Guest The Electrifyer Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 In the Addres Bar for Internet Explorer, I'm sure you're all familiar how when you click the arrow so a menu of web site addresses comes down and also when you begin to type in a site, it begins listing possible sites that match the site you are typing. My question is short and simple, just how do you remove a site from that Address Bar?
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 You been going to the naughty naughty sites on the net havent you? Ah but never fear! I will help! To Erase Sites from the Toolbar: Step 1: Click on Tools Step 2: Select Internet Options... Step 3: Press the Clear History button Step 4: Choose Yes Step 5: Click OK to close the Internet Options panel Step 6: You may need to close all open browsers Step 7: Wash, rise and wipe hands on pants. Repeat as necessary.. Or to stop IE from ever remembering sites again in the toolbar (where say I type www.w and it auto fills in www.wwe.com for example): Step 1: Click on Tools Step 2: Select Internet Options... Step 3: Click the Content tab up at the top Step 4: Press the Auto-Complete button Step 5: Uncheck Web Addresses Step 6: Click OK to close the Auto Complete panel Step 7: Click OK to close the Internet Options panel Step 8: You may need to close all open browsers Step 9: Wash, rise and wipe hands on pants. Repeat as necessary..

Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted July 11, 2002 Report Posted July 11, 2002 Uh. I admit I watch the screensavers to see Megan Morrone and Morgan Webb. Sue me.
Guest The Electrifyer Posted July 11, 2002 Report Posted July 11, 2002 Marvin, who in the blue hell are Megan Morrone and Morgan Webb?? And I finally got around to doing that and it worked perfect... thanks man.
Guest Mattdotcom Posted July 15, 2002 Report Posted July 15, 2002 I always get on Instant Messanger and send addresses I want private to my screen name...
Guest jimmy no nose Posted July 15, 2002 Report Posted July 15, 2002 If you had a smart parent/other person in your house they could still just look through your cookies saved in the Temporary Internet Files folder. Better kill all those too. But that would be so annoying.
Guest Nevermortal Posted July 15, 2002 Report Posted July 15, 2002 Uh. I admit I watch the screensavers to see Megan Morrone and Morgan Webb. Sue me. Uh....I also watch TSS for Megan & Morgan. And Call for Help for Cat. Rawr!
Guest Razor Roman Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 If you go to Start -> Settings ->Taskbar and Start MEnu -> Start menu options you can Clear the "Recent Documents" as well as the drop down bar in IE.
