice Age in the 14th Century. Human factor is minimal. Of the 1.5 degrees Celcius that global temperatures increased in the 1900s, we now know that 1.4 degrees can be attributed to an increase in solar radiation in the same time. Sea levels were much higher 5000 years ago (the time of Noah) during the hypsithermal then they are now. Much of the Middle East was flooded periodically at that time (evidence of water-layed clays at various sites including Ur & Babylon). The arctic animals survived then, there is no reason to think that they can't survive now. The biggest human influence on increasing temperatures is the building of cities, not pollution. Concrete and asphalt absorb heat as you know doubt know, where as plant life reflects it. This is why it is always much hotter in the city than in the surrounding countryside a few miles away. As cities and roads expand and become more numerous, this problem is only going to get worse. But relatively speaking, we still are not overriding global and extra-terrestrial factors. As far as greenhouse gases go, the two worst by far are CFCs (Which are now banned in pretty much every major country, and thus the Earth is far below capacity. These are also the things that destroy ozone.) and water vapour (which is why it is so much hotter in El Nino years). Carbon dioxide which the horrible outdated Kyoto makes a big deal out of means practically nothing. Modern climate records show that there is a delayed effect. Temp goes up first, then C02 follows. You could double the amount of C02 in the atmosphere, and global temps would only go up 0.5 C.

    RVD shoots..............again!!!

I vaguely recall a MSG match where Sid was supposed to be the heel but got cheered. I think the angle was something about him evilly injuring that Jose Lothario guy or something, but the crowd cheered him when he went after him in that match and also when Sid hit Shawn with a ringside camera before pinning him? Is that the one? That's the one.

    RVD shoots..............again!!!

I agree with you to a certain extent, but when ratings drop as quickly as they did with the one month title runs of Shawn Michaels and Hulk Hogan in 2002, then I think they have to take the majority of the blame. In Shawn's case it took a few weeks to get back to pre-Shawn levels, while they never have gotten back to pre-Hogan levels. Besides, Michaels had eight months the first time and still flopped.
