I was hoping he would fall to my next pick, but I didn't expect it. I had him as the #2 kicker behind the Dane.

I don't see Gert T around so I will pick. There are two fundamental rules in building a winning football team. 1) Run the ball. 2) Stop the run. With that in mind... DT Pat Williams * 2x Pro Bowl selection (2006, 2007) * 1x All-Pro second team selection (2007) My opponents might as well abandon running up the middle.

For some reason I always get stuck with the time expiring in the middle of the night.

The Rock. He got a great pop after his big victory at Survivor Series 1996 in MSG and was getting booed out of the building by Royal Rumble time.

I don't think anyone can seriously believe he wrote that. It is an obvious parody. I still thought it was amusing.

Light's among the top tackles of the decade for sure, but I suspect that the Super Bowl is the reason he fell so far. I have Walter Jones at LT, so I had no reason to take Light. Had I needed one, I probably would have taken Light a couple of rounds ago. I would add the 50s Browns, 40s Bears and 30s Packers to your list BTW.

I thought we were having 27 rounds? Oh well, it doesn't change my strategy much. I think Brady spending most of the Super Bowl flat on his back is too fresh in people's minds.

Best Endings To Pay-Per-Views
Kahran Ramsus replied to Ed Wood Caulfield's topic in General Wrestling
The definitive PPV Ending to me is Hulk Hogan joining the Outsiders at BATB 96 and newly dubbing the group the New World Order in an interview while being absolutely pelted with trash. -
He's the Police Chief to Logan's Harry Callahan. The audience is naturally going to dislike him. There isn't really much to do with the character. X-Men is so rich in the number of characters that it is better just to leave him dead, I think.

Jake Roberts at Wrestlemania VIII was pretty bad. He was never really the same after that.

Damn. Another guy that Gert takes right before I was about to. Time to go to my back up pick in just a moment. There were three guys I was targeting and McMichael was one. I'll draft the second now to fill out my secondary. I hope the third falls to me. S Jimmy Patton 5 Time Pro Bowler 5 Time First-Team All-Pro 153 Games 52 Interceptions 15 Forced Fumbles 4 TDs

I'm going with a Devin Hester-killer. A guy who can make life miserable for every KR/PR out there and for my money the best special teams player ever, which is where he'll be playing almost exclusively. WR Steve Tasker Pro Bowl (x7) (1987, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995)

I could have said that and I didn't even watch it.

Surprise pick, but I think most of us will agree that after looking at what Vince Young & Reggie Bush have accomplished that apparently Charley Casserly knew what he was doing after all.

Basically what happened is that Favre called the Packers bluff that they would take him back before sending him to Minnesota and lost. All this shows is that he had no interest in coming back to Green Bay in the first place. He's now walked away twice on them.

You can actually go soon VX. We're getting close to the 16 hour mark between picks.

And Titanic still doesn't even come close to Gone with the Wind which would have made over 1.4 billion in the US alone at today's prices.

DIE. You fucking prick. That was the guy I was going to take with my last pick, instead I took Sammy Baugh. Shit. Oh man. Well, I still have another guy I was going to take at TE. Wow. I thought for sure Baugh was the guy you were talking about. You just got greedy. There's one guy I really want with my next pick and if he's there, I'm not hesitating to take him.

Favre is likely going to win this competition, unless he completely blows in the pre-season, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Packers keep him around long enough to get past the Monday Night opener and then trade him to Minnesota after that, avoiding the problem of him coming back to Lambeau.
-
The problem here is that Favre isn't being flexible at all. The Packers don't want him back, then fine, but Favre is still under contract and they have the right to trade him to wherever they want. However, Favre doesn't just want to play, he wants to screw over the Packers by going to the one team that would hurt them the most and he wants a release rather than a trade so that they get no compensation back. I'm sorry, but the Packers are more than willing to settle this and it is Favre that hasn't budged one bit from his initial demand. If he really wants to play, what is wrong with playing for Tampa Bay which happens to be a contender as it is?

I pick players based on how good they were against their own generation. Otherwise we get scenarios where legendary Hall of Famers would probably get beat by random benchwarmers in the modern game. The real thing that I think hurts some of the older players and this is especially true prior to the 1960s, is that their careers weren't as long. So it would be hard to pick a guy who only played 5 or 6 years in the 30s against a guy like Bruce Matthews who was a Pro Bowler for over a decade. The game hasn't changed that much since coaches like Landry, Brown & Lombardi showed up in the 50s, but before that it was a very different beast.

Two-Face is my favourite Batman villain, but in terms of a film there isn't really anywhere to go with him other than perhaps a redemption storyline and that is clearly not what Nolan intends. The Dark Knight used Two-Face the way he should be used. Also, Dent's now been in 3 films out of six since 1989. I'd rather see someone else that hasn't had as much exposure or that was completely ruined the first time (ex. Penguin, Bane).

I wasn't paying attention to Kramer because I picked both my guards early, but yeah I'm surprised he fell that far.
-
I'm not even going to bother with a PR, I will just double somebody else, probably Renfro or Smith.

I've been mostly on the Packers side so far, but if Favre comes out of the tunnel on opening night in purple than Ted Thompson should be fired on the spot. It would absolutely destroy the team and is the absolute worst case scenario. It would be like New York deciding to trade Jeter to the Red Sox. Chicago is bad enough, but you absolutely cannot allow someone like Favre to go to the team that will be competing with you for the divisional title this year even without him. The circus that would surround this team with Favre on the bench would be insignificant to what would happen if he were on the Vikings.
