Sorry for posting it a bit early, but I always wanted to be "the first" on one of these things. Anyway, here are the non-spoiler official preview match listings:

 

Undertaker © vs. Kurt Angle - World Title Match

Billy & Chuck © vs. Edge & Hulk Hogan - Tag Team Title Match

Lance Storm vs. Rikishi

Reverend D-Von & Batista vs. Val Venis & Randy Orton

 

I don't read the spoilers, so without knowing what's going to happen, here are my quick thoughts on the matches:

 

Undertaker vs. Kurt Angle - I've never seen the World Title (because really, that sounds so much better than Undisputed) change hands on a Smackdown!, but it seems like they're in another "change Angle from dork to deadly" mood lately, so it won't be a total squash. Should be a pretty good match, and even though I liked RAW's ladder match this should be many times better.

 

B&C vs. Edge & Hulk Hogan - I have nothing against Edge, but in the mark's eyes there is no way in hell B&C will have a chance against Hulk Hogan. Sigh... I hope Hogan doesn't get another championship, even if it's the now-lame tag titles, but what will probably happen is Rico AND Jericho will interfere so that Edge gets pinned.

 

Lance Storm vs. Rikishi - It's Independence Day... of course the conspiracy will be in full force, eh? Look for an awful match with Storm carrying Rikishi (as much as anyone can carry a generic fat wrestler whose gimmick involves sticking his ass in someone's face) with a VERY obvious anti-Storm and thus anti-Canada call.

 

Reverend D-Von & Batista vs. Randy Orton & Val Venis - If Randy Orton jobs on Velocity, do you really think he has a chance in hell on Smackdown!?

 

Yet, even with this preview, there are many mysteries... Does Rey Misterio Jr. finally debut? Will John Cena descend from the rafters and debut his new submission finisher "The Cena Deathlock"? Who will job on Velocity if Randy Orton is on Smackdown? How funny can a re-shot ending edited into a title match be, anyway?

 

These questions and more to be answered... well, now if you read the spoilers, but TONIGHT on Smackdown!

it's not even thursday yet dude. anyway i might as well give my two cents. the card looks good. i am looking forward to the angle/undertaker match, especially the ending.

 

we also get to see deacon batista in action again which i am looking forward to.

And yea, I'm aware that it's not Thursday for 10 more minutes, but like I said, I always wanted to be first with one of these things... besides, on the East Coast it's been Thursday, and if there's one thing I've learned in all my years of watching TV on the West Coast, it's that the world revolves around the East Coast... how else would it be that awards shows and sporting events taped live in L.A. are still shown to us on tape delay? Argh!

Actually, the 'Asshole Scale' comes from Kinetic's Asshole Thread.... um.... yeah...

 

ANYHOW, it didn't spawn off of wrestling, but I'm sure Kinetic wouldn't be offended if we did a spinoff of it using wrestlers, managers, bookers, etc.

I get the satellite feed and I just saw the first hour (problems with the second hour apparently, as it hasn't been on yet) but Hogan comes out with an American Flag, red/white/blue feather boas, and Real American blaring. The crowd was absolutely eating it up too..I found it funny that Hogan gave Edge the American flag...

Speaking of that, I went into one of those discount stores (where you can buy shit for like a dollar), and I saw a WCW Bret Hart shirt with the American Flag in back of him. I shit you not.

I was at the SD tapings and Hogan's ovation was the loudest I have ever heard. It was the original Real American and the fans just went insane.
