Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released
AlexPuma replied to Human Fly's topic in The WWE Folder
Mero has no beef with Vince McMahon. He has no beef with certain wrestlers. The only thing he has a beef with is his friends dying. He's not out to "stick it to the WWE". He's not desperate for attention or money. He just wants to see real change in the wrestling industry. This was stated on his interview with F4W. If you want to see people push their own agenda, look at Chyna, Brian Christopher, Jacques Rougeau, Road Warrior Animal, or any WWE guy. As for Crush, this guy is huge, an obvious steroid and drug user, and worked in both WWE and WCW. This is where the shit hits the fan. -

And Sherri and Biff Wellington. And what's wrong with Marc Mero? The guy brings up valid points and I'm behind him all the way. The industry does need a real change. -
So far it's just WWE that reported this? I hope this is just a misreporting like Cpl Kirchner's death. If it isn't, I feel bad for the industry. This is most likely a "steroid" death and the media will eat this up if its true.

Miz is one of those guys who never should be a face. EVER. Maybe if he toned down his dorkieness and went into a scrappy Spike Dudley face mode, perhaps he could, but his current character is a pure heel and is so unlikeable that I love it.

I think the best thing that could come out of the Rock never leaving is that there would most likely be a Ric Flair vs The Rock feud that would have brought the house down wherever it went. Just by going off the little bit they worked with each other at WM20 proves that there is a certain chemistry between them and they'd play off of each other's characters well. Triple H would probably still have his backstage powers, and Rock would probably be on SmackDown! after the Flair feud, so Rocky and Hunter won't have to BUTT heads and compete for airtime. Also, a Rock / Cena program would have been all kinds of awesome, and Cena would be getting the rub from a major star in the process, as Cena would be one of the few new guys that would even be able to hang with Rocky in the mic skill department. Also, The Rock vs "Rated R" Edge, "Captain Charisma" Christian, Ken Kennedy, MVP, and especially Monty Brown would also be awesome feuds with some legendary promos.

One problem with RVD in the WWF Attitude era is that Russo would probably try too hard to make his character "edgy" like Val Venis and The Godfather were, and make RVD into a major pothead character complete with Bill & Ted style promos and carry 4:20 signs around. He probably wear contacts so his eyes are red all the time and would be involved with many hilarious skits where he's having a deep philosophical talk with Head while hanging out with the J.O.B. Squad. And then he'd claim to be the "Higher" Power, and everyone would laugh.

Wrestlescale - Results You are central in your beliefs about wrestling. You accept the idea of both old-school and sports entertainment but are not extreme in either way. You believe that angles and matches are equally important to create a good wrestling product. Most similar booker: Paul Heyman Most similar promotion: ECW 1998 --- I've got ECW '98... I guess endless RVD Title reigns, never ending matches between Super Crazy / Tajiri, and Taz as an unstoppable SoB is my thing. Which it is YAY!

There are Livejournal groups dedicated to how hot the Miz is and how much the girls wet their panties thinking about him, much like there are ones about the Hardyz, Shannon Moore, Randy Orton, Batista, and John Cena. Women love the Miz. This is a known fact. Your blind jealously of him doesn't change that fact. I can't see how any woman can find Jeff Hardy attractive, but I don't complain about it and whine that I can't get some because of it.

Wasn't there an angle where Heidenreich was assaulting plants in the audience when he was still with Heyman? That is true shit hitting a (fake) fan there.
-
IIRC, Undertaker didn't appear on RAW/SmackDown! is Eddie either.
-
I still don't get the pointless and extremely homophobic comment.

I have to seriously ask... why do you think so?

I'd say every source out there is too biased for their own good. GameSpot, 1up, and EGM seems to have a huge hardon for the 360 while GamePro might as well change their name to SonyPro. The fact that EGM actually started to use the term "nongame" in their magazine made me want to cancel my subscription right away. Elitist pricks. Of all of them, IGN is the lesser of all the evils so I choose them. Even if they are greedy whores and overrates mediocre games because EA has a lot of money.

For Sonic and the Secret Rings, I got it not too long ago. It's a really messed up game in the way one moment I was thinking that this game was awesome and possibly the best console Sonic game since Sonic Heroes took the games in the wrong direction. The next moment, the game throws me in horrible, inane missions and tosses a bunch of crap in my face and then laughs at me. The next moment I love it again until the next inane mission. Good thing I managed to score the game for free. The game is "wait until you can grab it for $30" at best. I'm playing Paper Mario on the VC more than anything right now, it even took over my playings of Scarface, which I have yet to finish.

