Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted August 24, 2002 Marvin, I don't know much about Andy Kaufman apart from the movie "Man on the Moon". Does that movie tell his story accurately? Its actually pretty accurate, except that the Kaufman Lawler match was hollywoodized (The MidSouth Colliseum was about 3/4 full, no pyro and the crowd was pretty much not into it) The people of Memphis didnt really like that man from Hollywood. And Kaufman got into wrestling by going to a WWWF (?) show at MSG in 1974 or so, as opposed to him watching it on TV in the movie, although he probably watched it after going to MSG.. huzah!
