New England really needs to get their heads in the game.
-
Dammit Ty! I have Moulds on my team, not Henry!!
-
I also have New England v. Buffalo. Nothing on FOX though Same here.
-
I'm watching New England @ Buffalo. Anybody else?
-
Good.

You haven't seen his WCW stuff then. Jericho is annyoing as hell as a face. I was rooting for HHH to kick his ass at Fully Loaded.

More stale than a 3 month old loaf of bread
Kahran Ramsus replied to LooseCannon25's topic in The WWE Folder
I don't mind Taker. He's certainly better wrestling-wise than the slugs on RAW like HHH or Nash. As for the question, Trish & Austin are so over that it is tough to say that they are stale. I know they are to me, but the average fan doesn't seem to think so. RVD's problem is in-ring (and bad booking) so there is not much you can do about him. The Duds are super-stale, and are arguably the most stale performers in the entire promotion. HHH is similar. He's been doing the same thing for so long, that nobody really cares anymore. -
I assume we are just continuing this thread for today as opposed to starting a new one.

I certainly didn't.

HBK/Jericho wasn't even the best match at Wrestlemania.
-
Rikishi was also in the Final Four in 1994 and was the story of the Rumble in 2000.
-
Really? Cause I had HBK on commentary on Heat while he was suspended for a month with no problems whatsoever. Hell, he's still on commentary now after I've sent him to development. It only happens if you try to enter the Events submenu. I had it happen to Tazz.
-
I don't really notice a difference either way, so by all means continue writing the shorter reports if it is easier. I should add that I love reading your reports.
-
Tazz & Cole do. JR & King don't.
-
I think he's beating Goldberg at Unforgiven.

Ventura & Monsoon did act like they were friends, but the heel/face connection was still there. On the weekly shows Ventura teamed with Vince and Gorilla with Heenan, and you are correct in that they acted like they hated each other, but Gorilla & Jesse got along great with each other or at the very least respected each other.

Someone from RAW will definitely win it. Smackdown has No Way Out, so Vince will want to have the #1 Contendership up for grabs there. Personally, I think HHH will win it. He will lose it to Orton late in the year, turn face, and repeat his Winter 2002 run.

I agree with most of that, but how, in your opinion, is Bret more charismatic than Shawn? Bret has this aura about him that just draws you to him whenever he speaks, wrestles, or just shows up and stands around. No matter how stupid and/or crazy he may be these days, people still pay attention when he does something. Shawn Michaels is just sort of there. Michaels attachment was his athleticism. It never had anything to do with his charm. Bret was one of the most charismatic wrestlers of the last 20 years, along with the likes of Flair, Hogan & The Rock. Bret had better mic skills too. He was always able to tell a story better than Michaels, and can always get a reaction out of the crowd. Many of Shawn's promos (such as when he joined the NWO or when he was struggling as a face in late 96) kill the crowd. Bret never did that, whether he was insulting the US or arguing with Jerry Lawler's evil dentist. Bret was really underrated as a mic worker. He wasn't as good as Flair or Foley, but he was at the top of the next level.

I agree with the middle of the show approach, or even after the first match. The show should always start and end with a match. Given the choices though, it makes more sense to start the show with a promo then end it with one.

Brock defeated Buh-Buh Dudley in a qualifying match for the KOTR tournament. As far as I know, Austin was supposed to be in Buh-Buh's place for the job. If this is true, why wouldn't they have had Austin meet Brock in the finals rather than a qualifying match? It would make much more sense. Because the idea was to put over the Eddy feud. Eddy was supposed to cost Austin the match, I believe as the special guest referee.

It is the same for sports games for that matter. The problem lies with the fact that most games have an actual ending. You play the game, you beat the game, and then you review the game. Fighting games and sports games are totally dependent upon the replay value, so the reviews are not as in-depth. Fighting games are even worse these days, because at least sports games now have season modes that you usually can base a fairly good opinion on.

Correction. In-ring 'action', be it a good match or just Kane beating the hell out of somebody is what draws. Wrestling is essentially an action-adventure male soap opera. Like movies like Die Hard, it is the action that sells. The WWE audience does not want to see people talk. These are the same people who thought the Hulk was too boring.
-
This Kane thing is the most interesting thing to happen on RAW since Lesnar left with the WWE Title. It is the main reason why ratings are up.

Angle/Eddy seems to have turned into Brock/Eddy. I'm still convinced that they will give him the title by Wrestlemania (or at it) and now they will give it to a heel first (or turn Kurt heel).

Of course.
