God bless Stone Cold Steve Austin. His walking out has single handedly killed the worst angle of the year dead, and WWE finally seem to be coming to their senses. Austin may have metaphorically slapped the sense into Vince.
-
Totally on Austin's side. Mark freaking Henry?!? Vince has lost his mind....

Wonderwall by Oasis? You're kidding me right, that song is ten years old now.
-
I recall that the Vince and Austin in hospital thing was part of a somewhat famous feud that drew a few dollars...

Hey, this lot seemed to enjoy it! http://www.wwe-club.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=44209

Smackdown has been a consistently good show for eight weeks. Raw has been consistently bad for four...

1. HBK 2. Mysterio and Christian 3. Submission 4. Street Fight 5. Dude Love 6. Lingerie if Maria's in the match.

It's gotta be Dinsmore...

Well, fuck WWE for being so STUPID that they would seemingly bring back Stephanie as a regular heel character, just because she was voted the person who the fans most enjoyed seeing getting stunned? Seeing Stephanie after two years only to get stunned = FUNNY. Stephanie back as a regular heel character, opening Raw and sucking hideously = FUCKING STUPID. Doink? I need some hard alcohol.

Edge vs Hardy, Unforgiven.

Consistency is the key. I find that in 2005 WWE has been putting on good shows more than they used to. PPV especially. Only No Way Out and the Bash were bad PPVs this year. But on TV they still tend to be hit and miss. They've started some decent storylines with Homecoming, now they need to start stringing good shows together - 6 or 7 of them.

Maven, for the reasons others have outlined. The Maven Eyebrow. Could have been huge. HUGE!

I can really see a heel winning the Rumble next year. Randy Orton probably takes favorite, unfortunatly. I just had a thought that it would be kinda cool if Edge uses his shot at Rumble, loses, and then goes on to enter the Rumble and win. He's a heel, so the win would be ultra-shady of course.

Were No Mercy or Taboo Tuesday ever destined to do a huge number of buys though?
-
I know it isn't here, but the general consensus on the 'net is that Homecoming was a good show. Not blowaway, but a 7 or 8 out of 10. See polls on the Torch, PWInsider, etc. And I've been surfing a hell of a lot of boards. WWE's got people's attention - next few weeks is the key, whether they build on this momentum or just fritter it away as they have done for so many years.

WWE last got a 4.4 for the Draft Lottery this year, but a 4.4 over 3 hours is better than a 4.4 over two.
-
Watch next week and find out. There was a lot of stuff on Raw like that. I like it... maybe some more decent storylines are coming up.
-
Just for Survivor Series, I reckon. After what Vince said after the Austin stunner fest, I think it will be some sort of stipulation like the GM of the losing side is fired.
-
Well, if Orton can show up, then hopefully Kennedy can too...
-
So the first thing WWE does on USA is shove Rnady Orton down our throats... Er... yay?

Pix from inside the arena...

WWE is doing a really good job of introducing new faces recently. I don't think the crowd reaction for Lashley WAS piped. Seems the fans got right into him right away, and why not?
-
I think he has potential. He's better than Cole was at the same stage in his career, no matter what anyone says. Cole's been around six years... Grisham two tops.
-
I didn't think the 8-man tag could live up to the 10 man tag match from Feb 2000 because for one, the crowd had been pretty dead all night. But they damn sure did it! Crowd was piping from start to finish and it was full of goodness. Matches like this get everyone involved a little more over. Edge won't be harmed by being the one to take the pinfall - he's probably going to SD to face Batista.

Is Bischoff winning the title in two weeks?
Caliban replied to CBright7831's topic in The WWE Folder
I think this is about as likely as Big Show running a marathon. And winning.
