1992. This is the real most star-studded Rumble as far as I'm concerned with former and future stars spread throughout and just about everybody was doing something big around this time. It also had the WWF Title on the line which made it the most important Rumble ever. This is the finest hour of the Heenan/Monsoon announcing team and many consider this to be the best announced match in the history of wrestling. Flair gives what I feel to be the finest Rumble performance ever. Until Flair it was virtually unthinkable for an early wrestler to actually win the Rumble, and although it has become routine in recent years, he will always be the first. Also unlike some later Iron Men, he is in the action for virtually the entire match getting targetted by everybody from Davey Boy Smith to Hulk Hogan to the Undertaker. One of the best WWF matches of the 90s for sure.

My main problem with Spider-Man 3 is that it is basically two films crammed into one. One about Sandman, Parker gaining the symbiote and Venom and a second about the fall and redemption of Harry Osborne and the two are only merged (sloppily) at the very end of the film and it doesn't work. The second Green Goblin should have been its own movie.

WCW used to do this all the time. Two examples that immediately come to mind is the episode where Flair is beaten up in the desert for 20 minutes by the NWO only to make his way back to the arena by the end up of the show only to get beaten up again with no offense whatsoever. Then when he gets to the title match at Superbrawl he gets beaten when his son turns on him and we get another long beatdown of him. The other occurred about a month later and is the angriest I've ever been as a wrestling fan, where in a 3 hour Nitro we don't even see the arena until literally an hour into the show. Disgraceful.

Gostkowski saved my season.

I know it was an upset and all, but there were lots of warning signs with Dallas in the last month so the Giants winning is not that surprising. Considering they barely won, I don't give them much chance against a Green Bay team that has looked dominant lately outside of the Bears fiasco. The Giants certainly have a better chance than San Deigo of winning this week, but it still isn't a good chance. Green Bay just has too many weapons for them to deal with on both sides of the ball. I would find it amusing if Green Bay gets back to the Super Bowl by beating the team that absolutely humiliated the Vikings in Minnesota's last NFC Championship appearance.

Probably. But that 25% is why they actually play the game. The Patriots probably won't lose, but that doesn't mean they can't. The reason I like the Packers over them (besides being a deluded homer), is that Green Bay is the only team that has an offense that is good enough to keep up to them and a defense that is good enough that they shouldn't be able to score at will. They aren't as good as New England certainly, but the Packers don't have any obvious weaknesses either.

I still think the Colts can, but the bigger thing to me is that the Packers are the only team left that the Patriots haven't already beaten this year.

I figured it would be pretty much exactly the same as it ended up being in real life except with Vader in the Austin role and Mero playing Roberts. Going back a year earlier I thought Shawn Michaels was a lock to win the tournament since the rest of the field was a bunch of jobbers and the Undertaker (who had an issue with the Corporation that would probably prevent him from winning). I never dreamed that they would go with one of the jobbers to win. I knew we were in trouble when Savio Vega beat a washed-up Yokozuna (who was still better than most of the field) in the first match.

It looked to me like the ball was coming out before he went down. Either way, I think it was too close to overturn the call on the field.

I am amazed that the Packers didn't panic after being down 14-0. Clearly this is a much different team than what we had under Sherman where we saw that happen time after time. And to think, two years ago Brad Childress was the coach that people wanted.

One big thing that I don't understand and is such a crucial part of the Spider-Man story is the issue with Gwen Stacey. She's still dead and it is established that nobody knows Spider-Man's identity, but the whole reason she got killed was because Norman Osborne found out Spider-Man's identity. The whole thing is confusing to the point where I just won't bother buying the series rather than to try and figure it all out.

That's my feeling. What Marvel is trying to do now to the main series is why the Ultimate Spider-Man book was created in the first place. Now there is no need for it all. What I really find amusing is that the movies are enormously successful and they are leading to the same things that just got erased from continuity (Harry's death and the marriage). The whole thing is just ridiculous.

I'd love to see Patriots/Packers in the Super Bowl, since you have the story of Favre getting one last chance at winning it all against the team he beat 11 years ago for his ring against the undefeated juggernaut that will have beaten all the other top teams this year with Green Bay the only one left. However the media coverage would be relentless for that matchup and hard to withstand.

Packers Cowboys Colts Patriots They've been easily the four best teams this year and I don't see why that should change now.

This is the game I am really interested in this weekend.

Pretty much. If not for a couple of a bad third down throws by Hasselbeck this game would be blown wide open right now.

The Dark Knight is my most anticipated film since Lord of the Rings.

I already knew when I started watching in 1988. Its actually probably why I was never interested in it prior to that, but I discovered it was great entertainment anyways.

I don't really get this either. But I don't wanna be alone! I understand that I am missing the lifestyle, but that doesn't really matter to me that much. I didn't really start watching football until the MLB strike and at the time I was bitter and jaded over that dispute and seeing a successful franchise that was owned by the fans of a small city rather than some greedy dickhead owner (at the time I hated Dallas for that reason, although I have warmed up to Jerry Jones over the years) was something I found fascinating. The Packers were everything that I was angry about with MLB at the time. The Patriots I respect from a football fan standpoint, but am pretty much indifferent about them aside from that. Same with the Colts. They are of so little relevence to Green Bay aside from a potential Super Bowl matchup that I don't get very worked up about anything they do. I usually just cheer for whichever one I happened to pick to win. Dallas I still dislike as a rival, but they aren't nearly as annoying as they were in the 90s. Minnesota & Chicago are the teams I can't stand.

Better question, since the '72 Dolphins and their fans tend to add the postseason totals to the Perfect Season, does that mean, and it doesn't have to be in the Divisional Round, they still lay to their claim as the "only "true" unbeaten team in modern NFL history" despite sharing the "Perfect Regular Season" title with the 2007 Pats? If the Pats don't go 19-0 then they don't go undefeated.
