WWF Champion The Ultimate Warrior defeated Randy Savage. Hulk Hogan won a 30-man Royal Rumble match. The Ultimate Warrior defeated Jake Roberts by disqualification. The Undertaker defeated WWF Champion Hulk Hogan to win the title after Ric Flair interfered. (This was also Flair debut in the WWF)

The Big Bossman & The Legion of Doom defeated The Mountie & The Natural Disasters in an Elimination match. Hulk Hogan, The Ultimate Warrior, Randy Savage & Sid Justice defeated WWF Champion The Undertaker, Ric Flair, Curt Hennig & Jake Roberts in an Elimination match.

The title was declared vacant the next night because of all the outside interference that took place during the match. The title will be put up for grabs in the 30-man Royal Rumble match at the 1992 Royal Rumble PPV.
