Comments that don't warrant a thread

I picked up Sonic Mega Collection last night, knowing it's away better deal than waiting for each Sonic game to come out individually for the VC. Smart move on my part. I beat Sonic 1 for the first time without savestates for the first time ever. Feels very satisfying when I win without cheating . I only collected two emeralds, those special stages are though. Also, I managed to find a copy of Star Fox 64 for $5.00 at GameCrazy. The original cart for 50% less than the VC? Good deal I say.

    My WWE Theme Collection

Sometimes it's difficult to tell when a worker has multiple themes that sound simular. Was it the one from WWF The Music vol 4? Or the one that starts the same, but is mixed with his slower theme? EDIT: Oh, I see you must have posted it later in the topic. I must have skimmed over it earlier.

That's what made it worse. If I had a low speechcraft stat, I'm screwed. And to make things worse, there's virtually no way to level it up without having a whole entire town hating your guts (or abusing saves or hacking, but I try to play my games fair). It just shouldn't have been a stat, period. I can understand having it in Dungeons and Dragons, but not a video game.

Junk Yard Dog (Grab Them Cakes) Uploaded in my list now, posted here for your convenience. EDIT: Okay, updated some more with Orlando Jordan's theme as well. Orlando Jordan (What I Want To)

    TAFKA Goldust theme

I have it uploaded in the WWE Themes folder, just so you know.

I can't speak for Oblivion, but having Morrowind on the PC proves I'm just unable to play those type of game period. Once I found out how many pointless stats there are in the game (there's a stat for speechcraft for crying out loud!) and how slow certain stats level up that I just gave up on the game. I tried to level my character up so he'd at least be able do fight a peasant without almost dying, but I get bored before anything really happen and just give up. There's better games out there that don't require me to play ten hours a day just to get some satisfaction out of it. I'm better off finding some friends and trying to learn some pen and paper RPG instead of playing this. At least I'm socializing with real people then.

    My WWE Theme Collection

So this is that remix he used from 2003/2004-ish on? Would you mind uploading it? Yes it is. It's now uploaded, plus a few more down the list. One thing I love about my collection not just having the themes, it's having the obscure theme songs or theme songs for a WrestleCrap gimmick. I love collecting songs for suck gimmicks like the Bastion Booger, The Goon, TL Hopper, or Faarooq Asad. As much as I love those, the obscure themes rule just as much, just like Val Venis' techno theme or The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust's theme, very underrated mixes of those songs. Just two quick questions though, since I've just uploaded the songs. 1. When was Faarooq (Listen) used? Was it after his stint in the Nation but before the Acolytes? Or was it before that? 2. Was the Great Sasuke's theme the same one he used while working in Japan? Or is it a production theme? I ask because it sounds very different from anything Jim Johnson has produced. EDIT: Oh, and Chui, Undertaker 2nd (Funeral March) seems to have expired already.

I'll quickly download the ROM (just to try it) and I'll get back to you soon. EDIT: Well, apparently they are both completely different games. I've only played about two stages of each keep in mind. I need to actually finish the first Bonk game yet before I play the second one more. These links can help you compare. http://bonkzonk.com/game.ktn?Game=pcg2 - TG16 version http://bonkzonk.com/game.ktn?Game=gbg2 - Gameboy/Super Gameboy version

    Shooting at Virginia Tech Campus

Jesus Christ, can these dumbass kids stop killing each other. All this does is give me flashbacks to the ROCORI School shooting, when I was in class when the shooting occurred. It sucks, and I don't think I recovered psychologically yet from that experience, and being reminded of the senseless violence like this only makes it worse.

I picked up Bonk's Revenge with no hesitation after having so much fun with Bonk's Adventure. From the little bit I played of it, it's even better than the first one. I fully support a comeback for the hard-headed caveboy.

Apparently Bonk's Revenge is rumored to come out next Monday. I'll pick that up with my remaining 700 points. Bonk's Adventure ruled. I agree that Splatterhouse would be way more fun with more than one player and also if it just didn't feel like Kung-Fu with blood and B-grade horror characters. I might wait and try the sequels when they come out, I only got the game because my one friend was pegging me to buy it for ages and I got to shut him up finally. The lesson: Friends don't force friends to buy mediocre VC games.

    Wii

I was bored today and picked up Splatterhouse and Toe Jam & Earl on the Virtual Console. Toe Jam & Earl is still good fun. A decent, leisurely-paced game to play if I'm feeling bored and lazy. Plus the music is great to boot. I can't wait to play this with friends. Splatterhouse, on the other hand, is an example of a game that gets by on total gimmick. The cheesy B-movie slasher flick feel makes the whole game. Without it, nobody would have looked twice at the game. Still fun, though I wish it had multiplayer.

Okay, I've updated my list some more. Any more requests? Comments? Anything? Dan "The Beast" Severn / Dr Death Steve Williams Here you go. And sorry, I don't happen to have the PPV themes... I wish I did...

Comments that don't warrant a thread

On a different topic, I'm currently avoiding GameStop/EBgames at the moment, really because they're showing the full ending for Zelda: TP on the video they show in the stores. That has to be the most brain dead thing a company has done, I can't fathom how this will help the company in the long run. I know of a few people willing to boycott the company just because of it. It'll be like like having a major just months after FF7 came out. Heck, even showing the ending to FF7. I can't imagine anybody wanting to play FF7 after seeing how bad the ending is.

That's on the first one's I've watched, and made me almost think that the guy is actually watchable. How wrong was I. The guy became such a caricature of himself that he ceased to be funny or make good points anymore. But that is his best review because he doesn't try to hard to be funny, and it actually seems to be informative. Plus, CastleVania 2 is in a long list of "Second games in a great franchise that either really suck or just not worth the time", along with Super Mario Bros. 2 (Japan), Zelda 2, and Final Fantasy II (Japan).

Please, NEVER bring up Angry _ Nerd's review of the game. The guy is less trustworthy than GameSpot for game reviews, and he is just not funny nor is he worth my time to watch.

    Grand Theft Auto IV

Wait, are they actually making a second Manhunt? Manhunt 2 is being made for the Wii, PS2, and PSP. As much as I want to support Rockstar making games for the Wii, I'd sit out on Manhunt due to it not being my type of game. I'm most definately getting Scarface for the Wii though.

    Mortal Kombat Armageddon

O'Doyle: Mortal Kombat on Sega Genesis is the best video game ever. Billy: I disagree. It's a very good game, but i think Donkey Kong is the best game ever. O'Doyle: Donkey Kong sucks! Billy: You know something? YOU SUCK! If anybody wants to have some fun *not really*, look for the ROMs of the pirated NES versions of the Mortal Kombat series. That is the definition of awful.

I'm only passing on it because I already own the game. Trouble is I don't have an NES to play it on, except at a friends house, and who goes to a friends house to play single player games? I'm mostly just waiting for games I already haven't played to death before anyway, like Beyond Oasis or Bonk's Adventure. If I bought TMNT, I'd play it for like an hour and then let it rot for on the system memory, like I did to Sim City and Super Mario Bros. EDIT: And I'm not suggesting anybody to buy the game unless they already know what they're getting into. The game is hard and cheap at times. And if you don't like it, that's just your opinion, just don't unfairly say the games sucks just because of it. And what I don't support is raising the prices of certain games, especially one that gets the hate of TMNT does. It'll be like if every Rare game released from here on out will cost 200 points extra so Microsoft can profit from them as well, no matter what Rare game it is, be it Donkey Kong Country 2, Banjo Kazooie, Goldeneye 007, BattleToads, Killer Instinct, or Snake Rattle and Roll.
