He might retire with more TD passes than anyone in history of the NFL and he's not a first ballot HoF?

That seems to come from smaller stores like EB Games where you will find one or two display boxes on the shelves and the actual copies are stored in the back or behind the counter.

Plans for Edge vs. Cena, Trish and Lita; news on HBK and MNM
Kahran Ramsus replied to milliondollarchamp's topic in The WWE Folder
Reactions aside, Cena's segments on Raw spike the ratings and even pull in over a million new viewers from time to time. I'd say that means his run at the top is working. Part of the problem is that with regards to wrestling fans tend to put wrestlers in one of two categories with regards to drawing power: Hulk Hogan and Failures. That isn't an accurate way of categorizing it at all. Just because somebody isn't The Rock, doesn't mean he can't draw. -
Buffalo looks like they are getting ready to put in their bid for the #1 overall pick in the draft.

Plans for Edge vs. Cena, Trish and Lita; news on HBK and MNM
Kahran Ramsus replied to milliondollarchamp's topic in The WWE Folder
I agree with Iggy here. Cena/Edge is one of two RAW feuds (the other being HBK/McMahons) that is beyond stale at this point. We've simply seen it too much to care about it anymore, and pushing it beyond Summerslam would be a major mistake. Smackdown in the same timeframe has gone from Batista/Henry to Angle/Henry to Angle/Undertaker to Angle/Orton/Rey to Rey/JBL to Rey/Booker to Booker/Batista in the same time with a far more depleted roster. There is simply no excuse for the lack of imagination on the RAW side of things. Umaga sucks, but at least he's different. Or do an Edge/DX feud and kill two birds with one stone. -
Orton isn't there because he blew it. That's a little different than somebody leaving or dying.
-
Actually, Batista stole Orton's spot after his failure of a main event run in later 2004-early 2005 when Batista was starting to get incredibly over at the same time. Lesnar was gone months before there was any major plans for Batista. He was still dicking around with Flair in the tag division at the time. Batista is one of the few examples of the last few years of him getting over and getting pushed because of it, rather than the other way around.
-
Also, in a 'sport' where faces tend to be extremely gullible/stupid (think Sting), Batista is usually one step ahead of the baddies. One of the things that got him superover at the start of his push is that it was apparent that Trip thought he was playing Batista when in reality he was the one being played. This sort of thing happened again last fall when Batista was expecting Eddy to betray him at some point during their partnership.

Cena will almost certainly be in the main event, but the problem is that there is nobody he has left to face that is even remotely interesting beyond a heel-turned Shawn Michaels, and that isn't going to happen. Cena already will have beaten everybody by that point, except retired guys and Orton (who belongs in the main event about as much as Maurice Clarett belongs in church). Edge/HHH would probably be the most interesting potential matchup, but they are going to find a way to get Cena in there. Guarantee it.

Grossman will be hurt by October and they won't have a choice. This is alarming as a Packers fan, but these Bears look alarmingly like the 2000 Ravens or 2002 Bucs with Griese at the helm. At the very least they should destroy their joke of a division.
-
I'm not so sure about that. Joe Namath didn't do much of anything outside of Super Bowl III, and people remember him. As for Brady, he proved last year that he is a Top 5 QB in the NFL. Other than Peyton Manning & Carson Palmer, I can't think of a QB I'd rather have right now.
-
There was no chance of that happening. The only reason it was a big deal is because it is a slow time of year for news.
-
So much for Cleveland being a sleeper team.

Remember when Bo Jackson was origionally drafted by the Bucs as the #1 pick but sat out a year? He then became a 7th round pick. Bush should think of this scenario because that could easily happen to him if he holds out. The difference is that Bo had a fallback position, which was playing baseball for the Royals, so he could afford to say "Fuck Tampa Bay" and come back in the league later as a part-time player. This is why Bush won't do it. Bo Jackson always cared more about baseball than football.
-
Follow Follow Up Question: Where do you rank Runs Scored compared to RBIs as an individual statistic?
-
Bush won't sit the entire year. If he does, he'll be out of football for a year, be labelled a headcase, and won't even sniff #2 Overall at next year's draft. He's just holding out for the best deal he can get. Nothing more.

History of the WWE Championship 3-DVD Set
Kahran Ramsus replied to QuestionMan's topic in The WWE Folder
The biggest neglect just from glancing at the list seems to be Flair/Savage from Wrestlemania VIII. That really should have been on here. -
Is this their own show or merely something like Afterburn, Bottom Line, etc?
-
On the bright side, I couldn't recognize them if they were walking down the street wearing Spirit Squad T-Shirts so it should be easier for them than for somebody like Dinsmore.

What program would you like to see ME Raw?
Kahran Ramsus replied to iggymcfly's topic in The WWE Folder
Edge/Trip. It is about the only RAW program that hasn't already been done to death. Except it would have to be the cool Game Trip, not the lame DX one. -
This is horrible for the Atlanta Braves as one thing they could always count on was being able to reach a national audience every week. Without TBS, the value of the franchise won't be nearly as high. I'd be foaming at the mouth if the Blue Jays lost their coverage like that. It is one of the things that helped do in the Expos.

You think ESPN sucks? Well, NFL Network is Worse?
Kahran Ramsus replied to JimmyHendricks's topic in Sports
It is pretty good during the combine too. It is really after the draft until pre-season where very little of interest happens. During the season the network is great, and their analysis is certainly much better than what you get from the ESPN guys. -
My problem with FOX is that they seem to be more interested in talking about anything other than what is actually happening on the field (players relatives, current events, ads, the Yankees whether the Yankees are actually playing or not, and basically anything else they can think of). Last year for the All-Star Game we had the international MLB feed in Canada and the presentation was substantially better. It is a shame because their NFL coverage is pretty good.

Toronto goes from having the losing pitcher and last guy out to having the winning pitcher and the guy scoring the winning run in two ABs. Nice turn of events.
