    CZW Trifecta Elimination II

I'm thinking Excalibur or Webb takes it. And seeing as PWG 1 Year Anniversary show is the same day as BoTB4 that means it's Webb. I wouldn't be against seeing more of guys like Justice but don't think he'll be stuck into BoTB4

    Who esle gets morning amnesia?

Random sleepwalking experiences - *) When I was about 5ish I used to piss in a bin in one room of the house on a regular basis (whilst asleep) - took my parents a while to realise what was going on *) Sleepwalked up and down a moving bus then tried to open the door and get out *) Whilst in hospital after having my appendix out I got up (attatched to drip) and tried to rip the drip out of my arm *) After returning home after the appendix losing op. I couldn't really walk up and down stairs for a while due to the pain.. unless I was sleeping in which case i'd run up and down with no probs Stopped sleepwalking about 6 - 7 years ago when I was 13ish. Although the other day I woke up in the morning to find my room door open, which scares me (I can't really sleep unless I'm in pitch darkness so always sleep with the door shut)

    Being Fat in America

I'm also a smoker, but I'm aware of both the health risks and the fact its a turn off and I'm OK with them. This guy seemed to skirt over the actual health risks of being fat. Whilst the actual illnesses are different the situations could be compared (it's mildly suggested that there are genetic links to smoking but not as bad as with fat people) in that it is self inflicted. Another point (to netslob), you can't really get annoyed if people's definition of attractiveness doesn't include how you look. If people find fatness a turn off, they do. They're not being ignorant or anything. Personal taste is hard to master

    Being Fat in America

here's something i need to get off my chest. you may not know it (since none od you have ever met me), but i have something of a nicotine problem, it's something i freely admit. i'm a smoker. the thing about being a smoker in this society is nobody seems to tire of letting you know it. as if all of a sudden you'll forget. yeah, i know i'm a smoker, i'm aware of that fact whenever i go into coughing fits...hell, everytime I breath. i know that, no need to remind me, asshole. and just for clarification: Who the fuck are you to judge me? cause you don't smoke? that gives you the right to fuck with me? no it doesn't. smokers get treated like shit in this country, and i for one am fucking sick of it. who the fuck are you cocksuckers to tell me the way i live my life is wrong? or any smoker? they treat smoking like it's fucking crime against nature. and don't give me that "it's not healthy" shit, either. my health means nothing to you. the media is infamous for this. like when some tabloid does a story about Kirstie Alley being seen with a cigarette. Including extreme close-ups of her inhaling from the but. or when Howard Stern notices a cigarette dripping from the fingers of Britney Spears and declares "Oh, she's disgusting, i wouldn't fuck her with YOUR dick, Robin". or when a wrestling messageboard posters declare that smoking is an automatic turn off, or that they wouldn't fuck so and so (famous) because they're a smoker i've been actively trying to quit since December, and for the most part, it's been working. i've got a long way to go, but i'm down to 10 a day which i haven't been since high school, and all my "cigarette clothes" now smell less. why am i doing it, you ask? well, it's not because of peer pressure. my peers gave up on me long ago. it's not to impress some cunt who can't look at me unless I'm not inhaling from burning leaves. it's not because it's the trend, what everyone else is doing. it's for MY piece of mind. ME. no one else. cause i want to be able to BUY things (like clothes) and I don't have the money, and just BUY them. not worry if i'll have to smoke less , or the joke is wearing thin and this paragraph is too hard to convert so, in essence, people NEED to stop concerning themselves with shit that is NONE OF THEIR FUCKING BUSINESS. this is MY body. you can't look at it, close your fucking eyes. trust me, i'll do the same. alot of non smokers ain't all their cracked up to be either. especially when you can see them collapsing by trying not to breath in any smoke, especially on streets Now I'm not just be facetious - there are parallels between the (really exagurated) ignorance of my version and the points you are missing in yours - work em out. EDIT: Gah, I should have known that whilst I was carefully editing your post someone would go and make exactly the same point as me

Shaun of the Dead & Undead

I'd imagine Shaun of the Dead will be released here in roughly 2-3 months. BUt thats a guess. It's be an awesome DVD hopefully given that the Spaced (TV series from same-ish guys) DVDs were packed full of extra stuff. The film is superb BTW. It'll be interesting to see how much translates because some of the humour is homage/parody and some is just british humour.

Questions on a few indy workers

I just watched this match and thought of the comment in this thread. And it was probably the most impressive Joker match I've seen in terms of showing that he can work a solid, well thought out and interesting match without the use of props or big bumps. Whilst it was by no means a match that deserves heaps of praise it's been almost entirely overlooked and was a very well thought out match with Joker playing the dominant striker working over Rave's ribs (which until the final 1/6th of the match was done consistently - almost every move targetting that area) whilst Rave tried to use his tech skills to come back. Some of the strikes were fairly nasty but it was a real good match with Joker not relying on headdrops/bumps/anything else to produce an enjoyable match.

    Scott Keith moves to Saskatoon

Reshad, methinks your new angle in your everlasting quest to create a classic quest has failed. Rather than create a Coward and Wilde inspired thread full of witticisms galore at the arch-wrestling-nerd's expense you've created a thread which is dying very quickly and thus have had to fall back on your 'strangely homo' gimmick to create any reaction. On the other hand you may seriously believe people care and nothing you've said was intended sarcastically or to bait other posters. I don't know which option is worse.

