WWE General Discussion-November 2008
Psycho Penguin replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in The WWE Folder
Oh yes. Wouldn't be as good as a match, but the heat would be nuts. Not necessarily. It also depends on the city where the match is held. Rock/Hogan wouldn't have gotten the reaction it received in Toronto anywhere else.. except maybe NYC or Philly. I was under the impression the question was about their potential WM25 match, which would be in the same city as Rock/Austin was. -
I'm interested to see how they start the Matthew Hardy/Kozlov program if they're going that route. And if Kozlov still technically undefeated? He lost the match but wasn't pinned. That's a good question on the ties and battle royal question. I'd probably say ties, but they both are used way more than they should be.

It was definitely one of those games where the emotion and wanting it more carried BSU, then the talent took over. If BSU had OU's talent and the same desire.. it would have been bad.
-
The Lions have played well in some weeks, though. I bet some of the 90s Bengals teams could rival this. How about the year the Pats and Colts both went 1-15, with one of them getting their lone win off the other one? But yeah, this is pathetic.
-
I believe they were doing intentional bloopers as part of a storyline, maybe RAW View, because there sure were a LOT around that time period. That one was classic.
-
Another 3 way at Armageddon. I guess that was the best way. I'm interested to see how they got two matches to go exactly 12:13, and if there were any clock shenanigans going on. Interesting strategy for Matthew, too. I dig it.

Don't forget Boise dominated OU, Anti Hero, and it was "worse than the score indicated". I remember Boise being up like 21-3 in the 3rd quarter and then almost losing because of a dumbass INT for TD towards the end. That was a fun game. Boise/Ball State in the Liberty Bowl would be VERY intriguing this year.
-
"You said they weren't booing before.. well they're booing now." "They were getting warmed up."
-
I think most smart people know who to blame for the Thunder. I only saw the last 30 seconds of the game, but good finish to ORL/PHI last night.
-
I knew Boise would win too, but I make a lot of crazy predictions and I never put any money on it. I believe in Ball State now and I think they deserve a better bowl than the Motor City. I'd love to see them play Nebraska again, since they almost won at Nebraska last year and they weren't as good then.

Sorry. I do that a lot. And I didn't see you were talking about Utah making the national title game. My bad on that too. I do agree Utah does not belong in the national title game as the system is set up now.
-
I said they deserve a shot in the BCS (series, not title game, since apparently there's no S in BCS) THIS YEAR, then said 2004 Utah COULD HAVE won the national title. It's two different things. Also, I was making a comment on this game currently on, because someone kept saying Ray Bentley is biased against Ball State. It has nothing to do with whatever inane argment you want to make since I was agreeing Utah doesn't deserve a national title shot, and I've been saying Ball State shouldn't even be in the BCS.
-
I said the 2004 team has a CHANCE. And I meant a shot in the BCS series. You know, the other 4 games besides the fake national title game we'll end up with. Noted Ball State hater (?) Ray Bentley just said Ball State deserves a shot at a national title if they go undefeated. Yeah, he's real biased so far.

Hypocrite. He would sing a different tune if he worked for WWE still. -
I knew I had seen that pic before.
-
I can't believe the Wizards fired Eddie Jordan. Maybe he should have been a voodoo healer or something. This is pathetic. Then the interim coach will have a healthy Arenas in a few months and we'll magically make the playoffs. Sigh.
-
Utah deserves a shot a lot more than Ball State does. Oregon State, TCU, and BYU are legit enough wins. Let them have their BCS shot, and hopefully it's against someone a little better than Pittsburgh this time. (Even though I still say THAT Utah team was a once-in-a-blue-moon really good mid major that could have won the national title. And this one isn't. Oh well.)
-
I'm not following this at all. A 1-loss Tech team would go since they won the Big 12. Texas would go for being the next rated team in the BCS, if not the national title game then certainly the Fiesta or something. That's why at-large bids exist! And again, there's no rule that a non conference champion can't go to the title game. If anything, it's been proven to be the opposite at times. USC would win the Pac 10 if they win out, they just won't be the BCS representative. They would need an at-large. Why would OU be ranked ahead of Tech if OU lost to OSU?
-
5 games guaranteed to be on TV for everyone (well, 4 and ARZ/PHI), and all of them suck.
-
Dam, did you forget who OU would lose to? It'd be a four way tie.
-
MAC Title game is next week. FUN FACT - If everyone in the top 3 of the Big 12 South loses this week, Tech goes!
