Mania doesn't automatically get an amazing buyrate because it's Mania, Porter. WM XIX drew a shitty 550,000 buys.

And WWE's best ratings were in 2000, when it was at it's height for comedic storylines+characters, and the wrestling was at it's best too.

"Fast Times At Titan Towers" A weekly hour-long show in which Vince gradually loses his marbles and he and various WWE wrestlers and staffers do... comedy. I pretty much think Vince slowly becoming a senile old man on WWE TV would be gold. Especially if Vince is just acting.

Because they took an idea established last week - Will Bischoff Be Fired - and turned it into a story all the way through the show, which actually had a beginning, middle and end. WWE hasn't done a good, building story like that around a show since Austin/McMahon. And yes, now that they've found a nice formula, they need to get more wrestlers doing it. HHH and Show would be the most likely...

If Bischoff IS fired, they need to have Duke Droese as one of the security guys dragging his ass out of the arena...

So, will HHH call Show out on how his chokeslamming Rey on Eddie's lowrider is probably more of an asshole thing to do than putting an old wifebeating fart out to pasture?

I think Flair/HHH and the Survivors match will deliver plenty. You know Flair and HHH will pull out all the stops together. And I think Rey Misterio's time to shine will be Survivor Series. SD is going over, but JBL is a heel. Rey's gotta win it for them.

Match ratings are based on the popularity, and the match type, and how good the rivalry is, if the match contains a feud. I have had shows with four ***** and two ****1/2 matches. This was after playing for like two years, by then I had 12 wrestlers in the 90's popularity-wise, and then it's ratings city baby. PPVs are where the real fan momentum shifts happen. I won 875,000 fans from Raw after a No Way Out with the above star ratings. The key is match wrestlers with similar popularity together in feuds. The longer the feuds go on, the better the matches they have, and the more their popularity goes up...

Angle does need a break. His medical problems are well documented. Looking at him, he's aged 10 years in five. Right now, he looks to be in the worst shape ever, but he's still putting out great matches. But it sounds like that's all that keeps him going.

I actually agree with him until he first mentions Eddie by name. From there on, it's BS central.

GM Mode reminds me of Extreme Warfare Deluxe. Good feuds mean the populatity of both wrestlers involved goes up. But usually, a less popular wrestler will take popularity from a wrestler he beats. If the match is good, they gain more and the other guy loses less. Pretty simple stuff. I always enjoyed EWD. EWR and it's sequal are too long winded for me... If you are struggling with injuries and finding it hard to put out a good rating, don't forget title matches and changes boost ratings, and this game doesn't mind a title change every week. In fact, I think there's an length of time of just three weeks before a champ is considered stale in this game. Anyone had people demanding title shots yet? I wish there was an icon next to Email to say there are new messages, because I was always forgetting to check it... about 3 people had demanded title shots... no wonder their morale was in the toilet. I tell you, GM mode is there to be mastered so you can put out **** shows every week... one you've built up enough cash... change the free agency settings and add the legends... then snap 'em up... A bit unrealistic maybe... but I think it's the only way since so many of the guys only have about 30 pop at the start and are ratings death...

Rivalries are the key really. The only matches I had over **** were when the wrestlers were in a rivalry that had been going more than 3 weeks. My best matches so far have been a Last Man Standing match between Undertaker and Booker T (****1/2) and a WWE Title Hell In A Cell main event at No Mercy, which is my first ***** match. It was Randy Orton vs Batista. Main event hype gives a nice boost to the rating too. And unlock the legends, and hire them! I was struggling with injuries until I hired Bret , Austin was next, and I think I'll hire Hogan too.

Add me to the list of people who think that if Batista's out injured, then there isn't really a better time than to experiment with Rey as World Champion. He is over enough and he's shown he can carry a main event feud. Why the hell not.

This is either going to be a really good PPV or the worst of the year... I have good feelings about it though.
