Joe wins, with the muscle buster. Frank Trigg was awesome, compared to Tenay and West anyway.
-
That was a brilliant rope break.
-
Benoit has came back in the form of Samoa Joe.
-
Here we go with the million reversals to the ankle lock.
-
Why does he keep breaking them up? It's a fucking cage match.
-
This is a MMA match? lol
-
Kurt in MMA gear is hilarious.
-
Frank Triggs in 3 minutes is already better than Tenay and West.
-
No not really, I don't see the big deal either.
-
Well that saved the card, if this match delivers (which I doubt) this would be a good 30 bucks spent.
-
If Sting turned heel, that would be the one of the best things ever.
-
Oops, well there goes my heel turn.
-
The best damn prospect in the company, James Storm.
-
Especially, when you know the last face is going to pull a heel turn.
-
Good spot.
-
Ha, that was great.

This is clearly a 2 match show, there were no kind of hate in the Roode/Page vs Booker/Sharmell match or the BG/Kip match, after the booking lead you to think otherwise. Both of the matches ended with cheap roll ups.
-
That was the only point you were making, you clearly stated that they said he knew nothing about westling. They never said that, the storyline they tried to get across was did Festus have the mental state to understand what he was stepping in to the ring with, in the Undertaker. They clearly stated that he could make his career in the match, and become a main eventer. They never once said Festus knew nothing about wrestling, and it was never the story they tried to put over.
-
You're really reaching. They've never made it known that he knows nothing about wrestling, if he didn't know about wrestling, he wouldn't go for pins. The commentators put over 2 scenarios, one was did Festus know how to tap out? Or Did Festus not care about tapping out, and just kept fighting until he eventually passed out? Once the bell rings nothing will stop Festus until he hears it again, but he does know the basic fundamentals of wrestling. He knows to stand on the apron until he gets the tag when he's teaming with Jesse. He knows to go for pins when he thinks an opponent is finished. He knows to tag Jesse before he picks him (Jesse) up and launches him in to a guy, to finish a match. He knows to put his foot on the rope when somebody is pinning him. But he won't quit when he's put in a submission hold, because he never heard the second bell ring, and until he hears it he is an out of control competitor. This shouldn't be really be that hard to understand.
-
That isn't the storyline they're trying to get across. From to the get go, Jesse let us know that Festus turns in to a vicious competitor once the bell rings. They never said he didn't know anything about wrestling, if he didn't know about westling he wouldn't even go for pins. Hell John Cena is his "favorite wrestler". Festus and Jesse are loosely based off the book "Of Mice and Men". Like I said, it seems like you were just looking for somegthing to nit pick in that match. It was plenty other things that you could've pointed out, other than a damn rope break.
-
This sounds like your just nit picking for the sake of nit picking. Cole cleary put over Festus fo being the 1st guy to not tap to the hold. Complaining about a guy putting his foot on the rope to break a pin, is pretty silly.

MVP trashing Coach is some of the funniest shit ever.

The OAO Impact Thread (4.10.08)
The Truthiness replied to The Ghost of bps21's topic in TNA Wrestling
Not the fans. Buildup has been great, but the match will likely suck. It may be passable if they make it a no-DQ brawl. EDIT: I missed Consequences Creed AGAIN? I somehow missed all his promo vignettes despite watching the show every week, and apparently I missed his match tonight. It's in a cage, I don't think even TNA has a dq clause in cage matches. -
Yeah, but they still went on to have 3 very good years without him (last year was their most profitable). If WWE missed out on what Chistian had to offer. I would have to think TNA found out what Christian could deliver if given a big push. He didn't really deliver much; he's basically the same character now that he was in WWE in 2005. WWE didn't really miss out on much with Christian. There are about 14 people in WWE who are better than Christian, and are getting pushed accordingly. Some already have top spots, some of them are upper mid carders, and will be for life, and some will be pushed to the moon one day. They all can fill the role Christian had with the company and are better workers in my opinion.

What is the best match in TNA history?
The Truthiness replied to Corey_Lazarus's topic in TNA Wrestling
1. What is, in your opinion, the best match that TNA has produced thus far? James Storm vs. Chris Harris Texas death match 2. What makes it better than everything else you've seen from TNA? These 2 were the best thing about TNA and North American Tag teams for awhile as AMW. They constantly put on good matches, and made other tag teams in the company look good. They had tremendous chemistry, and were a perfectly fine "southern Tag team". When they finally broke up, it should've mean big things for both guys. Harris should've gone on to be a top face, Storm should've gone on to be a top heel, but this is TNA the only sure thing about the company. Is they would surely fuck up anything. The angle stated off pretty good. Storm took out Harris with a beer bottle, and fucked up Harris's eye. The rest of the story should've written itself, but again this TNA.Somehow this ended up in to a blindfold match at Lockdown 2007. This was not only a horrible match, it was probably the worse match in the history of TNA, and this is a company that has a reverse battle royal mind you. The match was just plain awful. Than Sacrifice 2007 came around I not only did these 2 erase the blind fold match from the record books. Not only did they steal the show (which wasn't really That hard to do). They put together the best match in the history of TNA (again not hard to do) and in the top of my favorite matches of 2007, these guys just had a awesome match, and it was like they went though their whole history in those 20 minutes, it was just magical on every level. The hate was there, the story telling was there, ever high spot mean something, and every big move had meaning. They use the rules of a Texas death match as perfect as I seen it done. I'd put it up there with anything Lawler/Dundee, or Watts ever did. The match should've been a blow off to a 5 year history of a team, and the start of 2 promising careers. Harris should've gone on to be a top face; Storm should've gone on to be a top heel. The history with TNA was there, they were both over huge, but you know...its TNA 3. How does it stack up against other great matches you've seen from different companies? It's right up there with the best matches of 2007 from every company I've seen, that's including WWE, ROH, NOAH, NJPW, and Chikkara. 4. Does any grouping of workers (not including those in said match) under TNA contract now make yo think that another match of this caliber could be produced anytime soon? Storm is still there. He has what it takes to have another match of that caliber, but I don't think it'll ever happen in TNA again. 5. How would you rate this match on the IWC star scale? The PCN 1-10 factor? 10 easily They also had the 2nd best match in TNA last year on impact a few weeks later.
