Guest Cancer Marney Report post Posted July 5, 2002 "Innocent people have been killed and it has negative impact on the government largely seen here as pro-American," said Mohammed Anwar Shoab, head of the Afghan Journalist Union. CNN story Gee, I wonder why the government is seen as pro-American? Could it have anything to do with the fact that we gave them back their country? Clues for the clueless, #1: don't fire automatic weapons in a war zone.
Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted July 5, 2002 The problem is it seems rather morbid that most american citizens seem to give a shit when innocent people die in other countries due to US military, yet get up in arms and call for the nuking of an entire country, yet if the same situation happened in reverse, I am sure you most would be calling for the heads of the people involved. Bush assured that civilian casulties would be low, we would be careful, etc....yet we have killed more innocent people there then have died in the twin towers, and americans are just saying, ummm, oh well. Well yah, when you devalue INNOCENT human life like that, you expect people to openly welcome US military presence? Don't get me wrong, I am for the death of Bin Laden, Al Qaeda, Taliban...etc...I wouldn't think twice if I had the decision to round 'em up and slaughter them on a firing squad, but that has nothing do with with just having bomb raids over towns and cities, where innocent people are dying.
