Who is the defining artist of this generation?

I'll throw a few names out for discussion: - One artist, whose legacy seems to be growing each day, is Dimebag Darrell. It's unfortunate that he had to die, but it certainly is helping his status as it did for others before him. - Korn and Green Day. I lump them both together because they have certainly influenced a lot of other bands to basically copy them. - Dr. Dre. His resume is quite impressive having worked with NWA, Snoop, etc. What would Eminem's career have been if Dre was not a part of it? - Boy bands. I know, they suck. But the post-grunge era resulted in all of these groups. Granted, they'll be laughed at in the future. I'd also include pop singers of the American Idol genre to be included in this.

Who is the defining artist of this generation?

I don't mean to start a flame war here, but how exactly is Slipknot even mentioned in this discussion?

Who is the defining artist of this generation?

How can there be any defining artist or anything of this generation? Everything from the entertainment industry to automotive manufacturers to pop cultural in general revolves around remixes, remakes, and anything retro. This generation will be known for a lack of originality and nostalgia.

    2006 NFL Off-Season

Am I the only one who is sick of hearing about Bush's jersey number? He should be excited about playing professional football and put the jersey issue to rest. His jersey will sell regardless of the number.

    2006 NFL Off-Season

Any updated word on the status of Ashley Lelie? I've heard that the usual suspects (Philly, Chiefs, San Fran) were interested but I'm not sure what it would take to move him.

    Career Milestones

As far as career milestones, the obvious names have been listed but there's always the chance that someone can have a long career (like Palmiero) and manage to put up numbers.

ECW gets a normal time slot

So, are the ECW performers exclusive to this program or will people jump ship for the hell of it?

ECW gets a normal time slot

Now all they need is to work on a reasonable taping schedule.

    ECW ONSII and Vengeance spoiler

I like the idea of an ECW ref counting the 3 after a WWE ref bump. ONSII could end with RVD holding up the title with ECW guys celebrating. Kind of like the end of WM10 with Bret Hart. Then, the following night on RAW RVD brings out the ECW guys for a celebration, only to be interrupted by Vince who strips him of the title in front of RVD's peers. The rest can write itself.

Im going to need some advice..

I gotta defend Marvin here. Everyone on here says he's too desperate and yet they want him to go running to this girl. Secondly, her picture isn't exactly overwhelming; a blurry face shot conveniently leaving out the rest of her body? If she understands that you actually have responsibilities then perhaps things can be rescheduled. I would be somewhat cautious since this invitation came out of nowhere with little build up. A part of being able to get chicks is the abillity to stick to your guns and not drop your entire life for them.
