Guest goodhelmet Posted February 18, 2002 Report Posted February 18, 2002 "Well, most people here seem to think they will actually go with Jericho/Angle...." I don't think they'll go with Jericho/Angle, I just hope they do. They will probably have the same convoluted four way crap that dragged down the WM2000 Main
Guest J*ingus Posted February 18, 2002 Report Posted February 18, 2002 By gawd, what's the matter with a good ol' plain simple HHH vs. Jericho main event? (Don't even, bps21!)
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted February 18, 2002 Report Posted February 18, 2002 Would Jericho be a face if they did Angle-Jericho?
Guest goodhelmet Posted February 18, 2002 Report Posted February 18, 2002 It depends how they approach it. they could do the canadien vs. us crap (an old storyline) and he'd be cheered. They could do an abrupt turn with him getting jumped by the NWO (who held him down in WCW) or just do a good old title match with the ring work winning the crowd over. I think a turn by either guy would be nonsensical at this stage but it probably won't matter anyway. If you see the Angle/Trips rematch tomorrow on RAW this conversation is done cos Angle will be firmly in the midcard come Mania.
Guest RicFlairGlory Posted February 18, 2002 Report Posted February 18, 2002 Jericho wouldnt be a face, but since Wrestlemania is in Canada, he'd get face pops there during the show, which would of course confuse the fuck out of everybody
Guest Tony149 Posted February 18, 2002 Report Posted February 18, 2002 Jericho getting cheered in Canada wouldn't "confuse the fuck out of everybody". All JR needs to say is Jericho is Canadian. Then Lawler can say "Everythings backwards in Canada."
Guest Brian Posted February 18, 2002 Report Posted February 18, 2002 Ass backwards. It has to be ass backwards. Well, for all the conspiracy theorists, they figured out how to make Jericho win without having HHH job.
Guest dreamer420 Posted February 18, 2002 Report Posted February 18, 2002 -nWo Segment: I liked it. Obviously they were bullshitting the whole time but Hall, Hogan, and Nash got a nice reception and the interview was good I thought. I liked when Hall said that he wanted to drink some beer with some of the guys in the back and Lawler replied "No, Not You!" -Tag Team Turmoil: I thought Billy & Chuck would be going over but I was wrong. Now we get to see the APA in Title Shot #48567498674. Ohh well. Would have been better for Storm/Christian, or even the Hardy's to go over. The clothesline from hell on Billy was an awesome looking move though. -Van Dam vs. Goldust: I liked this match actually. Goldust put in some good offence against RVD, and I was surprised that RVD went over in this one. Even Lawler and Ross seemed impressed with the match. I'm betting on a Wrestlemania rematch. -nWo-Austin: I liked it again. -Booker and Crap vs. Tazz and Spike: Match killed the crowd. The right team went over though and I hope they keep the titles till Wrestlemania. Pefect @ WWFNY: He looked and sounded drunk. -Edge Vs Regal: Sucked. The ending was very obvious and Regal and Edge don't work well enough together. Hopefully they are done working together. -Taker vs. Rock: Not bad either. Taker and Rock sold for each other through the match and this was the best match I have seen them have. -Angle vs. HHH: Good match. Lots of overbooking with Stephanie and the refs involved. The right guy won the match and is going to Wrestlemania. -Angle leaving: Why no shower? -nWo/Rock: Good setup for a feud. Looks like he'll be fighting Hogan. -Austin vs. Jericho: Not as good as it should have been. Still the match was solid and with Hall delivering two stunners to Austin it looks like that is how he'll be feuding with. Overall I liked the PPV. Only Edge and Regal stunk it up and the rest of the matches were solid enough for me.
Guest Tony149 Posted February 18, 2002 Report Posted February 18, 2002 I also thought Mr. Perfect looked drunk. I got a good laugh out of Angle saying "I'm going to WrestleMania!"
Guest dreamer420 Posted February 18, 2002 Report Posted February 18, 2002 Hall looked a little bit wrecked as well.
Guest Tony149 Posted February 18, 2002 Report Posted February 18, 2002 Hall isn't surprising. But Mr. Perfect sure was. He's supposed to be perfect.
Guest Anglesault Posted February 18, 2002 Report Posted February 18, 2002 Nah, Hall wasn't drunk. I don't think they would have done the joke if he was. He was really fat though.
