Its actually pretty accurate, except that the Kaufman Lawler match was hollywoodized (The MidSouth Colliseum was about 3/4 full, no pyro and the crowd was pretty much not into it) The people of Memphis didnt really like that man from Hollywood. And Kaufman got into wrestling by going to a WWWF (?) show at MSG in 1974 or so, as opposed to him watching it on TV in the movie, although he probably watched it after going to MSG..
