Guest kelloggs Report post Posted July 5, 2002 A young man looks, up staring at the clock in his locker room pensively. Almost two hours have passed since SJL Wrath but a lone sWo member is still seen pacing back and forth. For each second the clock moves the wrestlers head hangs a little more. The Nokia cellular phone in his hand darts from his ear quickly as a muffled utterance can be heard. Mak Francis grimaces and brings the phone back to his ear bearing a look, which most consider fear. Fear of a man that holds his future, like Francis cradles the boyhood dreams of many others around him. Across his shoulder and in the palm of his now sweaty other hand as both belts never leave his side, like a crutch to prove his importance and worth as a person. Francis: “Yes sir, we’re all out…” Francis listens intently wiping sweat from his brow as the voice on the other end continues over the chimes of the chronometer’s bell. In some faiths the chime of a bell signals an epiphany. A life changing experience that can be heeded or ignored in the blink of an eye. They come when the time is right like… Francis: “But Mr. Wilson, Helmsley, CIA and Renegade are…” A brief pause and a clock gear clanks and drops of sweat hit the floor. Francis: “Yes but Renegade…” The sWo member has to once again take the phone from his ear as Chris Wilson speaks heatedly. Each second seems to occur in slow motion as a certain passer by looks in through the door, trying to stifle a chuckle because Francis trips over his own feet from backpedaling, and lands on his ass in a heap. Francis is oblivious to the onlooker who smiles and stares as if waiting for something… Francis: “I understand that this was an important match. All of them were. But everything we planned backfired on us and if CIA…” Another verbal berating from the ticking time bomb Wilson, interrupts Francis’s train of thought. Francis: “Yes Mr. Wilson I am a double champion…I am a member of the greatest stable in the SJL…you’re right, no more excuses. I will back up my words in the ring. I just didn’t think Renegade was that good. I underestimated that move he beat me with. I underestimated everything about him. Maybe I’ve underestimated every other wrestler here too…damn it’s hot in here!” Francis rises from his fallen position and continues to pace like he was doing previously. Never turning towards the door or taking his eyes off the clock. Francis: “I just don’t know if I can beat him. After all the talk and all the hype, I lost. I didn’t lose in six straight shows and then this guy comes by after one match and…If I’m supposed to be the elite…one of the talented few held down by Edwin…a fucking Franchise…WHY CAN”T I BEAT HIM…WHY CAN’T I BEAT SOME WANNABE FRANCHISE, "GRAND SLAM" CHAMPION TRYING TO RELIVE HIS PAST.” Francis’s expression changes as Wilson speaks in a calm tone. And his sWo charge stops his hysterical ranting. The words Wilson speaks are frozen in time completely contrasting the now overwhelming heat that may have led to Francis’s sudden grumpy outburst. Francis: “If you think I’m good enough…I guess…but he just seems so much better than anyone I’ve faced so far. I just don’t know…how can I be a "grand slam" champion, the triple crown champion if I can't beat one...can't beat him. I’m going to go by Edwin’s room and find out the card. I probably won’t even get a good match now that I’m out of the tournament…” Time passes and the sWo manager gives his final thoughts to a shaken young man whose confidence is caving as they converse. All this, the elite attitude, falsely built up buoyancy, eroding because of one man. One match that could be the epiphany in a young career. And the clock begins to chime because it can… Francis: “Yes Mr. Wilson. I’ll talk to you soon sir.” A single stroke of the timepiece later, the man on the other end has hung up and Francis is left with no one to speak too. A look back up to the face of time gives him assurance for some strange reason but one has to wonder. They say in some faiths the chime of a bell signals an epiphany. A life changing experience that can be heeded or ignored in the blink of an eye but it holds more importance in your life than thousands of choices or ideas made before it. They come when the time is right like…clockwork. And right on cue, as the clock bell finishes, Francis strolls over to the thermostat and turns it down from a little over 100 degrees, which triggers the bucket of sticky brown substance to fall all over his body. Suddenly humming of the Canadian national anthem can be heard as CIA looks on from the doorway and laughs. Francis turn around with a scowl across his face, shaking with rage. Francis: “Maple Syrup? MAPLE SYRUP?! C…I…AAAAAAA!” CIA, while amused turns and walks out the door with a wave of his hand disappearing from sight and slams the door closed. You can almost here the faint whisper of “that ain’t all, eh” as he leaves. Francis quickly attempts to clean off his belts, but with the loud bang of the door comes a shower of confetti, rainning down and covering the already sticky Francis and his belts. Yes everything occurs like clockwork... EDIT: edited because Rene's not an OLD MAN. He's a WANNABE FRANCHISE.

Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted July 6, 2002 Now that I've read this promo of yours kelloggs, I must say that was quite excellent read. Really liked the Maple Syrup part, but that's cause I'm Canadian.
