    Impact Spoilahz for This Thursday

My god...Wow. No it's not silly, the beatings are real, there is no disputing that. In fights on tv shows, they have a lot of takes and can add shit in, not in wrestling you can not compare the two. Come on, I know you're smarter than this. It seems like your arguing just to save face now, because that whole post is kind of silly. That is basically what you said. A man beating a woman is stupid and shouldn't be codoned, especially in something like wrestling. Just because wrestling storylines are fake, doesn't mean the violence is also. It's dumb to compare wrestling to shows like The Shield, Star Trek, or CSI. This is a good decision by Spike TV point blank, that shouldn't even be up for discussion, men beating on women is bad, period. I don't understand why anyone would think different, but hey, like I said I guess I just like women too much.

Yeah actually I do. When I spent time in Cali, that is actually what one of the stunt doubles told me. He actually said he only had 2 jobs that year and was able to buy a house and a hummer. He spenty the rest on weed and clubbing. This came from a actual stuntman's mouth, so I'm sure it's more stories like that from different stunt doubles. Just like I'm sure they get hurt a lot, I'm willing to bet that none of them would trade spots with a wrestler, and fuck up their bodies a few times a week. Yeah, I've seen The Rock say things like that, I'm sure the pain might "hurt a hell of a lot more than people realise". But I'm willing to bet it doesn't hurt more than taking bumps everynight. I don't even think the studio would ask you do half of the things you have to do to work a match. Yeah. So the beatings in wrestling aren't real? Good to know. From one of your very 1st post, you have been calling these women competitors and fighters; Spike TV has let them be portrayed as both. Spike even wanted to give them their own show one time. The women have put on what most people call great matches, they are the cornerstone of the company. It is the only thing that people point to that TNA has done better than WWE. The champ is the most legit champion in the company, and is the best character in the company. The ratings are steady or go up when the Knock Outs are on TV, they have put together the perfect combination of sex appeal and legit athleticism, to make a division that appeals to a plethora of different viewers. They have done this with simple and rational booking, and this is the primarily the most prosperous thing the company has done in years, everything is going excellent for the girls nearly all of them are over. Your response to that is to start letting the men kick their ass. What the fuck?

Because wrestling is different than other programming. It shouldn't even exist, let alone letting men beat up on women. 1;I'm sure it's not happening every week and I'm also sure the studios take care of the women. Being a stunt double a few times a year, it's nothing like being a stunt woman most of the year. I'm sure that men are not beating the shit out of women for real on the Shield and Bond movies. 2: People go in to movies and watch tv shows knowing it's fake and it's not really happening. In wrestling the beatings are real, nobody wants to see a woman get the shit beat out of her by a man for real. I know I don't, I guess I just like women too much. 3; That isn't a fair comparison, wrestling is nothing like Star Trek or CSI. A more accurate comparison would be comparing women boxers vs men boxers, or women MMA fighters vs men MMA fighters. You can't make that comparison, because the people that govern boxing and MMA, are not dumb enough to pair the men and the women. The people watching MMA and Boxing are more likely to be watching wrestling, than people watching CSI or Star Trek. CSI is about criminals based in a real life situation, being caught by a forensic specialist. Star Trek is about some people fighting things from other planets. Wrestling is a fake sport, where people get beat up for real. A man should never be beating up on a woman for real, especially in something that is potrayed as a sport. I can't believe that a company is getting called out because they don't want men beating up women in a fake sport.

They should do as a a few comedy segments and nothing more. Eventually they should break them up and have them feud, but they can get atleast a good year and a half out of a team like that, before they even think about breaking them up. Hell a feud with LAX done properly should go about 6 months itself.

They don't have to be beaten by men to be potrayed as "actual fighters", they've been a hit on the show without the men being involved, so they shouldn't really fuck with the formula by adding men to the mix. That is apples and oranges. Those women on The Shield and The Bond movies aren't taking real beatings, and they're not slicing their forheads with blades to get over some drama in a fake fight.