    Questions for Canadians

Haven't planned anywhere exact to go yet, flying into Vancouver and out of Halifax and I've got 3 weeks to get from one to the other. I was definately planning to go to Banff anyway, extra drug prospects make it sound more fun So the setup is basically that you buy from dealers but it's OK to smoke in some coffee shops? And thanks for all the help guys, much appreciated.

    Questions for Canadians

Hello all. I will be spending 3 weeks in your country next month and I've heard various stories about the legality/illegality of cannabis in Canada. Haven't been able to find any specific information myself so I thought i'd see if I can get the information straight from people who'd definately know (residents ). So, whats the deal? I've heard of amsterdam style coffee shops except you can't buy anything there and you have to stay inside special rooms until 4.20 (or when the health police get off work). That sounds weird and confuses me. Can you recommend nice coffee shops (if they do exist)? I'll be hitting a large portion of the major cities (Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Montreal, Edmonton). Basically any general information on the subject would be much appreciated. When I went to Amsterdam I noticed there was various 'politeness' and niceties about the subject and to avoid appearing like an ignorant tourist I thought best to get clued up before hand.

    Stoned!

It's funny. I've noticed that whenever I get stoned / drunk I don't really make posts in the 'stereotypical' drunk / stoned style. Oh and you've really gone up a notch in everyone's respect-o-meter. Being stoned, wow.

Is it true that Europeans hate Americans?

Just don't act like the american stereotype; Be interested in their culture and what the region has to offer (i.e not insisting on burgers at every point) and just don't be loud and abrasive. It's the stereotype the europeans dislike (and a slight general dislike due to the americanisation of their culture), avoid that and you'll avoid hassle. Theres no need to act 'like' the europeans. Just don't be annoying and bear in mind there will be things they find annoying that aren't noticed in the US.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Just saw it (again, just out in the UK) and really really enjoyed it (and for once it was a film where everyone I went with liked it - normally theres much debating). Spoilerage (although given the amount on this page you'd have to be a fool to still be reading and trying not to be spoilt) Happy ending, definately (well in my opinion ). Whilst it was sad that he lost the memories I felt that the idea (as others have expressed) that the persons feelings couldn't be wiped. And nor could the changes that Clementine had on him and the realisations he made whilst in his mind about the relationship. I got the impression that we were supposed to think that had it happened without the relationship before hand then Joel probably would have walked away early on. I thought the whispering thing was suggesting that there was some form of important connection between the two (the whole meant to be together cliche). I read a theory that they perhaps may have been subconciously sharing the memory wipe process (although it takes the film in an odd direction) which was kinda fun. So jeah, thought it was quite an upbeat 'overcoming a relationship crisis' film with a completely original idea and take behind it.

    CZW shows this weekend

It was Chris Hero, not BJ Whitmer in that 4 way. The match was apparently a 'six star match' according to Hero's post match promo Hopefully this will be a wakeup call for CZW. They're still putting on good shows but they need to promote 'em better. They only seem to promote in spurts, then they stop again.

    Top 20 wrestling promotions

I'm guessing several people missed the point of the thread and thats why the average = weird. Some people have done preference. Some people have done drawing. Some people have done significance (e.g IWAMS draws a low blip in terms of drawing but influences lots of indies in how they make new stars) And some guys are just a weird mix (e.g I'm guess SoCal-guy left out CZW due to dislike - but then put LuchaVaVoom 3rd because they draw well)

    TSM reviewers

Theres criticism and anal criticsm. 'I don't think Kevin Spacey showed the right emotion 12 minutes into the Usual Suspects - he looks up and it should have been more a look of fear/sadness rather than just fear" "You didn't grab my crotch into the 7th minute of this lovemaking, thats absurd"

    TSM reviewers

Read Laz's TNA reports to keep updated on whats going on there. Read the shoot interviews if they concern someone I'd be interested in seeing (not being too much of an old school fan recent ones like the Garvin aren't too interesting). I'll read pretty much any indy reviews (PCN normally do these but a couple of others have cropped up). Read the new Coey review because I thought he may have been asked to do new reviews because he'd improved. His reviews still make me dislike wrestling and also wonder how someone can be so anal and picky about something which is simply an entertainment form.

    Any more site columns

Used to do it on the UKFF (left after getting outed), dunno if he's done it elsewhere (cross posting may not have been the word I was looking for). Recently seen various columns from over the net including various SmartMarks columns (and in fact pasting Kinetics 'make contentious statements' thread word for word as his own new idea). It's not a massive deal, he normally gets called on it. I just found it funny that he's posting here asking for more columns.

    Any more site columns

Because Mr. Death here just loves to take the best opinion based columns from this site and cross post them on message boards (accidentally forgetting to point out that he didn't write it). DVD reports and TNA reviews don't quite have the same rip-off potential. I particulally liked his tribute to Nick Mondo, it was very personal and well written. The addition of a tape review on the end was a nice plus.

    The Matrix Films

Mole had it all correct up until the Fight Club comment, I really didn't like the 2nd and 3rd ones. The story isn't hard to understand at all. It's just the layers and layers of philosiphical bullshit ('what is love') that have been tacked on to the film to make it seem clever and intelligent. The 1st had a nice concept and was executed well, the other two were pap with pretty action sequences.
