I'd be really interested in learning about the Phillies trades that did not happen thus far. I mean, the "prospects" offered must have been Little Leaguers for Gillick to have turned them down.

I'm sure the crowd will give the show a hard time, but I think most people who cared about ECW already gave up.

Falcons WR Brian Finneran is done for the year

Source: http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/5829932 According to this report, the Phillies will get two more minor league players.

Abreu is in the dugout saying goodbye to everyone Also, Utley's hitting streak is at 30.
-
It's a done deal
-
What do you think the chances are of Utley's hitting streak existing beyond tomorrow's double header?
-
Utley's hitting streak extended to 29 games and Howard hits home run number 34.

Phils are all over Willis in the 3rd inning.

He was drunk and said stupid stuff, who cares?

Haloti Ngata just signed for five years. Perhaps the team should compromise and give him the five year deal with an option for a sixth.

There goes another guy the Yankees were interested in.

Comcast just aired an interview with Bell after the game. Interesting how cameras are allowed in the locker room taping Bell saying goodbye to Rollins and other players.

I doubt even the Phillies would take the backlash from placing a .150 hitter in the lineup, or at least I hope. Chris Coste played well at third base last year for Scranton, and I think he can hold down the job. What's convenient here is that this move also frees up a spot on the 40 man roster for Randy Wolf. This is a really good point. The trade makes Charlie's job a little easier. The roster spot for Wolf is created. As far as I'm concerned, I hope this is just the beginning. Al: What do you think about the pitcher that was acquired?

I wish the Phillies would just blow up their team like the Marlins did. There are only a handful of Phillies players that I'd refuse to trade (Utley, Howard), but I'd listen to offers for nearly everyone.

I think the rush is that Lee rejected their contract extention proposal.
-
Interestingly, the Eagles and Bunkley aren't apart on money but rather the length of the deal. Eagles want a six-year deal and Bunkley/his agent want five. Are the other draft picks getting five or six year deals?
-
I don't think the Brewers got ripped off at all. I think they got a good package for a guy who just turned down a contract extention offer.

The Phillies: 1) Who should be traded before the deadline? 2) Who is likely to be gone in the offseason?
