Most Important/Influential Matches of All Time
Kahran Ramsus replied to Diamonddust's topic in General Wrestling
I was about to mention this. If Hogan goes over here and Hulkamania runs wild in the AWA the wrestling landscape today would be completely different. -
The Bears aren't healthy though.
-
Detroit is better than Chicago and Oakland beat the Browns & Dolphins. I agree with your point however.
-
I feel much the same way. There are some obvious problems here, but I easily prefer it to the MTV-style baseball we get from FOX & ESPN.

Phils in 4 Cubs in 3 Indians in 5 Sawx in 3 Why do fans always care about what is best for business? We don't run the business and it is hardly a pre-determined 'sport' anyways. How about we as fans just enjoy a matchup between the two best teams (or your home team if they happen to still be in), whether they happen to play in New York or Cleveland or wherever?

Well, unless they do well with Dilfer (didn't happen last week) I guess the 49er resurgence will be held off for another year. They were struggling even with Smith. I don't see them going anywhere anyways. Both the Seahawks & Cardinals look to be better teams right now.

I liked that Jaws at least had the common sense to say it was unlikely. If a team goes 10-0, then we can talk about maybe going undefeated. Not in September. Especially when they haven't played anybody with more than 1 win yet.
-
Yes, the Bears are that bad. There is no excuse to giving up three interceptions to the terrible Detroit secondary.
-
It took you that long to figure that out?
-
I took Miami. They were a team desperate for a win playing a west coast team travelling east for a 1 PM EDT game. I might be regretting this shortly. I knew Dallas was a lock, but I decided to do something a little more risky this week.

Nothing better than seeing Favre break the all-time TD record while beating the Vikings on the road.

Congratulations on that one.

I just hope they don't break out the Don Hutson-era navy and gold for the Packers.
-
He should hold for awhile longer, if only because he is the only big name on the roster that is neither a major injury risk (ex. HHH) or a public relations nightmare waiting to happen (ex. Orton). Considering the number of people who have been injured or suspended this year, it is probably for the best to go with the safest choice.

The Rockers being advertised as former WWF Tag Team Champions during their breakup. Bret Hart repeatedly saying he was undefeated in cage matches going into his match with Diesel at In Your House.

I definitely remember Akili Smith playing pre-season games for Green Bay a few years back. Some QBs simply don't get a legitimate second chance if they don't show anything. How is Akili Smith's fate any different than another QB like Cade McNown?

Tom Brady has never lost to the Bills in Foxboro in his career. Based on what I've seen, I wouldn't call Denver a lock against any team on their schedule besides Kansas City. That's why I said almost. But Jacksonville is still an east coast team travelling west to face a superior non-divisional rival. Those types of games are among the safest you can pick. With the Buffalo game it was the reverse, the western team travelling east which is always a cause for concern (and Denver has a tendency to come out of the gate sleeping as well). Last game against Oakland is the classic example of why picking any divisional game is dangerous unless it is late in the year and one team has simply given up. Not that I think Buffalo is going to win, but any time you are playing within the same division an upset can happen.
-
That's the big one. Certain fanbases are brutal. Just ask Eli Manning, Rex Grossman or Chad Pennington. If McNabb is playing in St. Louis or Seattle he doesn't see any of this. I do question his health though. Last year prior to the injury McNabb was putting up the best numbers in the league aside from Peyton Manning. Like him or not, he was putting up points.

Baltimore and Pittsburgh are locks. The Broncos are close to being a lock too.
-
My God! I won a game!
-
I'm still there.

I went with the Jaguars. No way they lose their second straight game at home against a terrible Falcons team led by Joey Harrington and Warrick Dunn.
