Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted July 5, 2002 I don't get over this way to much because I have a limited Japanese tape selection here. But what the Hell, I'll do the wrestlers I seen wrestle. So lets genuflect on your favorite Hayabusa, H, Eiji Ezaki Moment heres mine Hayabusa vs Kodoh Fuyuki At the FMW PPV 11-20-98 H & Naohiko Yamazaki vs Tomoaki Honma & Ryuji Yamakawa At the Rikidozan Memorial II And H vs Hayabusa (Mr.Gannosuke) With Shawn Michaels as the ref At the FMW 10th Annaversy (sp)

Guest RickyChosyu Report post Posted July 6, 2002 I have had very limited viewing of him, unfortunately. Here's my favorites, though: All Japan six man tag: Sasuke, TMIV, and Hayabusa Vs. Ogowa, Kakihara, and Mossman. I have no clue what the date on that one is, but it was the first Japanese match I ever saw, so it holds nostalgic value to me. Plus, it was just worked very well and even Ogawa impressed me at times. Fun match. No Ropes Exploding Barbed Wire Cage Time Bomb Retirement Match: Onita Vs. Hayabusa. Pretty much my first death match experience, and a pretty memorable one, too. After the clock ran out and the entire thing went up in a huge explostion, Hayabusa tried a moonsault off the very top and missed. Brutal, brutal stuff. And aside from a few other FMW garbage matches, that's it. Oh, that and the ECW tag with him and Jinsei Vs. Sabu and RVD, but I didn't like that match very much. I heard that match Was a RVD Sabu Spot match, kinda ruins the Impact Yeah, considering the champs were at a period where RVD didn't know shit about wrestling and Sabu was too washed up to be any good, and also factoring in that I've never liked Jinsei, I wasn't too shocked at the match quality. To their credit, Jinsei/Haybusa filled their role in this match as well as could be expected, considering the champs would never allow this one to become a coherant match. There were some clever double-teaming spots in there, but it never gets above the RVD/Sabu standard of the time period, that being the hugely-sucky spot-intensive wrestling that's only interesting factor is how many diferent ways they can use a chair to hurt someone. Pass on this one.
Guest Mark4steamboat Report post Posted July 6, 2002 That match was kind of fun to watch but yeah it was extremely spotty. im a jinsei and hayabusa fan and they should have let them have more offense.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted July 7, 2002 It's early, and not much..but the Hayabusa/Lyger match from the Super J-Cup 1994..if just for the fact it was the first appearance of the "Hayabusa" character in Japan. (I think. Don't hold me to that.) Hayabusa/Shinzaki also had a decent match with Misawa/Akiyama.

(I think. Don't hold me to that.) You right it is. Eiji left for Mexico during a Tour to Bring his wrestling up. Before he left Liger one of his friends at the time Evidently gave him the Mask Character idea. Hayabusa first appeared in Mexico and in a Florida promotion where he won their major title playing the Heel masked wrestler against Floridian Wrestling faces. His first gig as Hayabusa was the J Cup and the opponent was the man that gave him the Hayabusa idea Liger.

Nothing totally amazing, and now that I think about it did seem like he was still trying to fine-toon the Hayabusa gimick to what it would eventually become, but I still thought it was a good outing for both men. Guest razazteca Report post Posted July 7, 2002 what about the Hayabusa matches against Mike Gladiator Awesome? from the FMW DVDs of Crash N Burn and Total Carnage or Legend Dawns?
Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted July 7, 2002 I personally don't care for the Hayabusa/Awesome matches. Not Hayabusa's problem there though..Awesome is just..well..not so great.

I never got the big deal about Awesome. He always seemed like a one-trick pony with no substance beyond that. Tanaka was the one who always impressed me, in their matches. Guest razazteca Report post Posted July 8, 2002 what about Tanaka & Hayabusa vs Fuyuki & Kanemura? the crowd seem hot in this match. Awesome's one trick was pretty cool, The Awesome Bomb, is/was a great move.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted July 8, 2002 I liked Hayabusa/Tanaka (5/5/2000) a lot, as it was also the only real redeeming factor from that show (the rest was decent at best). Come to think of it, the only Hayabusa match I didn't like was Hayabusa/Tanaka vs. Funk/Pogo...but that's because Funk is a shell of his former self, and Pogo is a piece of shit... I agree with that. The match was basically Tanaka and Hayabusa selling for them with no real offense.
