Crazy Messed up Matches

Recommended Posts

Guest BeefcakeMark

I went to the WCW show New Blood Rising in Vancouver...where they had the "Judy Bagwell on a pole match"...(keep in mind she was too much of a fat ass that they had to use a forklift)...and the Canadian rules match.....the Canadian rules match was Storm vs. Awesome where basically anytime awesome pinned storm jaques from the quebecers would run out and say "In a canadian rules match you must win by a 5 count"...later awesome put storm thru a table and got the "5 count"...then that midget rat bastard runs out and says "In a Canadian rules match there are no tables allowed"....so what im asking basically what are some other retarted matches you can think of....there are probably alot....

the plus side to that card was when i got to see Tank Abbott and 3 count dance......

I LIKE THE BACKSTREET BOYS, N*SYNC TOO

BRITNEY SPEARS IS KINDA CUTE

I WATCH TRL ON MTV...

EVERYBODY 3 COUNT

The Dutchess of Queensbury match last year between Regal and Jericho was basically a rip off of the Canadian Rules match.

Guest What?!

I think Russo was going for Over The Edge '98 with the Canadian Rules match. Except, Storm and Awesome aren't Austin and Foley. And Jaqcues Rougeau isn't Mr. McMahon. And it was new back then.

The entire goofy rules match started with the Quebecers and Steiners on a Raw in 1993 (hence Rougeau being involved in the Storm match). The Quebecers had all sorts of stips in their favor and if the Steiners were DQed they lost the titles...you can guess the finish.

That was a good match believe it or not, but the finish was retarded.

Actually, the steiner/quebecer match had wacky rules, "Qubec Ruls" but it was all made apparent before the match. The newer rendicions didnt.

Gerald Brisco vs. Pat Patterson from KOTR 2000. A total atrocity to the sport, and it's pretty hard to make this sport look worse then it currently does sometimes. But this did it.

The Dumpster Match between the New Age Outlaws and Cactus Jack/Chainsaw Charlie from WM 2000, I believe.

Wrong Dumpster Rule? What a joke.

i think any rule that could possibly foreshadow the end of a match is sad...

The funny thing about the Dumpster Match, though, is that the match itself was really fucking good...one of my favorite tag matches ever (Foley IS Good, man).

As for really dumbass rules...Bra & Panties is a really dumb fucking rule, man. I mean, stripping the opponent down? Especially since they change the ruling from just stripping the opponent to fighting in the Bra & Panties every other match...

But for really cool rules...DOUBLE JEOPARDY. 2 matches go on at the same time in the same ring, no disqualifications, and the winners of those matches face each other.

It was '98, not 2000.

That Lucha Match from Rumble 97 was the most fucked up match ever...

It was the shits, and looked almost backyard...

Are they from the same promotion that Rey Jr. And Psicosis among the others (WCW Crusiers) came from???

The Lucha guys in the rumble were pretty good, (Remember Latin Lover/Heavy Metal from the Eddie/Art Barr match) and obviously Pierroth and Mils...

but perro aggayo reminds me of a backyard version of Masato Tanaka...

The 'San Fransisco Gold Rush Match' between Jarrett and Booker was an awful idea. They had a crate at each turnbuckle, and the belt was in one of them. In the others had stupid shit...like one was a glove. Of course, the belt was in the last one, and Jarrett was about to get it until the midget from the Stern show came out and crotched him with a hockey stick or something so for like the tenth time that summer we had a Jarrett/Booker title switch.

It's not WWE, or even WWF, but King of the Road anyone?

As for recent bad WWF gimmick matches, the hair vs. hair match of Edge vs. Angle, simply because Angle didn't really have much hair to lose, so the stakes weren't even, so it was pretty obvious who was going to lose. When the stakes are more even, such as at a Lucha Libra show where I saw a hair vs. mask match, then it can get more interesting. Previous to that, I'd also say the Regal vs. Edge brass knux on a pole match, simply because I think "on a pole" matches are stupid. Why not just go all the way and have a ladder match?

I've heard of the Judy Bagwell on a Pole match. What is it exactly? The first one to get Buff's mommy off the pole can legally use her in the match? Please enlighten me.

Burnaby represent, yo. And Cambell River isn't that obscure.

Erm, anyways, back on topic: I always considered the Viagara On a Pole match to be a rather horrible trainwreck of an idea. Poor, poor Billy Kidman.

Heh, I remember that lucha match from RR '97. It was like, "why is this here?" Looking back, you're wondering why we didn't see an Austin run-in. ;)

I remember when HHH jobbed on a hogpen match. Now that was screwed up.

I liked the idea of the Canadian Rules Match. Pretty witty ways to make Storm not lose, even if it did make him look really weak.

Test vs. Shane McMahon in that "Love her or Leave her" match. Stupid idea for a match, but Test and Shane did well (shane sold very well actually). That idea though made it rediculous, especially with the Mean Street Posse sitting right at ringside interfering every 5 minutes.....

I've held "Straightjacket" matches on my TNM where to win, you have to put your opponent in a straightjacket.

As for real matches. What about that "Feet touching the floor" match with Kidman and Dean from the show that all the shit hit the fan in 2000?

I remember the catch as catch can match. I think Dean forgotm the rules cause he just went out.

I hated Kane vs. Austin, first blood match, because there is no fucking way you can see Kane bleed!

That was actually a pretty good match, for what it was. I though Trips won though?

That reminds me of the day after the 2000 KOTR, where RTC Steven debuted. It was Malenko vs. Lawler in an "Over the top, off with the top" match. If Lawler went over, Kat would take off a piece of clothing. If Malenko went over, Terri would take something off. Just as Terri was about to take off her top, Steven appeared (Short hair cut and all) with a huge cardboard CENSORED sign and put it over her and dragged her away.

I think the worst ever was the Steiner vs. Quebecers in the QUebec rules mtach. One of the rules was simply: no piledrivers. Also, a DQ means you lose the belts. SO what does RIck Steiner do? That's right, a piledriver.
