My mission to 1000

Well, looks like I won't have to worry about that punch in the face, eh?

Actually, I've been trying to write a column instead of p05t wh0r3 today... you should try it some time Danny ;)

Hey! Ix-nay on the anny-Day. I don't want my legions of adoring board fans to know that I have a somewhat feminine first name.

I already new that Danny.

You should change your name to the uber-masculin "Tim". The chicks dig it.

Oh, and I'm both incredibly busy and devoid of real ideas. I refuse to subject the Smart Mark readers to subpar columns, nor do I want to sully my good name here by posting the godawful review of Simon and Garfunkel's Bookends that's tortured me for the last few days.

If I was going to change it to anything, I'd change it to either Daniel or Dan. Daniel is sort of ghey, quite frankly, and I don't think three letters constitutes a name. So Danny it is.

How is D**** a feminine name? Anyway, I'll respect that and not make that mistake in the future.

And if you're all out of ideas, why not have your sister write another column?

I kind of have the same problem with my name. If I were to go by Timothy, it's also kind of ghey, and Timmy just doesn't cut it when you pass 5 years old. I like Tim, however, as it almost matches my initials "TJM".

If the fact that I'm actually laughing out loud at the mere mention of the name is any indication, you're probably right on about that Timmy thing.

Yea, in recent years I've started using "Ed" when I'm too slackerish to say "Edward". It's funny because I used to hate when people called me anything less than "Edward". Ahh... but I suppose a princely and kingly name such as that will ALWAYS be OK, in all its forms. Ummm... yea...

14th highest poster baby! Yet, still with less "posts per day" than MarioLogan and he's been gone for weeks ;)

Yeah, you really can't respect anyone who calls themselves "Timmy".

My sister is illiterate. Probably. I was channeling her spirit on that review, though, and that sort of telepathy only occurs once in a blue moon.

I've never met anyone beyond the toddler stage who went by Timmy, I don't think. There's no explaining why I had that burst of laughter at "Timmy," but I did.

Note to self: Timmy=Funny

Ted is short for Theodore, I believe. That wouldn't work. Unless it's one of those Richard-Dick things that don't make any sense.

I had people stop calling me that during Kindergarten. I went from Timmy, to Timothy, to just Tim all within the space of that school year.

Yeah, my dad goes by Ted, but his full name is Edward.

My guitar teacher's name is Edward too, but he goes by Ned. I've never heard of Ted for Edward before, but [insert dumb Canada joke here]!

I'm just so accustomed to being called Danny that I don't respond to anything else. Although--and this should give some indication of the scars my childhood has left--I still think people are addressing me whenever I hear the name "Slugger." But I can't very well change my name to Slugger, I guess.

I don't know if you watch a lot of South Park, but probably the popularity of the retarded "TIMMY!" character has something to do with it, even though I don't find making fun of the mentally retarded funny at all. So the guy can only say his own name... so can Pokemon, and yet that's not HILARIOUS~!

I think Timmy's faking it.

like a particular person who changed is name to Ultimate Warrior

Imagine how the IRS must look when they see his name every year, they probably audit him out of fraud

IRS: Hello Mr. ....Warrior we ave some questions about your name

Warrior: (babbles for 20 min)

IRS: No of course I don't question your intellectuality

Ever watch the soap opera "Passions"? A little midget who is supposed to be the puppet of a witch's name is Timmy, too.

Actually, I've never had anything against Canada in real life, which is why I couldn't think of any dumb Canada jokes. I just don't get why so many of my fellow Americans make fun of Canada like it's one giant backwoods countryside inhabited by drunken hermits, hockey players, and lumberjacks. Beats me... I went to Quebec and Nova Scotia once and they were very nice places. Plus, I went to the BIODOME~! Is that place still up and running? (do you even know what the hell I'm talking about? I can't remember what city it was in)

No, but that's exactly the sort of description that would make me START watching it :D

I'm pretty sure the Biodome is in Montreal. It was the Velodrome from the '76 Olympics, if I'm not mistaken. It might be close to the Olympic Stadium, if my memory serves me correctly.
