    TSM Profile: Christian Cage

I never understood what WWE supposedly missed out on with Christian. He was ok on the mic, acceptable in the ring, and that is all. If WWE missed out huge, that would mean TNA gained something huge, well we all know TNA hasn't really done anything big. Christian was a mid carder in WWE and came to TNA and went straight to the main event, and got a few title runs. Business didn't get any better, buyrates are the same, and the ratings are the same. I've never seen what was so special about Christian.

    Raw vs Smackdown week 1

    Yeah, you picked wong.
  3. This topic was split out from discussion going on in the WWE Folder about the HBK/Hogan match from SummerSlam a couple of years ago. HTQ stated during one of his posts that Hogan was a legend and Shawn Michaels was not. -Dandy Shawn Michaels isn't a legend? What? I don't care for the guy, but to say he isn't a legend is kind of naive.

    Raw vs Smackdown week 1

Chavo by a mile he's an awesome midcarder, can have a lot of range with his character, a very good worker, and is skilled at drawing heat. His reign as ECW Champion was my favorite behind Big Show and Vince. He's the best heel on the ECW brand, with the only exception being Miz/Morrison probably. I like him being in the title picture and being the #2 guy in La Familial. I don't think him or Spanky will ever be a main event caliber player, but if I had to choose between the 2 Chavo would be a pretty easy choice.

Glad you have solid insight into his real reasons for going. Do you also know what colour his bowel movements are? I think that is pretty "solid insight".

    WWE Raw (4/7/2008)

You know I'm not interested in either of the "big 2" title scenes in WWE, eventhough I believe the matches will deliver, the storylines are just fucking stupid. Thank god they have a awesome undercard.

    OAO JR's blogs

It was the agenda he had for going to the funeral, not him attending the services. He was Nancy's friend, but it's obvious he was there to tow the company line. He didn't go just to pay respect too his friend and her child's life.

That is what you said, you only used the "casual fan" defense, when you seen USC and Hawk34 brought it up.

    Announcing Team Discussion

Cole can get a story across and put over a character. Tenay just screams, rambles, and try to make everything sound like it’s the end of the world. I'll take the guy, who doesn't try putting himself over, like Cole. If you like to hear Mike yell about shit that has nothing to do with the match, try (and fail) to be funny, or give out tons of inadequate information, which doesn't get any of the characters over, well "go nutty".

I'd take him over Tenay any day. He's far from bad, especially when compared to Tenay who rambles like retard.

    Announcing Team Discussion

Michael Cole is a good broadcaster. He knows how to put characters over, he knows how to get a story across, and he gives you good back-story of the character when it’s called for. He needs a good color guy, that’s why he had successful runs with Taz and JBL; he knew how to feed them lines. Like asking what wrestle is feeling at certain points in the match, what strategy they should use against a certain opponent. He knows how to convey emotion, when the situation calls for it, and when to shut up when the circumstances calls for it. He can’t really play off Coach, like JBL and Taz, because Coach is not a wrestler, thus making it worthless. He needs a color guy, Coach isn’t that man. Tenay on the other hand is terrible, which is surprising seeing as I use too look forward to his commentating in Lucha matches on WCW back in the day. He use to be vey knowledgeable and put the Lucha’s over huge. Name he’s a screaming moron, and there is really no excuse for it. The guy has worked beside guys like Tony, Bobby, and Zybysko. He should know how to announce a show at the very least decently, I mean Bobby Heenan is his best friend, I’m petty sure he could get some advice from the best color guy ever. DW, I can understand, he came from one of those Shopping networks. So he was trained to be exaggeratedly energized about everything and make the product seem like it is the second coming. He didn’t have a guy to teach him, how to call a show appropriately in TNA, and so he had to follows Mike’s guide, which made for a very deprived broadcast team.

I figured that would be the main event of Backlash anyway. I thought they'd maybe make it a 4 way, but Cena has too finish filming his movie.

It was his college football number. I thought Harris was trying to lose weight for his debut?

The Departures and Arrivals of WWE

I doubt Joe wants to go to WWE, he was offered a release after the Scott Hall/Kevin Nash shoot at Turning Point.

Who Are the Legends of the Wrestling Industry?

Did you miss every Flair promo in the dying days of WCW? Yeah, I remember thinking how random it was when he did it on the last Nitro.
  21. The Truthiness

Who Are the Legends of the Wrestling Industry?

Exactly, which would mean he isn't much of a legend, if I went with "Legends are only guys casual fans know" line of thinking.

Who Are the Legends of the Wrestling Industry?

    I understand that.

Who Are the Legends of the Wrestling Industry?

Bagwell? I just find it kind of humorous, that anybody would say that there is only 5 legends in wrestling, because they were bigger draws than everybody else.

Who Are the Legends of the Wrestling Industry?

Taker could be thrown in the househould name category also, as could Triple H and Cena. That doesn't mean stars like Piper, Lawler, Rhodes, doesn't have a legendary status. They were all household names before aswell, things just change. Wrestling isn't like most pop culture, people stop watching and guys retire. That doesn't mean their contribution should be downplayed, because 3 guys are recognized more than thousands of other performers, to "casual fans".
  25. The Truthiness

Who Are the Legends of the Wrestling Industry?

If we're going off "casual fans", Dusty Rhodes probably isn't a legend either. So that really isn't a stong defense. Dusty is in fact not a legend either. Yes he is. There are more than 3 legends in wrestling, the fact that they aren't bigger than Austin, The Rock, and Hogan doesn't mean they aren't legends. Cena does big business and is known more than a lot of stars from the 80's, that doesn't mean the guys aren't legends.
