I would be pleased if Christian got the title before Edge.

How about this for Devil's Advocate: NFL owners don't fulfill their end of a contract. I'm sure it's somewhere in the agreement, but they sign a guy to a deal and then release him whenever they like. If Ricky Williams breached his contract by retiring, then how is a player being asked to restructure his deal, then fired, not a breach as well? I'm not as familiar with collective bargaining and all that stuff, but I'm willing to play along with Devil's Advocate here. A player like TO is bad because he wants a deal that guarantees him a salary and yet a team can simply cut someone for seemingly any reason. What about Quincy Carter? He was fired for failing a drug test, but I've read somewhere that you can't be let go for that reason. So, they said it was due to lack of production or something along those lines. Like I said, I don't believe this stuff to be true. I'm just presenting some opposing views.

Maybe it's a part of evolution. People still feel the need to mark their territory or something.

Thanks for the new wallpaper

I think the show will get plenty of buys and attract a lot of interest. Whether it's actually entertaining or not is a whole other issue.

Roddy Piper - Yes, he is right: people paid to see Hogan beat him. He set a standard for mic skills and he could have been a great champion. Paul Orndorff - No, he had a nice run with Hogan but I didn't see any championship appeal. He was a good challenger, but that's all. Bam-Bam Bigelow - No, I've enjoyed his work but I don't think he would have been a good champion. A solid mid-carder who worked hard, but in the end, nope. Ted DiBiase - Yes, he should have. No doubt to me whatsoever. He MADE the Million Dollar Man gimmick. He got great crowd heat and should have won it. Rick Rude - Yes, when he cut his hair to become a more serious contender for Warrior's title in the cage I thought that was a good move. Mr Perfect - Yes, but he had the problem of making everyone else look good. Razor Ramon - No, good mid-carder but the gimmick was too cheesy. Scott Hall, when motivated, was a fine in-ring competitor. Giving him the IC title all those times was good enough. Lex Luger - No, he wasn't the next Hulk Hogan, was boring in the ring, and I have no problem with the way things actually happened. Why not put the title on the Patriot? Same problems. British Bulldog - No, unfortunately. He was well-built, but too injury-prone and, like Razor, I think the IC title was good enough for him. Owen Hart - Yes, when he returned and pushed HBK into the annoucer's table they missed the boat on pushing him to the main event scene. What could have been. Vader - Yes, he was a monster. He could work and he seemed to be groomed for the spot. Ken Shamrock - No, not enough depth to the character. Rob Van Dam - Yes, another no-brainer. He could do no wrong and was insanely over. I'm amazed it didn't happen. Booker T - No, perhaps surprising, but I think his career has been on the fall since WCW folded. Edge - No, he's handling himself well at the moment but I get the feeling that anyone could be plugged into the "I'm sick of being screwed and want a title shot" gimmick.

Please enlighten me on what was wrong with Franchise mode in 2005? - Development of rookies. Either they play ASAP or they don't develop. - Extremely easy to rip off the computer in trades. - Can't make coaching changes until the end of the seaon. - Storylines need work. Same newspaper articles, just different names. Lacks variety. Repetitive. - Players constantly complain even though they get plenty of playing time. For example: RB's like Correll Buckhalter will demand to start, even though I use him on 3rd downs and in the second half when the score is in my favor. He racks up the yardage and the stats. Granted, real life players will do this, but not every one of them. Morale needs fine-tuning. Someone like Marshall Faulk doesn't whine in real life about backing up a younger RB. In the game, they all demand to start or be traded. - Placing a player on IR is a problem. The player's spot is not vacated. You have to cut someone in order to sign a replacement player. Should this problem be fixed, they'll have to take into account that you could put people on IR just to keep them around. - Can't start a franchise with a created team.

Being qualified is one thing. But, being willing to put up with all the bullshit that comes along with the job is another.

Ya know, seeing JR on RAW for all this time, it's almost hard to remember his NWA/WCW ties.

Bret Hart and/or Randy Savage in the Hall of Fame. Other than that, I wouldn't be surprised to see Hogan vs. Austin.

Cena is annoying.

I wonder what matches were on the tapes.

Oh, I agree. I loved creating characters in No Mercy. My favorite was to take a character like the Undertaker and use some of his alternate outfits to make a decent looking Kevin Nash or Diesel. My friends and I would play Royal Rumble mode and someone would be like "I didn't know Diesel was in this game!" I did that for almost every character in the game.

For anyone who has seen Be Cool, does anyone relate to the little speech Cedric the Entertainer gives near the end of the movie?

I can appreciate Storm being honest with them. If Holly and JBL don't like it, then maybe they shouldn't do this stupid crap in the first place. Sadly, knowing WWE's backward policy on this kinda stuff, I'd say Storm screwed Storm.

Well, I suppose it would be up to the developers to decide how extensive the updates would be. It could be simple like outfits and different finishing moves or more applied like removing characters that were released and replaced by new characters.

Interesting, but if only they'd improve the Franchise Mode.

The Wizard starring Fred Savage.

Ya know what these wrestling games need? The ability to download updated rosters.

I disagree. I think she's the absolute worst person to be having a child, because she not even truly mature enough to be able to make rationale decisions for herself, let alone an infant, and because she's more in love with the concept of being a mother than actually being serious about the job. To her, a child is a novelty. I'm not disagreeing with this at all. I'd just like to say that there is an entire generation who behaves like this. Having a kid is just another part of the checklist of things that you need to have in order to be a teenager.

In this day and age of wrestling, it's hard to justify anyone staying on the top of the main event scene for as long as HHH has. He seemingly never gets sidetracked by a fued that doesn't involve either the world title or HBK. And yet, the first ever Undisputed Champion, who beat Rock and Austin in the same night, is dying to win that IC title yet again. For reasons such as that, I feel no shame in admitting that I was not upset to see that HHH was injured.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Is it bad for me to actually feel good after having read this?
