I have yet to see This Is Spinal Tap, but I LOVE the other two. I just bought/watched Waiting For Guffman on DVD. The commentary and additional scenes are all great. I own Best In Show on VHS, but I will also be buying the DVD for the commentary. Anyone else see any of these movies?

I thought I was the only person alive who has never seen This is Spinal Tap. I just got Waiting for Guffman on DVD (from my less-than-five-dollars DVD place), but I haven't watched it yet.

So, I suppose Best in Show wins by default (gotta love Parker).

Better than being the only person alive who doesn't like This is Spinal Tap. I haven't seen Waiting for Guffman (is that the one about the small town and the musical?), but I've seen the other two, and although they both have their funniest moments, on the whole I just don't find them funny. I "get it", but I'm not laughing. I guess it's just not my kind of humor.

Yeah, Guffman is the small town play.

When I watch Best In Show it is like non-stop laughter. Guffman on the other hand, had less laughter, but it also had some meaning towards the end.

Yea, my favorite bit in Best in Show was the "pscyhologically scarred" dog. It was pretty funny, but I couldn't even really laugh at that because I was watching with one of my friends who, suffering from really bad menstrual cramps, was yelling "what the hell is this? turn off that damn dog movie, that's not funny!"
