If HHH wins, there is absolutely nobody for him to face afterwards. He will have completely killed Batista's character and interest in it. Shawn has been getting pummeled by Trip for years now. He spent most of last year feuding with Benoit and just beat him on RAW a few weeks ago. He spent the entire fall/winter making Orton his bitch. Jericho & Shelton aren't serious threats. Edge is a heel. Of the Smackdown guys only Cena & Taker would have any value as future opponents. Rey never gets pushed that high, and Eddy is in the midst of a heel turn. Batista has to win. It is the only option they have.

But my point is that WWE is either too stupid or too full of ego (most likely both) to do anything with it that would draw money, like the Invasion. Yep. That's why they don't do more than the Rumble and a couple of Mania matches every year. Maybe a house show once a year or so. They sure aren't very good at planning things out.

I deleted it. I was the one who started it, but there was already another thread and there is no point in having two around.

If he had refused to fight and then put up with his jail term, I wouldn't be so hard on him. If he chose jail over Iraq for political reasons, then that is making a stand. But instead, he ran off to another country with his tail between his legs. He's just a coward who wanted a free ride and didn't get it so he took off.

You can do that for the qualifying rounds easily enough, but you don't have enough rounds for the single-elimination tournament. Part of the problem with KOTR is that they far too often only had 2 Rounds on the PPV instead of 3. The tournament should dominate the show. The big appeal of tournaments is in that there are a number of ways it can unfold even if there is a big favourite to win, like in the NCAA Basketball Tournament. It is harder to predict, and fans like that.

How about the big reaction it got at the Royal Rumble with both sides squaring off. Or whenever one brand is mentioned on the other show and gets booed out of the building. The live crowd eats this stuff up.

Amy was the only one worth anything, just because of her association with JBL. Other than that, I couldn't care less about any of them.

If they're making medical equipment, rest assured --- they're not a small company. This is stunning, but if Sony stole it, they stole it. -=Mike Microsoft did too, but they were smart enough to settle.

Wrestlemania should be the only place where interpromotional matches can happen pretty much up and down the card. Personally, this year I don't think there are enough. I would almost have every match but the title matches as being interpromotional to make Wrestlemania more special. The other times for interpromotional matches have been discussed in this thread already. KOTR. The PPV should contain the semi-finals and finals for both brands. With the winner from both brands taking each other on in the finals of the KOTR. Survivor Series. One RAW vs. Smackdown Survivor Series match. You can even create more interest by sticking heels & faces on the same team similar to the Wild Card match in 1995. Using current storylines, a HHH, Batista, Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels & Chris Benoit vs. JBL, John Cena, Kurt Angle, Undertaker & Eddy Guerrero match would certainly interest me. The Royal Rumble Match. Anything more than that is going too far and decreases the uniqueness of the concept.

