It comes down to respect. Guys like Kurt Angle, Triple H, Undertaker, Chris Benoit & Shawn Michaels are seen by a portion of the fanbase to be 'legitimate' wrestlers. It is odd in HBK's case in particular, because this was the same group that couldn't wait to boo him 10 years ago when they saw him as a pretty boy stuntman. Rey due to his size and mask (the lousy booking hasn't helped) seems more of a gimmick than the above guys (yes, for some reason Undertaker seems more real to a lot of these people, probably because of longevity). Even so, unless it happens again with Misterio in the near future, it seemed to be more of a cheering for Angle moment than cheering against Misterio. Rey got the heaviest boos when he would come to Orton's rescue when Angle was about to beat him. The one exception to this would be the Women's Match, where Trish is pretty much in a league of her own talent-wise. But she has been on top for well over a year, and the fans possibly just want fresh blood. Either that or they hate women's wrestling in general and was cheering against its most visible star. Just some theories.

With the 23rd Pick in the 2006 Smartmarks Mock Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select OT Marcus McNeill from Auburn.

I'd like a Round 2. I'll see how that goes before I decide on Round 3.

As a Packers fan, I completely agree with VX's pick.

It has been 12 hours.

And cut down Hunter's ring entrance to an even 30? Not a chance.

If you can put the blame on 1 person for the decline of the WWE...

He's fighting a former four-time world champion tomorrow. -
JBL isn't always consistant in the ring, but he's a great brawler and is a much better wrestler than people give him credit for. He's had plenty of good matches over the past couple of years, including dragging John Cena to his best match ever at Judgment Day last year. He's a much better wrestler than Orton, but I won't go so far to say he's better in the ring than HHH. Character-wise, he's unsurpassed right now, and it makes him one of the most, if not the most entertaining wrestler on the roster to watch.

Speaking of the Hall of Fame, is it being aired anywhere?

I care. Now what is done in the past is done, and there isn't much they can do about it. MLB wasn't even testing at the time. Let those records stand, it is too much of a mess to try and clean up and we probably won't ever have conclusive evidence (barring confessions) anyways. But it should be cleaned up in the present and for the future. Just because something has been happening doesn't mean it should continue to happen. If so, slavery would still be legal in the United States. My real interest this week is the big Santana/Halladay matchup on Tuesday.

Orton wishes he was half as good as Triple H on the mic and in the ring... And I'm being dead serious. I agree with that. HHH is very good at what he does. He's certainly a lot better than Orton. My only two problems with HHH is that he's been doing the same thing for so long that he's become boring, and that his match results (win or lose) are telegraphed so far in advance that there is rarely any drama in his matches. He just isn't exciting any more. Even Taker had to go through that Bikertaker period and changed his style somewhat a couple of years ago. HHH is exactly the same now as he was in 1999, only not as strong and fast as he used to be due to age/wear and tear. Orton just sucks. He's okay in the ring, but the ring post has more charisma than he does.

WWE Championship John Cena Vs. HHH - The most obvious Wrestlemania main event since Austin/Michaels. The King of Kings will return to his throne. World Heavyweight Championship Kurt Angle Vs. Rey Mysterio Vs. Randy Orton - Orton has a shot, but I can't see him winning with the outcome of the other main event. That leaves Angle to retain or Misterio. I'm going to with Misterio even though he was the last guy added to the match, because it would probably give the better response. Plus Angle went over both guys huge on Smackdown last night, and that usually spells doom. Money In The Bank Match Bobby Lashley Vs. Fit Finley Vs. Matt Hardy Vs. Shelton Benjamin Vs. RVD Vs. Ric Flair - I don't even like RVD, but he should easily win here. Therefore, Ric Flair will win. No Holds Barred Shawn Michaels Vs. Vince McMahon - Shawn has been getting his ass kicked almost every time out since Summerslam. Unless he's in the dog house, he's winning. Vince doesn't even belong in the ring. Hardcore Match Mick Foley Vs. Edge - They will try to repair the damage, but it is too little too late as far as saving Edge. If he jobs here, his WWE career is basically over. And am I the only who thinks they are running out of ideas when they have both a Hardcore Match and No Holds Barred match on the same show? Casket Match Undertaker Vs. Mark Henry - No drama here. Taker takes it in one of his easier Mania wins. US Title Match Chris Benoit Vs. JBL - Here we go. The match that I am most interested in as my two favourite current wrestlers square off, and one of the hardest to predict. Logically, there are more directions to go in with JBL as champ than Benoit, so I think he will win. World Tag Team Titles Big Show & Kane Vs. Carlito & Masters - Smackdown is the show with the half-decent tag division, yet RAW gets its titles on the show? That makes no sense to me. M&M vs. London/Spanky would be far more entertaining. Carlito & Masters are trash and Show & Kane aren't good enough to carry them. Horrible match, and the champs retain. Boogeyman Vs. Booker T & Sharmell - Booker went from ordering Orton around to cannon fodder in two months. What happened? Booker should win in a short match, but Boogey will (sadly) crush him. Womans Title Match Trish Stratus Vs. Mickie James - Trish is great, but this is the first time in a long time that they have a chance to make a credible opponent for her. For that to happen, Mickie needs to win and she will. Pillow Fight Torie Wilson Vs. Candice Michelle - Not the fans, that's for sure. I'd rather Booker/Boogeyman go 20 minutes than see this crap.

I yelled at him about it, but he just went right back doing it, so he's gone now.

If they are smart, AJ Hawk.

The 1812 Overture, which, ironically enough, was written to celebrate England's victory after the defeat of Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo. Actually it was Napoleon's defeat in Russia (which would make sense since it was written by a Russian). Waterloo was in 1815. So then what was that song HHH used to come out to with the choir and everything? Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee. An adaptation of Ode to Joy. At least I seem to remember him using that variation. The music itself is definitely Ode to Joy.

I'm glad he's leaving on good terms after his years of great service to the league. It would have been terrible for him to retire with a lockout looming. Now the league should be safe for a while, even if the new guy sucks.

Japan vs. Cuba. Aside from Canada vs. Cuba, probably the best possible matchup.
-
Of course. The Vikings love crappy players from divisional opponents.

I've attended lots of Grapefruit League games, and they are mostly scrubs anyways. That's something you have to expect for a pre-season game. Same with any sport. You don't buy tickets to the first NFL pre-season game and then bitch that Peyton Manning only played one drive.

CUBA!!

It won't work if it isn't before the draft.

That should be expected.
