Ok, long story, my JR bashing has come about due to the prodding of my girlfriend, who's black.

 

When my famliy met her, i got a weird time

Anyone else here in an interracial relationship, and any stories about problems you had

theyre getting really common here in the southern US and i really dont have a problem with it. Most southern baptists are getting their collars in a wad over it but oh well. people can live their life as they please.

I see perfectly nothing wrong with them... (I've went out with about one black girl in my life, the others different races... don't ask why... just have.)

 

I mean, I'm black myself and go out with girls of ALL races. But, yeah... sometimes meeting the family can meet a bit weird. Especially if someone is racist in the family.

 

I've had some problems time-to-time, but I usually get over them.

I've only dated white and hispanic girls and haven't run into to many problems from the hispanic side (as I am white) except for some looks and the fact I can't tell if they are saying anything about me since I don't speak Spanish.

My first love was a Hispanic girl (she's my ex now, but we're talking on the phone right now ), and her family is pretty cool with me. They seem to be nicer to her Hispanic boyfriends, but they treat me okay.

 

The only probably I had was from another ex who was mixed (Hispanic-White) and her brother was SUPER racist.

I really don't see anything wrong with interracial relationships, nor can I relate to people who do have a problem with them. I almost date exclusively outside of my race at this point, because white girls in Texas are predominately useless.

Well, when I went to a R.Kelly (before he was a know molestor) concert in Houston... there were some mind-blowing black females.

 

And, when I visit other places I see some yummy looking girls of many races. It depends on where you go really.

I'm going out with a black girl now (well, she's mixed, Black and white parents). Her dad likes me, but her mom isnt too fond of the whole 'Evil' aura that surrounds me ... whatever though.

Well, my favourite girlfriend was Asian, so I seem to have much more interested in Asian girls than I do white girls. Besides, most girls who have seemed to have interest in me were usually a mix of some sort, so I have zero problem with interracial dating whatsoever.

We get nothing from anyone here.

Her parents were fine with it, as were mine.

But that may be because our parents have none we were friends for 12 years before we started going dating.

And seeing as I live in Leicester, England, probably THE MOST racially tolerant place in the world, nothing has ever been said at least to my knowledge.

I dunno, I just broke up with a white girl in April but my parents never met her. I don't have any problems with interracial relationships myself, but I know my parents do to a certain extent. Not really so much my dad, but my mom grew up in the south during the 50's and 60's and experienced all of the Jim Crow laws and stuff, my Grand Dad had so many encounters with the KKK you wouldn't believe it, basically the only reason her family moved to Philly was because he was gonna get killed if he stayed down there, and my mom never forgot that, and she's got serious issues with whites as a result. Most of my girlfriends have been black (from my own preference and that I'm in a mostly black area), but my parents say they wouldn't mind if I brought a white girl home. I somehow doubt that, but hey....

 

Edit: My first sentence kinda sounds like I was hiding my girl from my parents, and I just wanna clear up that I wasn't. They knew about her, but we just happened to break up before my parents got the chance to meet her.

My girlfriend's spanish and I havent really had any problem other than I suck at picking up the language, and cant understand most of what they say, and they talk in spanish in front of me sometimes, but its cool. There is just something about Spanish that interests me so I get enjoyment out of just listening to it, even if I cant understand it.

Pretty much the same story here... except my great-grandfather was in Alabama, and moved to Texas. Not because he feared his life, but because he wanted to.. *shrugs*

 

My great-grandfather is cool if I do go out with someone outside my race, but he REALLY pushes me to get black girls. Hell, MOST of my family does.

 

I hardly listen, though... personal peference, I assume.
