Well, it's between a couple of crappy teams and the Hornets giving up Mike James for some reason. I'd expect bigger trades between now and the deadline, this is just the Wizards trying to get guard help. And thank God they haven't traded Dixon again.. yet.

The improvement the Jets have gotten from having Favre over Pennington at QB has been fairly marginal, actually. The rest of that team is what's gotten a lot better, especially in the trenches. Explained: Jets QBs last year threw 15 TD's and 19 interceptions together- Pennington with 10 TDs and 9 INTs, and Kellen Clemens with the rest. Together they threw for 3,330 yards. At this point, with three games left in the season, Favre's thrown for 2,871 yards, 20 TDs and 15 INTs. While he's definitely provided the stability at the position and lack of injury that his predecessors have, Favre is on pace to throw as many (and knowing him, probably more) interceptions than last year's Jets QBs, about as many yards, with the obvious improvement being in touchdowns thrown, which is a big benefit. Also the defensive improvements can't be ignored. The Jets last year were 29th against the run (23rd in TDs) and 9th against the pass (6th in pass TDs allowed). This year, those numbers are pretty much flipped- they're 4th against the run (7th in rush TDs scored) and 31st against the pass (22nd in TDs). What's important to recognize here is that, statistically speaking, having a great run defense and a not-so-great pass defense usually means that your defense is getting it done in close games, and the pass defense numbers are brought down by the fact that since you're winning, other teams are throwing more. Also, Thomas Jones and Leon Washington are also having much better years this season compared to last year. Although the threat of Favre in the passing game has probably helped them, the difference is substantial- 20 total TDs scored between them so far this year, while last year they had 5 all season. TELL IT TO TONY KORNHEISER. lol You're right, I think the defense has been underlooked and is the biggest reason for the team being 8-5. They showed especially what they can do against the Titans. However, I meant the reason they were expected to be good is because of Favre. He is, of course, a small piece of the reason they actually HAVE improved. I just hope they have a plan for when he "retires" in a few months or a year.

With Daniels gone, it's going to be Arenas and a bunch of backups. Arenas Dixon Crittenton James Young Stevenson Brown This is a temporary move to try to help the team win more than 25 percent of their games, I would figure.

I was never a huge fan of her, but I get a feeling they gave her the comedy stuff and made her into a joke to try to get her to retire. She is near 40, her knees are bad, and she hasn't really contributed anything to the company in ages.

Are there any average teams in the NBA nowadays? Seems like everyone is really good or really bad. I guess Phiadelphia might be average.

Jets were expected to be moderately good because they added some guy at QB. Atlanta will be fine, so it comes down to Miami and Arizona. Hard to tell, Arizona has a much weaker division and just needs a running game, so I'll go with Miami.

I think it's not fair to criticize programs like OU for scheduling Washington, since UW was quite good when the game was scheduled, but yeah, this is going overboard.

How about Cole during the Rumble 03 title match saying "This has been the moment Chris Benoit waited his whole life for." then included "He sacrificed his family for a chance at the title!" during that spiel.

I hated 1989 Punisher and 2004 Punisher was a great movie. I felt 1989 Punisher was too lame and a lot of stuff I didn't like, including the Japanese Yakuza and the fact you don't see his family die. In 2004, it was a fun storyline and I got into it. I never read the comics, so that's probably why.

Eric Matthews is definitely the first thing that came to mind. He went from a normal teen obsessed with girls and his looks, to a real idiot. He was shown to be smart in the earlier episodes. Then again, continuity is not that show's strong suit.

Yeah I hated the Halloween remake. I liked the idea that Michael Myers was just an evil fucking kid who killed his sister for no reason. Now, he has a bad family life and it caused him to snap. What's next, blaming his anxiety medicine? It was an okay horror movie, but terrible 'remake'.

I think he actually came in around late-October/early-November, but still, it is a stretch. I was just checking this on Graham's website the other day. He debuted on Jakked the night before Survivor Series. So even though he did technically debut, I'm sure 99% of the viewers didn't know that*. *I was in the 1%...for some reason, I was a loyal Jakked viewer. God bless being a mark who will watch (or at least tape, in this case) any wrestling that's on television. I used to watch Jakked a lot back then. Was this the match against Tracy Smothers and his name was Rikishi Fatu? I remember that match for some reason. Anyways.. I liked Rikishi's heel turn. I didn't see it coming, and I thought the explanation was plausible (he was helping his friend out. What motivation would Billy Gunn have had? Helping his friend out.) They were setting it up perfectly, but I didn't see it coming until it happened. Great storyline. And his heel turn had potential, the problem is he jobbed hard in his 2 main event programs, HHH took the spotlight, and he was shoved into a tag team with Haku as a mid carder. While I liked that team, it wasn't going anywhere.

I was hearing Texas/Utah in Fiesta and Alabama/Ohio State in Sugar. Unfortunately, I don't think Texas/Alabama ever stood a chance, which is lame. Maybe because then there'd theoretically be THREE games you could conceivably call national championships.

Ohio State is a co-Big 10 champ but lost the BCS tiebreaker to PSU Mid majors got jobbed when there were less bowls, now undeserving mid majors get in (6-6 NIU? Okay.) because there's too many. Go figure. Alabama is still scoring against Georgia.
