More people watched Coach/JR than RVD/Xian
Kahran Ramsus replied to QuestionMan's topic in The WWE Folder
They never should have put the World Title on someone who doesn't work houseshows. -
Coverage has started.

Peter Jackson deserved a Best Director nod for Two Towers more than the movie deserved a Best Picture nomination. His work, and Andy Serkis as Gollum were by far the two best things about the movie (aside from the score, which won for FOTR and was basically the same thing, so I understand that).

You guys act like the IC title actually means something. He might as well have the Women's Belt for all the cred the IC Belt has right now. The previous champ needed help to beat a fucking announcer. -

Chretien is very liberal. Paul Martin is more moderate, and with Chretien being booted by his own party (or 'retirement') next year things should change a bit.

Time is rapidly approaching. I voted in the Durham riding (although I live in Ottawa South for most of the year), and I will consider it a victory tonight if O'Toole retains.

Kane used too, but he wasn't HHH so the McMahon's had to put an end to that. -

RVD, Christian & the IC Title mean nothing. This is what I meant when I said that you need to build up people first without just putting them in the main event. -
A 3.2 for Smackdown equals about 4.0 for RAW due to the difference in cable and network ratings. UPN & Spike are in approx. the same number of homes according to the Torch and Dave Meltzer.

The real problem is the burial of Kane. He was the only guy on RAW that people cared about, and they blew it with McMahon Mania. Now with Kane ruined people are tuning out.

The east always votes PC, Quebec always votes for the seperatists, Ontario always votes Liberal, and the west votes Alliance (except Saskatchewan which votes NDP). In 1993, the Liberals literally won nothing outside of Ontario, but one all but one seat in Ontario and still won a majority. This country is extremely divided right now.

I live in Dalton McGuinty's home riding, but voted PC. After the disasterous Peterson & Rae governments, it will be a long time before I vote for anybody else on the provincial level. Life is much better than it was ten years ago when we were losing all our money to taxes for social programs that we never even used.

Bret Hart was extremely charismatic, more so than any other WWF Champ of the mid-90s. Only Kevin Nash was really in the same league there. His mic skills weren't great until the Hart Foundation era in 97, but they were adequate. As for cred, he 'retired' legend Roddy Piper in a great match at Wrestlemania, spent the summer main-eventing house shows with Shawn Michaels or in tags with Savage against Flair & Shawn, and main evented the biggest Summerslam of all time in the MOTY. People accepted him as champ almost immediately, and those that didn't did after convincing victories over Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair & Razor Ramon. -

It isn't just that he isn't a good worker, but that he is a terrible one. As far as champs go, he would rank with the likes of Ultimate Warrior and Sid. Both were mega-flops by the way, because they couldn't carry their end in the ring. It is a very legitimate criticism. Ideally, you need five things to be a good champ. 1. Overness 2. Credibility 3. Talent 4. Mic Skills 5. Charisma RVD fails with a score of 2/5. Credibility can be earned, but his lack of mic skills and in-ring talent are huge drawbacks. Eddy Guerrero has all five, with the possible exception of the cred, but he's close on that. Jericho has them all too, although isn't as good as Eddy on any of them except mic skills. And yes, Goldberg has a terrible score too, but that's besides the point. Randy Orton, who is a possible choice to beat Goldberg, gets 0/5. Anything less than 4/5 and you should think twice about giving a guy the World Title. -
The Best WWE Cruiserweight of 2003?
Kahran Ramsus replied to BifEverchad's topic in General Wrestling
No, but it was still better than normal. At least we know who the champion is, unlike the days of Dwayne Gill, Essa Rios & X-Suck. I voted for Rey too, but more for what he has done outside the division. Number two is Matt Hardy, who has really impressed me, but can't seem to get the pushes that Rey does. -
I really need to quit blowing the Lock of the Week pick.

Enjoy it. We probably won't see another movie going experience like the LOTR Trilogy for a long time to come. Return of the King was my favourite of the books.

There is that little problem with the opening to For Your Eyes Only then. Although, I suppose it could be argued that Connery, Lazenby & Moore are all one Bond, and Brosnan & Dalton are another (since both are operating in the late Cold War period).

I don't. I usually agree with him.

What else is new? This is the post-season.

That's pretty much the story for Velocity. I like catching the show because it is more subdued and relaxed than Smackdown is. Almost like a house show. None of the matches are great. I think they had a good Kidman/Tajiri match once, but that's about it.
