Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released
StrapFinlay replied to Human Fly's topic in The WWE Folder
Just had a flashback. When they said at the news conference yesterday about the details of the deaths and they mentioned asphyxiation, did the person speaking when asked by reporters about specifics say "we're just keeping is to asphyxiation at this time"? -

I agree. But at the same time, killing someone with your finishing wrestling movie is ironically hilarious. Not that it's not wrong, because it is. But man. I'm sorry but the image alone...it's like something someone would write into a bad B movie. Tea on the keyboard now. But you're completely right, and the image...oh dear...and afterwards I can picture him doing a "Bob Backlund-styke" looking at his hands. IF this wasn't so fucked-up, and we were plotting a surreal film about fictional characters, we'd be hard pushed than to beat some of this speculation. Though I'm still waiting for the necrophilia accusations to start. -

Hogan would keep kicking out of the suicide attempt... And the average height is about 5ft10.5 -

So, Chris' steroid use will be defended by Vince? Gotta protect the culture of the business, I suppose. If it's like the WWE statement realsed an hour or so ago, it will claim his last test was negative, the steroids found were on prescription, and that his actions seem premeditated and not a "rage". -

I must have missed something, or must be out of the loop, just seemed like a regular interview to me. He seems to be being somewhat pro-WWE - especially backing the Wellness stuff - but given the legal side he has to be careful. -

Not trying to joke, but aren't those injuries consistent with a crippler crossface? That's exactly what I was thinking. Same here, oddly enough. His knee at the small of her back is what came to mind. But, during that move, isn't the front part of the body raised up slightly? Only thing I can think of is she somehow rolled off the office table - or whatever she was on - hence the bruising on her front. One option that would bruise the front of the body and small of the back would be the sharpshooter. Stupid idea, I know, but given there are now reports that he may have used a chokehold on his son (see above), it's possible. -

So the whole "he gave his wife a crossface hence her injuries" line may actually be true. This is getting more and more bizarre. Didn't he always used to front those "Don't try this at home" segments? -

"The medical examiner found bruising on the small of her back and bruising on the front of her body consistent with being crushed up against the floor." I read that as the small of her back being bruised, and the front of her body being crushed against the floor. -

Looks like the "they died too young" issue is getting some column inches: http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2003560...7290355,00.html Sells 3,000,000 plus a day. -

That's possibly true before the details emerged, because some may have thought it "accidental", self-defence, etc. But if it was known that she was twatted over the head and tied up first, I think the reaction would have been almost exactly the same. -

Fair enough, but I wasn't saying that Vince should be blamed in any way for this. Just pointing out that in my opinion, he will be - rightly or wrongly. And the more that's coming out, the worse it looks. Benoit was injecting his seven-year-old son with growth hormone?!? -

Agree with you in the most part. But I'd love to know where the Bibles were opened if they were. Though as far as I'm concerned I wouldn't really draw much into the religious aspect of this - it really has no importance in this situation. -

I read page 1/30 and then started reading from here(page 50), can anyone explain what this is about? Bibles, that may or may not have been open, were left next to his suffocated, tied up wife and his suffocated kid. -

Leaving a bible next to a victim does not necessarily mean he was a religious freak. As someone else said, leaving religious artifacts with a body is often a sign of remorse from the killer. The fact he had (at least) two Bibles in the house would suggest something to me, but then again we're not religious over here these days. -

No, he used to let go pretty soon after the bell rang... Seriously, though, hard to answer without ever having spent "real" time with him, and even the likes of Eddie may not have known the real him. -

If only there was a way of legally testing Vince then he'd be f**ked. Though thankfully, the Bible stuff didn't creep me out at all. I really thought it was going to be sexual abuse/necrophilia from what was said before. -

It is clear Vince can't/won't police the business himself. The only way things would change is if the congress got involved. This is the end of Vince, make no mistake. Oh come on. You seriously think Vince is going to retire or quit, or that the government will shut wrestling down? No, no and no. -
