WWE Management high on Orton, Maven
Kahran Ramsus replied to Spaceman Spiff's topic in The WWE Folder
Good point. Brock really got over because of three matches: vs. Hogan on SmackDown! vs. Rock at Summer Slam 2002, and vs. Taker at No Mercy 2002. If Randy beats HHH clean between now and Mania, the fans will sit up and take notice. Hell, job Rocky to him, too. The difference is that everybody knew that Brock had a lot of potential. The issue was that he was being pushed too far too soon, not that he shouldn't be pushed eventually. Orton is just awful, and a complete waste of time if any push is spent on him. He is the successor to Billy Gunn. -
Don't forget Gizmo Duck. He ruined not one, but two series.

What WWE Pay Per Views have you Skipped?
Kahran Ramsus replied to The Mandarin's topic in The WWE Folder
I have seen them, but the only ones that I actually ordered were Royal Rumble, Mania & Vengeance. I need a reason to order a PPV rather than reasons not too. -
If it ends up being Marlins/Yanks, I guarantee I won't be watching.
-
I see I was right about Orton/HHH main eventing Wrestlemania. Orton costs HHH the title at SS, wins at either Armageddon or RR, while HHH dominates the Rumble and stomps Orton at Mania.

Can I be serious for a moment, you spoiled CALGARY ALBERTA CANADiAn fan. Sure they were. Austin was nothing until he became Stonecold in the WWF. But I remember the Ringmaster setting the world on fire. He got fired from WCW and went to ECW where he used it as a transition to WWF. Foley wasn't made by ECW. Foley was made by the King of the Death Match. "Stunning" Steve was awesome and would have been main eventing if politics didn't get in the way. So Austin wasn't exactly nothing before Stone Cold.

Hell, Shawn didn't draw in his prime.

What are your favorite death scenes of all-time?
Kahran Ramsus replied to TheOriginalOrangeGoblin's topic in Television & Film
Put me down for Sonny Corleone, but I also love the death of Rene Belloq and the Nazis in Raiders of the Lost Ark. -
Chris Jericho is probably the second most overrated wrestler in North America by those who generally favour the workrate side of things. He is a good wrestler, but Kurt Angle has had better matches let alone the likes of Benoit, Malenko & Guerrero. I have yet to see a single 'classic' out of Jericho. He's had plenty of great matches, but he can't get to the next level. Of course, the most overrated by far would be Shawn Michaels.

Say what? How do you figure? I'd say we should not only have entered but should have dominated the peace talks with Germany. England (who's monarchy was related to Kaiser Wilhelm) and France (who were out for blood because of a war fought 45 years before) were content to be pricks to Germany and blame them for starting the war. If Wilson's plan had been carried out to the letter, America would have been in LoN and there may never have been a WWII. 1) It was Germany's fault according to most modern historians. The idea that Europe was to blame came about after the war in the 1920s when they thought that only a joint effort that led to the war. I have talked about it elsewhere, so I won't go in depth again. Evidence supports the fact that Germany is to blame. 2) I think you're confused. It was the US that brought down Wilhelm (Britain later went along with them). As late as November 9, 1918, Wilhelm was supposed to remain on the throne, but the US then got involved and demanded that Germany become a Republic before they would accept surrender. Germany was dead at this point, and the government forced Wilhelm to abdicate because they didn't have any other choice. France, in particular, was very much against this. But when one looks at the two wars, they really aren't that connected. Hitler used Germany discontent over WWI as a political tool, but it was other problems (mainly the Depression) that led to him getting control. WWII wasn't about WWI, it was about German supremacy in Europe. The errors made by the Allies that led to WWII had more to do with their failure to get involved after Munich and the annexation of Austria. Britain & France also did a lot to alienate Stalin, which led to the non-agression pack and Hitler's invasion of Poland a couple of weeks later. They finally had enough balls to declare war then. Hitler was expecting that he was able to carry on the charade until 1945 when he felt he would be able to beat the west. Had WWII started in 1936 instead of the Allies continuing to make concessions to Germany, it wouldn't have been nearly as devastating. Appeasement doesn't work when dealing with people like Hitler. Imagine if they had waited until 1945, like Hitler expected. Germany would have had atomic weapons by the time the war would be over then, and Hitler was not above using them.

Britain, yes. Lloyd George was headed into an election and needed a big victory to get reelected. This was actually one of the few times that France ended up being correct. They were more interested in returning things to the status-quo, but they got out voted at Paris by the US & Britain. In truth, it was only the perception of Germany being treated poorly that led to discontent in Germany. In reality reperations were greatly reduced and most of it ended up being paid with American money anyways. It didn't stop Hitler from exploiting it though.

