I don't know where any of you would rate this, but I think any list of N.A. tag team matches has to include Hart Foundation/Brainbusters from Summerslam '89. Rougeuas/Bulldogs from Summerslam '88 was pretty good, too.

Wow, dreamer420. I agree with a lot of your list, so I decided to do mine. My rules, are no six mans, eight mans, ten mans, Survivor Series, TLC, whatever. To paraphrase The Rock, just "two on... TWO." Bear in mind also that these are just matches I have on tape. Even then, if I have a badly clipped version (Rockers vs Somers/Rose Bloodbath, Midnights vs Flair/Windham from Clash IV, La Parka/Psychosis vs Mysterio/Konnan ECW 11/95) I left it off too, because it's not fair to include matches based on snippets. Also, I haven't seen everything (Steiners vs Sting/Luger the most notable) and some stuff I saw when it aired but don't have it on tape (Steiners vs Gordy/Williams from Clash 19). Cage matches and streetfights and whatever stips are a-OK, so long as they're str8 up tags and not str8 up strawberries. OK, let's go. Also, I pussied out and picked 75, just because.

I would suggest looking for it on a Hotline server or KaZaa... but it might be best to find the tape.

Steiners vs. Bret & Owen is great stuff. I wish we could've seen more of that, maybe even a three way with the Quebecers or a four-way also including Marty & The Kid.

Great lists everybody, I'm glad somebody took up my suggestion and put together a pretty comprehensive list of great (American) tag matches. There sure are an absolute ton of matches I need to somehow get and see, many i'll never get the chance to view but I'm going to do my best to see as many as I possibly can.

 

I certainly couldn't have put together a list to rival the ones you have put together so thanks for taking the time, I know it takes ages to put together big detailed posts like those.

 

Maybe some big puro fan could put together a list of the best tag matches from Japan? It would make a nice companion piece and outside of the most famous AJPW tags from the 90's onwards I have seen little else really (ordering tapes can be expensive!).