I guess it because people can accept men beating the shit out of eachother, or even women beating the shit out of eachother, but nobody wants to watch a man beat the shit out of a woman.

Ok, that last segment and Roode laying out LAX with chairs, than handcuffing them and beating them with a belt are the only 2 reasons I see to DVR this show.

    TNA SLAMMIVERSARY 2008

Yes, he was. He debuted last week on ECW as Matt Sydal, against, I believe, Benjamin? And then this week he apparently re-debuted as Evan Bourne without any acknowedgment of such prior name. That was Matt Sydal, "Evan Bourne" didn't debut until last night. I made that post. about 3 hours prior to the show last night. The point I was making was that we didn't know if WWE would explain why they changed his name, and they didn't. CD was going off spoilers and just assumed they didn't explain why they changed Sydall's name, at the time we didn't know if they explained it or not.

They also might give him a push for helping train Mayweather.

Team name: The Freak Show? Also...Tag finishers...they seem kinda optional. Don't think that the Outlaws had a tag finisher, IIRC. Though I do like when they do them. *Favorite is still TOTAL ELIMINATION! The Outlaws used a double team Hotshot and a Spike Piledriver for a while. Bobby Rood trying to mold James Storm in his image and show him the finer ways of life could lead to some hilarious promos and skits. Yes it would, or Storm trying to toughen Bobby up by making him drink beer and forcing him to get in bar brawls.

Why are they awesome? Because they are two midcard heels? They have nothing in common, other than that they are both heels. It's pointless. You know who should be fueding with LAX? A proper tag team. No because they have entertained me in the past, when TNA threw them together for no reason. They played well off eachother during promo's at the time, their gimmicks being nothing a like is what entertained me the most. Bobby would be reading the Wall Street Journal, and trying to explain it to Storm who was to busy getting drunk to give a damn, and was just laughing at Roode. It was fantastic and it is something I wouldn't mind seeing again.

well there's your problem No it's not a problem at all, I'm not a big fan of women's wrestling, again it's simple...Not a probem.

    Impact Spoilers for 6/5/08

I don't like too see women bleeding from their head. I don't care about a man bleeding from his head. It's pretty simple. I don't even like women's wrestling that much, I accept it, but if they stopped doing it and just made them valets I'd be for it.

Roode and Storm as a alliance is awesome. Roode and Storm vs LAX could be a awesome feud. The KOTM match did nothing to elevate Roode.

Sting has been in the last 2 title matches at BFG, it'd be a mistake to go that route again. I think if they do a "Flair retirement" angle with Sting, the only guy who can play HBK in the company is Christian, maybe Angle. But they've already did Angle/Sting at BFG, so that wouldn't work. Plus, I'm sure they'll find away to make Angle/JJ the co mainevent to Styles/Joe this year.

    TNA SLAMMIVERSARY 2008

Nah, they'll have a match on Impact in a week or two. Don't give them any ideas. I might have read to much in to it, but it seems like they are building to that showdown.

    TNA SLAMMIVERSARY 2008

I guess it's a safe bet too say that tonight started the road to BFG, which will lead to Styles/Joe for the title.

    TNA SLAMMIVERSARY 2008

Yeah, I guess I could see that. I honestly didn't know the champ hadn't never won KOTM. Who was champ when Jarrett won it, and the place almost rioted?
  22. The Truthiness

    TNA SLAMMIVERSARY 2008

You honestly thought Joe came out looking the best in that match?
  23. The Truthiness

    TNA SLAMMIVERSARY 2008

This is why they shouldn't have had the X guys do all the cool shit on impact. Watching that match and this match, I'm sure most would agree the Impact KOTM was miles better. This show was better than I expected, wish Storm had a spot on the card, but hey. I liked the Angle/Styles match, more than anything on the ppv tonight, I think Styles came out looking awesome, Kurt was good too, not a MOTYC but still a cool match.
