Some more questions...

I was just wondering when Lex Luger was signed to Titan Sports he was put into the ill-fated WBF. However, did Vince McMahon just bring in Lex Luger to bring some more publicity to the WBF and just use him as a bodybuilder or did he always intend to use him as a in ring wrestler? Also can anyone tell me the names of the officals who run out during andd after the Ric Flair/Randy Savage WWF Championship match at Wrestlemania VIII. I know that Shane McMahon, Tony Garear (sp?) and the Hebner brothers are out there but who are the rest?

Luger was signed as a WBF "superstar" to put a big wrestling name on the roster so that it wouldn't totally and utterly fail. (Ha!) The reason he wasn't signed as a WWF wrestler at that point was because he was still under contract to WCW. He had just finished his lone remaining date he had to work at Superbrawl II (that's how some WCW contracts work. See Sting in late 96) but he was still technically contracted to Turner as a wrestler, so Vince signed him to a WBF deal to skirt around that. Then, Luger fell off his bike, the WBF went under, and we had to wait until 1993 to see Lex again after his WCW deal was up.

The mystery officials IIRC (as I haven't seen the tape in years and I ain't about to fish for it now) are Rene Goulet (guy with the crazy hair) and Billy Red Lyons (Canadian TV legend. "Don'tcha dare miss it!" Old guy with the glasses.)

My first post and I'm already helpful!
