One more, and I'll be sobbing if he takes the guy I want.
-
Yeah, that one hurts me too.
-
This is where I wish I was at the end of the round. Nobody I want from his team has a shot of getting back to me. Is there anyone who wants to take over his team by any chance, ala Fokai with Canadian Brandon's team?

WWE/WCW Match Backwards Draft
Kahran Ramsus replied to foleyfanforever88's topic in General Wrestling
Nice pick. I believe that to be the worst match (or at least the worst main event-level match) that I've ever seen. It makes the Doomsday Cage Match look like a ***** affair. The only moment as equally painful out of the Big 2 that I can remember is the Ric Flair beatdown in the desert on Nitro. Nothing like watching the hero get beat up by 10 guys for 20 minutes only to get 'killed off'. -
Not a lot of action today. I knew he wouldn't last much longer and he was simply more talented than the other guys I was considering. I mentioned it at the time, but he should have been the one taken many moons ago instead of Hornung.

My goal all along with my offense has been to build around a strong, bullying running game and this pick reflects that. It helps that I have Don Shula as coach, who certainly knows how to utilize the fullback position. I could have waited longer for some body that can help block for Payton, but this guy can do not only that but is a physical runner in his own right. I would normally have picked an offensive lineman, but the talent difference here is just too great to ignore. Besides, how can you have an all-time team with no players from the greatest dynasty ever? FB Jim Taylor * 5x Pro Bowl selection (1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964) * 6x All-Pro selection (1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1966) * 3x NFL champion (1961, 1962, 1965) * 1x Super Bowl champion (I) * 1962 AP NFL MVP * NFL 1960s All-Decade Team * Packers Hall of Fame * Packers career rushing yards leader (8,597) * Elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1976

I'm going to spend a second straight pick on my secondary, this time with a guy who is not only one of the great cover guys in history but gives me a lot of versatility in the secondary having made multiple Pro Bowls at both corner and safety. I haven't yet decided where he is going to play, but he's precisely the type of player I need. DB Mel Renfro * 10x Pro Bowl selection (1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973) * 10x All-Pro selection (1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973) * 1970 Pro Bowl MVP * Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor * Elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1996

That's where I saw him! I was worried I was going insane or something.
-
I could have sworn this guy was taken, but I just did a check on the first page and couldn't find him anywhere. Fokai mailed me his pick and he selects... RB Roger Craig * 4x Pro Bowl selection (1985, 1987, 1988, 1989) * 4x All-Pro selection (1985, 1987, 1988, 1989) * 3x Super Bowl champion (XIX, XXIII, XXIV) * NFL 1980s All-Decade Team * 1988 NFL Offensive Player of the Year * 1988 UPI NFC Player of the Year

I believe that John Madden is the greatest ambassador to football in the history of the game. He's gotten whole generations of people interested in the NFL and is arguably more recognizable to people on the street than any player.
-
He's definitely been taken as I was looking at drafting him a few rounds ago only to find out that he was taken.
-
I think he needs three, but I could be wrong. He missed his pick in the last round, he needs his pick this round, and he needs a replacement for Roger Wehrli. EDIT: I appear to be correct. This is the 11th Round and he only has 10 picks by my count.

I don't see how you can say that. Spider-Man 2 is one of the best superhero films ever. I'd much rather see another Raimi film than have them bring in some hack like Brett Ratner or Paul WS Anderson.
-
Yeah. I liked Transformers too. I don't get all the hate. Right, you can have an opinion that it was an entertaining movie. And people can think Transformers sucked, without being labelled as movie snobs. Exactly. There is a difference between a great popcorn flick (ex. Iron Man) and a mediocre one (ex. Transformers). That doesn't make us snobs. There's plenty of movies that I like that aren't very popular.
-
Doesn't nogoodnick have to make about three picks at this point?
-
I especially don't know why they don't do it for Spider-Man in particular as his rogue's gallery is perfect for it.
-
Great pick. I was hoping I'd get him as my second DT since I'm planning on running a 4-3 defense.
-
You don't know how lucky you are. I was 'this' close to taking him over Lynch.
-
Sorry JTCE, I didn't see you there and I'm under a bit of a time crunch and the time limit had expired. I'm at work, so I'll be back at lunch. Hopefully I didn't grab who you wanted.

For my pick, I want a hard hitting bastard in my secondary to go with my coverage guy in Bailey. I just happened to find what I want in Bailey's teammate. If I can't beat all of these excellent WRs, at least I can beat them up. S John Lynch * 4x Associated Press All-Pro (1999-2002) * 9x Pro Bowl selection (1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007) * Super Bowl champion (XXXVII)

I'm here with a couple of picks. First of all, Gert T takes Paul Brown who is the guy I mentioned earlier (I would have passed on Shula if I knew I could get Brown here).
-
Thanks, Vitamin X. Ford's a Hall of Fame Defensive End for the multi-time champion Cleveland Browns of the 1950s.
-
Thanks. I sent you my pick and a backup in case Brandon shows up and takes the guy I want.
-
Is anybody going to be here until midnight (EDT)? I'll need to PM my pick to somebody.
-
I believe nogoodnic has two picks to make up. One for picking a guy who was already drafted (Wehrli) and one for missing his pick in this round.
