Jericho bashes 'net once more

Recommended Posts

Guest Vern Gagne

What problems with the net? The match he thinks was bashed got at least 3 stars by almost everyone. Let it go already, Chris.

Methinks Jericho is slowly on the road to becoming the next Bret Hart.

If Chris out there.. let's hope he doesn't read this fantasy booking from

this page

"In the back, Chris Jericho happened upon The Big Valbowski, who was typing away on his brand new laptop. Jericho asked Valbowski what he was doing, and the Big Valbowski told Jericho that he was putting the finishing touches on his new extreme right wing political commentary Internet site, the Valbowski Factor. At the mention of the Internet, Jericho snapped and smashed Valbowski with a chair before running off with his laptop yelling "SCREW THE INTERNET!"

Chris Jericho tries his "COME ON!" pin.

The Big Valbowski kicks out.

Chris Jericho tells the referee that new Bulls draft pick Jay Williams is in

the front row.

Referee Tim White looks to the crowd and says "Where? I can't see him."

Chris Jericho uses the distraction to grab the Big Valbowski's laptop and

savagely beats him into unconsciousness with it.

The Big Valbowski is busted open.

Chris Jericho executes the The Walls of Jericho on The Big Valbowski.

Tim White turns his attention back to the match.

The Big Valbowski is unable to respond to Tim White's questions.

Tim White declares it a submission victory.

Chris Jericho is being booed out of the building.

Chris Jericho says "Screw you, jackoffs!" and breaks the laptop.

The winner is Chris Jericho. Time of match: 0:12:40

Chris Jericho took on the Big Valbowski and beat him after using the Valbowski's laptop to knock him out and then putting him in the Walls of Jericho. Jericho then destroyed the laptop and yelled "that's what I'd do to the Internet!"

Backstage again, new WWE sensations John Cena and Randy Orton were in a room filled with computer equipment doing live chats and interviews and streaming crap and all that stuff for WWE.com. Unfortunatley, Chris Jericho happened by at that point and realized what they were doing, then took a chair and destroyed all the WWE.com equipment and screamed about how the Internet sucks. Cena and Orton took exception to this, but Jericho continued to freak out about the Internet and smashed the two of them with the chair and left them out cold. At THAT moment, Faarooq walked by the room, saw the carnage and said "Damn!", setting up a match with Jericho later.

Jericho came out and kicked Faarooq's ass because he was still really pissed about the Internet thing, and then got on the mic and said this was one of his best matches ever and if people on a little thing he liked to call the InterSHIT (this got bleeped, and really, it's not even that funny, because net and shit don't sound that much alike) didn't think so, well, screw them!"

some times the best way to combat a weird ass delusional "cry-for-me" gimmick is to mock the guy doing it. Good work Mex. :)

I see Jericho is still trying to work the Internet...at least I hope he is.

I still don't know if he is for sure or not either, he talks like ALL of us smarks are so negative toward him, when actually we were a fanbase who supported him through his times of being held down by HHH and appreciated some of his good matches. And like Vern Gagne(the poster, of course) said, most of us thought of his RVD match highly, but Jericho, for some reason, gets the idea that that wasn't the case? If this isn't a work, then Jericho's REALLY got some problems that need to be dealt with.

I am an Internet Smark but I agree with Jericho on the negativity on wrestling message boards...

I used to post all the time on the Rantsylvania/Smarks board before 2001...but now there seems to be only stupid arguments and replys during shows that say "Well that sucked!" or "The WWE is a sinking ship...I'm boycotting!"

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and that's the good thing about the internet...but now everyone uses it to complain ("Could've been MUCH better" or "Why is this guy being pushed...fire him!")

I'm gonna go watch Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back now

We're definately being worked. Why would the WWF follow up on something like that. But alot of it is the truth.

I thought there were reports of it not being a work. It's not like everything on wwe.com is in character - check out the Undertaker's interview from a couple weeks back.

In either case, it is a SAD deal.

Why in the hell would the WWE be trying to get extra heat from Jericho from the frickin' Internet?

Why in the hell would Jericho be getting so ridiculously touchy about reviews of his match quality?

Just sad.

Holy cow, Jericho needs to get over it. Maybe he'll have a ***** match at Vengance just so he can eat up the ratings.

This is old news. Mostly everyone knows Jericho is working this "I hate the internet" thing to get himself over more as a heel with the smarks who still cheer for him.

411 got that totaly wrong...i mean Jericho didn't really bash the internet per say, but the WWE asked him why. So the title of this thread should be

"Jericho gives WWE reasons why he bashed the internet and his latest Fozzy concerts"

It all started on my message board about a year and a half ago, when all these people were going on my message board and saying how much they hated me, how bad I was. I just figured, why would you go on a message board for a site promoting me and start burying me? So I shut the message board down. It was just a negative place, and that was my reaction to this too.

I remember that. I started on Jericho's board like 2-3 years ago... and man that board went through absolute hell. He must be talking about the people who came on the boards saying that he was "Chris Jericho: the merchandise whore." Well... he did advertise his shirts every commentary. The Chris Jericho message board has lost a lot of it's good posters through the 1248456034856 closings and reopenings. I guess he actually reads his message board then. Anyway, I think that Jericho has reason for what he is saying but he has to realize that not every great match is going to be applauded, not every funny promo is going to be laughed at, and not every character change is going to please the fans. That's just the way it goes, especially on the internet. Some people are never pleased, but I think Chris should have looked at all the people saying how GOOD his match was instead of the few who disagreed.

This is definitely a work now... because Chris has no reason to feel the way he does.

He dissed his board, but as a regular there for a few years now, there has never been any bashing of the guy... there's been problems, but nothing to do with Chris.

I think this is rather stupid of WWE to do... because the "smarks" will still love him, no matter what... and this only affects the few marks that pop on the Internet and don't realize that WWE spews garbage most of the time.
