This Patriots thing has gone far beyond how bad I think any of us thought it was. They need to grow up or they won't finish ahead of the Jets. Maybe, Bilicheck needs to be fired. I'm not a fan of firing coaches in mid-season, but he appears to have lost this team.

Suikoden II is one of my favourite games of all time. It was actually quite easy once you got the hang of it. None of the Suikoden games were very hard. Spoiler (Highlight to Read): I thought that was a nice twist actually.

Garner would also be a good choice, but I slightly favour Green since he will now likely be Favre's top recieving target as well. Park Hearst's ass on the bench and keep it there. With the backs you have, you don't need to gamble on someone who splits carries.

Steelers/Chiefs is far and away the game I am most interested in (other than the Green Bay game, of course).

I loved all three Suikodens.

Magneto went to attack Apocalypse's base in the Yucatan, using everything from tanks to satellites in orbit and crashes them into the base. They don't damage the shield, but Apocalypse eventually has enough, exits the base, and lays the smackdown on Mags, causing him to implode. Knowing Mags, he'll be back though. I don't see how they are going to bring Mystique back though. She's currently in a bunch of little pieces.

The Sunshine Network is in Florida. I believe it is their UPN affiliate, but don't quote me on that. TSN stands for The Sports Network.

There have been three episodes since then. Episode 401 - Impact. Magneto wages a personal war against Apocalypse. Also, Kurt & Rogue deal with the fate of their mother. Episode 402 - No Good Deed. The Brotherhood become heros after a subway disaster, and decide to fake their own disasters so that they can rescue people from them. Episode 403 - Target X. The introduction of Omega Red and the return of X23.

I honestly liked the NES Mega Mans better than the later versions. Mega Man 2 & 3 are two of my favourite games of all time.

It is better, but still not far enough. I hate dealing with American money because they are all green. Nothing pisses me off more than looking at a wad of bills and finding out they are all ones. Canadian money is considerably less annoying, even if the value of it is.

That because of who the Dems ran. Everyone saw Gore and Bush and said "Damnit, this is the same damn guy. I guess I won't vote for either of them." Unless Lieberman wins the primary, in which case yeah I guess it could be 2000 all over again. I disagree. Gore would spank Bush if he ran this time. Americans largely do not approve of the way Bush ran the war, but they do agree with the idea of war itself, something that Lieberman. Lieberman would have a much easier time of getting the undecided vote than an extremist like Dean, who most non-Democrats see as a coward. I still don't think Lieberman will win, but if Gore was running he would beat Bush. The Democrats need to ask themselves one question. Is your goal to run your favourite candidate or the candidate most likely to beat Bush? Because if it is the latter, it would make far more sense to run someone like Kerry or Lieberman. Of course, if they don't think one of the more conservative Democrats are any better than Bush, they might as well give Dean a shot.

Yep. The ending was perfect. Given the music, the dialogue, and the idea that this is a kids show, I fully expected Rogue to save Mystique. When she essentially murdered her in cold blood and just walked away, I was shocked. What an end for Magneto too, eh?

See, this is your problem. Bush does not need to appeal to Democratic voters. He only needs to retain the Republican voters. He never had the Democratic vote to begin with, and the Republicans still won in 2000 and 2002. The Democrats need to steal away Republican votes, and Howard Dean is not the man to do it. He is too far to the left to appeal to the moderates. He may be popular among the Dems, but he is hated among the Republicans so by running Dean you have pretty much lost to begin with. If dumping Bush is the greater goal, the Dems need to run someone more moderate like Kerry. Even then its a long shot, but at least the race isn't over before it begins.

I assume he would be like in the prologue, but his current form is never really described in great detail. Gollum does say that he only has four fingers though. The Encyclopedia of Arda is the best Tolkien reference site that I've seen.

Ok. I just checked up on this, and Sauron DOES appear in a human-like form in the books, although you never actually see him. Both Gandalf and Gollum talk about it. It makes sense. How else could he put on the Ring?

Benoit, Guerrero & Malenko are the Holy Trinity of Wrestling. Or at least they were in 1997.

1. Kevin Nash. Everything that is wrong with pro wrestling. Unover, unmotivated, untalented, and yet is still hanging around in the main event. Hogan, Piper, HHH, Goldberg, and every other terrible wrestler can at least claim that they have drawn money. Nash has tanked every time he is pushed to the top, and yet still keeps his job. Terrible. 2. Vince Russo. An arrogant racist asshole who destroyed WCW, and has ridden Vince McMahon's coattails to job after job. Anytime somebody has been fired as often as this guy has, you should be asking questions before you hire him. 3. Bill Goldberg. He's like Nash, but he at least had some success. 4. X-Pac. An unprofessional little shit who would be pumping gas for a living if it wasn't for his friends. 5. Scott Hall. The Darryl Strawberry of wrestling. He would be higher on the list, but I get some satisfaction in that he finally seems to be getting what he deserves.

Pippin mentions it at Bree, but you are right about Merry. Saruman actually wasn't changed too much. We get to see stuff that he's doing, that's only mentioned in the book, which is necessary given the different medium. He gets more screen-time, but he really isn't much more important. Two Towers, in particular, is simply unfilmable unless some reordering is done. The movies tend to follow the actual timeline, which is best for the films. The way Tolkien did (the first half is all about the Aragorn & Company, the second half about Frodo & Sam) makes for easier reading, but would be terrible on screen.

Last year at this time Benoit was better than Eddy was. Eddy just happens to be on fire right now. Benoit is still #2.