It was just natural for me to be skeptical. I've only seen Dan Spivey wrestle as Waylon Mercy and the name is common enough that it could be somebody completely unrelated. Plus he looked like he was over 70 in that pic. The guy didn't age well. But I was wrong. It is him.
-
Are you certain that this is the same Dan Spivey that used to be a wrestler? I tried looking up his middle name to no luck. His run as Walyon Mercy was criminally short and should have made him a long time player in the upper card much like his former partner the Undertaker. The guy was big and had talent and charisma. Perhaps even more so than Kevin Nash did at the time.

I updated my list in the first time in forever. Finally got my lappy repaired to the point where it's reliable again . I added songs from Kai En Tai - Luther Reigns... including the ulta rare Latin Lover theme song and the Narcissist theme. I also uploaded The Model Rick Martel's song and the Young Stallions due to request as well. Be certain to pick up that awesome Kenzo Suzuki / Rene Dupree theme mix as well.

Yeah, he got down to about 315, but was told to gain the weight again for the Strongman competition. Just picture this... he was working on how to do Frankensteiners in OVW and other fun stuff. I wish we got a chance to see that Mark Henry. But the dude is a hell of an athlete for being a short, now overweight guy. It sucked that he's returned bigger than ever. Mark Henry breaking out a hurricarana would have been the greatest moment in the history of wrestling. I concur. Cole: What's Mark Henry doing, John? *Mark Henry with a rana* Crowd: UWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That reminds me of the time in 2001 when Kane started busting out a Luchadore moveset for a few months with no explanation.

I've watched some of the E3 coverage on G4, first time I watched that channel in over a year (since last years E3). Adam Sessler has gotten better. He's way better when he's not forced to regurgitate horrible lines written by reject Hollywood/sitcom/WWE writers. And Morgan Webb looks like Stephanie McMahon now O_O. She still sucks though.

Damn that Microsoft conference was awful. Almost Sony 2006 bad. Nothing new really. Halo 3 still looks like Halo 2.5. Assassin's Creed looked very glitchy. Nothing new on GTA4. Resident Evil 5 was the only highlight. And don't forget about Disney movies on X-Box Live! OMG that is the biggest thing to happen to video games since the SEGA CD! And also: Scene It! is exclusive! That will win the race for Microsoft in a big way! I also feel bad for anybody that paid full price for Gears of War, as 360 owners just got burned big time as the PC will be getting the much superior version. EDIT: Isn't that the ugliest thing you ever saw?

If I seriously hear any more crap about WoW, or Leeroy Jenkins, or whatever, I'm seriously going to scream. I have a coworker who I seriously believe he does nothing but play World of Warcraft all day, as that is the only thing he talks about at work. Ever. And WoW memes like Leeroy Jenkins. The video wasn't funny the first time around, so STOP REPEATING THE SAME TIRED JOKE!

I could have told you that Mach Rider is really nothing special. The music is great, and a Wii sequel would be wonderful, but the NES game is just a ho-hum experience overall.
-
I don't mind as as long as their not intrusive. And only in games where it would make sense too. In games like Gran Turismo, it actually enhances the game to see in game ads on the side of the road. It would seem out of place, though, if I was playing Zelda and there happened to be a McDonalds in Kakariko Village. Fake ads seem to work in games that try not to present itself as real life. Grand Theft Auto and Mario Kart 64 are both games that used fake ads wonderfully.

I just bought and am playing Pokemon for the first time with Pokemon: LeafGreen on the GBA. And I really did not know what I was missing. Possibly the only good RPG games to be made since the SNES days. Shame I still only have the 'classic' Gameboy Advance, causing major neckstrain just so I can light the damn screen. I'll be picking up a DS Lite soon, so that should take care of any problems there. Also, I bought Super Mario Bros 2 on VC. Great game, just overshadowed by every other Mario game. Yes, it's probaly the worst 'official' Mario game, but it is by no means a bad game. It just means it gets a 9/10 instead of a 10/10. Easy. All the development time is spent on flashy graphics and "deep" online multiplayer and the like. It's the lazy way out. I don't like it, but it is easier to impress the average gamer with smoke and mirrors than with real content.

WWE General Discussion for July 2007
AlexPuma replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
Isn't there a rumor now that Matt Hardy is being prepped for a WWE Title program with Edge? It would explain the winning streak lately.