HHH-Batista SHOULD HAPPEN: Batista destroys HHH to win the title in short order. Forget classic Wrestlemania main events, there's enough good matches on this show that you don't have to worry about quality here. I want to see something reminiscent of Warrior/Honky from Summerslam 1988. WILL HAPPEN: Batista wins, but after HHH gets a lot more offense than he should and the match drags on longer than Batista can handle properly. Batista will win, he has to. He's the most popular guy on RAW, and he would be destroyed by a loss. JBL-Cena SHOULD HAPPEN: JBL goes over by cheating, after Cena successfully drives off the rest of the Cabinet. This is the only big money feud Smackdown has, and it would be beneficial to delay the blowoff, as well as saving Cena's big win for a show where it wouldn't be forgotten as easily (thanks to Batista's win). WILL HAPPEN: JBL gets DQd or some kind of other cheap finish. Either way, he escapes with the title. Angle-HBK SHOULD HAPPEN: You don't do a one time only dream feud to have the face job, at least when both guys have limited long term value. WILL HAPPEN: Shawn wins, unless Orton is going over in which case Angle will win. Orton-Undertaker SHOULD HAPPEN: Tombstone and Taker goes to 13-0 which fits his gimmick oddly enough. WILL HAPPEN: I was positive Orton was going to win this, but his shoulder surgery sure changes things. Either it is a work, or he has to job here. Money in the Bag Ladder Match SHOULD HAPPEN: Edge wins after arguably the best match on the show, or at least the most exciting. He needs the win after Shawn buried him. WILL HAPPEN: Here is another one where I changed my mind based on what happened last week with Batista going over Kane. That now takes who I thought was going to win practically out of the match. Christian has no chance, so that leaves the other four who could possibly win this thing. I'll go out on a limb and say Benoit is taking it. WWE knows he's the best technical wrestler in the company, and they will probably want someone to make Batista look good while putting him over. Rey-Eddy SHOULD HAPPEN: Rey needs a big win on PPV in the worst way, and certainly more than Guerrero does. Plus, it would drive Eddy even more insane. WILL HAPPEN: Eddy has done too many jobs to Rey on Smackdown, and WWE Even-Stephen booking suggests he wins here. He Cheats to Win, which is supposed to turn him heel, despite him doing it for over a year as a face. Trish-Christy SHOULD HAPPEN: Trish dominates and sens Christy to OVW. WILL HAPPEN: Trish dominates and loses the title after Lita interferes. Surely, they aren't considering putting Christy over clean are they? Big Show-Akebono SHOULD HAPPEN: Obviously the guy who is going to be around next week should win. WILL HAPPEN: Who knows? I don't even know whether this is going to be a work or shoot. Note to Vince: Everything should be a work (see Brawl for All) FINAL THOUGHTS: Hmmm...that seems like an awful lot of faces going over. The only match with some wiggle room is the ladder match, so maybe Edge is going to win it after all. They could put both Angle & Orton over (not just one otherwise one brand looks inferior), but that would be a bad idea given Orton's injury and suckiness and Kurt's injury problems. I guess they are hoping for JBL to carry the heel load, unless (God forbid) Batista is jobbing.

It will look better after Trip jobs to Batista and JBL retains.

I've had lots of conservative professors believe it or not, some even in history. It does depend on the course somewhat. For example, if you take a history course about Society in Europe, you are probably going to get a liberal professor, but something like Japanese history is more likely to be taught by a conservative. My US History professor was quite conservative as well. There is nothing wrong with having a professor of either political stance, provided their views don't affect what they are teaching or they are extremely hypcritical. I never had a problem with either.

I have to admit though, I was always more of a fan of Lane & Eaton.

I could see it. Have Harry refuse to turn into the Goblin and try to do things his own way, but as he fails he goes slowly more insane and eventually just gives in and becomes the Goblin himself. I think you could drag it to the 4th movie, but after that is pushing it.

Eddy & Rey have a lot of charisma, but a lot of their appeal is also based on their in-ring ability. I don't think their charisma alone is better than Batista's, certainly not Rey anyways. Eddy maybe. HHH has the ability, but he's been on top for so long that fans are just bored of him. He if really tried, I think he could be up there, but he isn't at the moment. Ric Flair & HBK are in the same boat. They used to have charisma flowing out of their every pour, but they are just too old now and don't have the appeal that they used to. Flair especially is more of a ranting old lunatic than he is the charismatic ladies man of old. Shawn has started down that path too, although Flair is still a ways off in the distance. Booker isn't even close. I'm actually surprised you didn't mention Jericho.

I used to think that Stephanie was the smart one on this tribe, but then she made the braindead move of forcing a tie. She'll be lucky if Bobby Jon ever trusts her again. Despite her voting James in the tiebreaker, the damage was done.

It looks like this is over. At least I can feel relieved that this could never happen in Canada, if I happened to be in the same situation.

I'll be busy this week, so I'm rather fortunate in that this is week I get to miss,