Plain old Brutus Beefcake. The one that was part of the Dream Team prior to the Barber gimmick.

What was your favorite Hell In The Cell match?
Kahran Ramsus replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in General Wrestling
Taker/Mick was terrible. -
I still like Smackdown for the most part. There are bad weeks and good weeks, just like there always has been. I can live with that. But when every week for the better part of two years is terrible (like on RAW or the latter days of WCW) I get turned off on the product. Anger and annoyance is simply the first stage. If it lasts too long, I just quit watching. I won't be watching RAW until after MNF season at the earliest.

1) Eddy Guerrero - The most talented and over wrestler in North America these days. His drug problems appear to be a thing of the past, so he is an obvious choice. 2) Brock Lesnar - A multi-time world champion at a very young age. He was the big prize in OVW and everyone knew it long before he joined the company. He is also a good, not great wrestler. 3) Chris Jericho - RAW's best by far. The best talker in the business, especially when Rock isn't around. Also a great wrestler, if not quite as good as the Fab Four. 4) Shelton Benjamin - Brock's former tag partner, who is more talented, but doesn't have the aura about him. In 10 years, he could be the next Chris Benoit. 5) Chavo Guerrero - Not as good as his uncle, but he still has a bright future if used properly. 6) Chris Benoit - He's on the decline, but he should be good for long enough to help improve things. He is the second best wrestler currently in the company, and arguably the best North American wrestler of all time. It will be a lot easier to rebuild with him then without him. 7) Rey Misterio - Like Benoit, I question how long he will last with his history of injuries. But he is so unique and popular, that he is important to have around. 8) Jamie Noble - This guy can do it all, if ever given a chance. 9) Matt Hardy, Version 1.0 - The most improved wrestler of 2002, he has stalled a bit in 2003. He still has enormous potential. 10) John Cena - Not the greatest wrestler, but he has potential. He is mainly on here for his ability to connect with the audience. NOTE: I would have picked Kurt Angle, but I don't think he will be around long enough to have much of an impact. I'm the type that won't draft Fred Taylor in fantasy football, and thus won't pick Angle here.

I thought it was a plesiosaur.

Sounds like the end. Anyways, my guesses for the Horsemen are Mesmero, Magneto, Juggernaut & Legion.

I have not. Coincidently, I haven't liked a single episode of RAW since the end of the Invasion.

It isn't a question of money, it is a question of skill. It is a huge problem up here with hundreds of thousands of university graduates (usually $50000+ in debt by that point, so money isn't really an issue) heading to the US to work through legal channels. Our federal government pretty much ignores it exists, as it does any bad news. However, since these people provide something that the Americans want, they have no problem accepting them. I have several family members and friends who have found it easier to go and work in the US (legally) then it is to get a job up here in several fields (medical, for example). Quite sad, really. As for unskilled labour, why would the US accept some poor immigrant who will just end up working at McDonalds. The US has plenty of people like that already that can't find jobs, and is too overpopulated as it is.

From what I understand, the main opposition (by the general public) to Prop 54 was because of health reasons. Certain diseases can be traced to certain regions, and are more prominant in some races than others. The best recent example is SARS, which was largely connected to the Chinese community. It is important for the public to know things like this in order to help prevent outbreaks, just as it is vitally important for medical research.

Fuck anyone for going to school on my tax dollars and leeching off the system while they're in this country illegally and getting paid under the table. If someone wants to come to America the right way, then they deserve their piece of the pie at dinner. But anyone who's here illegally who just leeches off the money provided by honest taxpayers is a fucking thief. What if they are paying taxes? Most immigrant, illegal or not, are working and paying taxes. If we today just went and wiped out every illegal immigrant in California alone, would you be happy and fine that you probably would have a tough time finding many fresh fruits & vegetables in your local grocery store? If you grow your own than I guess this question does not apply. See that is the biggest myth around, that illegal immigrants are just crossing the border, signing up for welfare and state benefits, and living. Immigrants have and are currently doing a lot more for to help the economy than people think. I know there are exceptions to this rule. I know you can probably go look up some article that talks about cases of a few hundred here or there doing exactly the opposite of what I stated, so go ahead if you want to, however it is not the majority. There are legal ways to work and live in the US. These people just choose not to do that. Illegal immigrants are just that 'illegal' and they should be deported.

Brock is young. Wait until he passes 30 and then see the injuries pile up.
