Crazy Messed up Matches

Good GOD i hated the entire edg/regal feud, the worst thing about that pole match was the finish. WCW-esque. The ref checks regal, they get the kuncks off the pole, but then regal just reaches into his tights and pulls out knucks anyway? WTF?

taker winning with a low blow and the kotr main event in general was disasterous. How I laughed...but i was drunk at the time.

Am I the only one who liked the idea of the goldrush match? I thought it was something different and interesting. That was one of the few things Russo did in WCW was create some new interesting match types. And for the guy who said there never was a straightjacket match, I remember an asylum match between Scot Steiner and Tank abbott, and it was like in this little bird cage thing in the middle of the ring and the object was to put the straight jacket on your opponent, Rick Steiner turned heel again I think. Other new match concepts Russo introduced in WCW were the ambulence match, penalty box match and of course the awesome triple cage match featuring the wargames match from Nitro. I hated Russo, but I thought his match ideas were cool. Bit for some reason, Vampiro had a lot of DUD matches like the horrid human torch match and the graveyard match.

I think the worst ever was the Steiner vs. Quebecers in the QUebec rules mtach. One of the rules was simply: no piledrivers. Also, a DQ means you lose the belts. SO what does RIck Steiner do? That's right, a piledriver.

Even though the whole of the match was terrible, losing the belts on a DQ is a stipulation that actually makes a lot of sense (I know it would've made the finish of Austin/Angle at Summerslam last year go down a lot easier).

Also, straitjacket matches have been mentioned, and even though this isn't WWF/E, recently indy federation 3PW had a three-way bodybag match, where you had to eliminate both opponents by stuffing them in bodybags (!). No idea how that went, but I'm guessing not easy...

As an addendum to the 3PW bodybag match, I just looked it up and the contestants were New Jack, Sabu, and Sandman, and according to www.3pwrestling.com the match ended up a no contest. How the hell do you get no contest in a bodybag match? Did the bodybags have holes in them or something?

Gerald Brisco vs. Pat Patterson from KOTR 2000. A total atrocity to the sport, and it's pretty hard to make this sport look worse then it currently does sometimes. But this did it.

Before even reading this quote I was already thinking of the Patterson Brisco match at KOTR. That was just a shame.

I've heard of the Judy Bagwell on a Pole match. What is it exactly? The first one to get Buff's mommy off the pole can legally use her in the match? Please enlighten me.

I'm sorry to say, but I'm actually curious about this too. I was one of the fortunate ones who missed this match, but it sounds so stupid that I've just got to know... or not.

The Awesome-Storm Canadian rules match was pretty dumb, there was just no drama in it because the acting was so bad and obvious, plus Awesome wasn't really over as a face, so there was no "stop cheating the face" heat. I thought the one thing that could have salvaged something from that match was when Bret came out afterwards. I was expecting him to berate Storm because he didn't do it the "Canadian Way" and had to cheat and manipulate to beat some wimpy American. Instead it was just a useless appearance to pop the home crowd.

The Judy Bagwell On a Pole match was hideous, although Kanyon tried his best. She wasn't even on a pole though (thank God, she would've wiped out half the people at ringside if it had snapped). She was on a forklift :D

It was just normal rules, but if Kanyon won, Judy became his Kimberly, as he was Positively Kanyon at the time.

Anyone remember the Cast matches on Raw and Nitro? Rock 'broke' his arm, so Triple H had to wrestle him with a cast on his leg.

In advance, Kurt Angle Vs. Rocky Vs. Undertaker.

Rocky needs to be at his 2000 best, Kurt Angle has to be Kurt Angle, and Undertaker needs to turn his game into '1997-Hell In A Cell-Let-Myself-be-carried-by-the-quality-Mode', otherwise this match has shitfest written all over it.

I mean if Jericho, Benoit and Austin can't have a good Triple Threat, and Triple Threats in general suck, God help these men.

Before I get flamed, I know Kurt Angle is THE MAN, I know Rocky ain't that bad, and I know Taker has been trying hard lately, but come on this is gonna suck.

The only good Triple Threat I have ever seen was Rocky/Mankind/Shamrock in the cage in 1998 at Breakdown. And that had Foley bumping at his peak, Rocky with insane crowd heat, and Shamrock wasn't a complete tool either.

Sting Vs Jeff Jarrett like someone said in another thread in the old school forum just surreal in it's badness it had all of the Sting of the past come out to haunt the Sting of the present and what's even worse about this match is that it was Sting's last PPV match

I still have bad dreams about that match.
