Guest Sebastian_the_Bastard Report post Posted July 6, 2002 I wrestle for my high school. And I think amateur wrestling is totally pimp. It's physically changing and mentally changing while on the mat. I think it's a great way to get out anger too, just to do a double leg takedown on somebody as hard as you can. I used to do that to this one smelly jackass in practice every day - it was great. Any other wrestlers? Love, Sebastian the Bastard
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted July 8, 2002 I think the meets were better than the practices. The practices were challenging, but I really only the found the end of practices challenging because we would run suicides at the end of practice and do sprawls after the suicides. The meets kicked ass because we would wrestle under the spotlight in the middle of the ceiling. During a tournament at our school, a gash was opened up by my right eye and I had to be rushed to the emrgency room to get it stitched up. That shit happened around New Year's Eve and I had to go to my girlfriend's house with my eye swollen from antibiotics. After that, I had to wear a Jason mask with my headgear, which was pretty menacing. The girls at my school found me pretty studly (too bad I had a girlfriend) and would always cheer like hell when I took my mask off at the end of my matches. That shit was such a rush. After pinning somebody, I would do the dramatic pause and take my mask off, while breathing heavily. That shit was great! One time during introductions, one of the coaches gave me a long introduction and proclaimed that I was from the Smackdown Hotel located on Know Your Role Boulevard and Jabroni Drive. The guy that I was supposed to wrestle was laughing, but I went out and pinned his punk ass. I also had the Hardy Boys thing going for me because I wrestled at the 215 weight class. Everyone that I faced was usually bigger than me, but I would just hit them with double leg takedowns. One time I did that to some guy that was supposed to be a bad motherfucker, and I ended up having some guy coming up to me in the bathroom to congratulate me. At one tournament, I ended up getting a tech from taking the guy down and letting him back up. I miss wrestling sometimes.
Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted July 8, 2002 I have wrestled a few times in gym class, but our school doesn't have a wrestling team...maybe next year though. My grandpa is a four time Hungarian heavyweight champion. I take Jujitso instead
Guest HBK16 Report post Posted July 9, 2002 I wrestled for my high school. It was off the hook. jk. No but seriously, wrestling has to be one of the toughest sports especially when you took it as serious as I did. I have great, great memories.
Guest Sebastian_the_Bastard Report post Posted July 10, 2002 Yeah, I think practices were a blast. They were pimp. Especially when we would do grind matches (usually five minute matches where we'd take turns doing moves on each other). I only went to a few meets, since I joined late. Ha, a few friends and I picked up some chicks at a tournament once. We tried to get our only senior wrestler hooked up, but that didn't work. Ahh, fast times at Harrison High. Guest Mr. Slim Citrus Report post Posted July 11, 2002 I wrestled three years in high school; 171, 189 and heavyweight. The very best high school sport.

Guest HBK16 Report post Posted July 11, 2002 The wrestling team was my favorite team that I was ever on. I have a million wrestling stories that I could tell. Go ahead let's hear the pimp ass stories. Love, Sebastian the Bastard You wanna hear a story. Here's one that I am very proud of. I was a freshman in Highschool and we were wrestling our biggest rival, Peoria High School. I was wrestling varsity 103. We always lost to them. In all of the meets we had with them, we never won. This was no diferent but I was the only one who won a match at the meet against Peoria. I knew I couldn't beat him because of his record. So when I went in I played a little offense in the first round. The second I played all defense reversing everything of his. The score was 6-10. He was winning. There was only 20 seconds left inthe match and he was all tired up so I went in for a bow and arrow and pinned him with everything I had left. I would kill to see the reaction on our stand again. It was the greatest moment in my life. I thought after my match maybe a few more of my team would win matches but no one else did. Even until my senior year they were using it as an example at practices and before Peoria meets.
Guest undisputedjericho Report post Posted July 12, 2002 I don't wrestle (Play football and lift the rest of the year) but I respect the hell out of the guys that do. They say its the hardest practice in our county and harder than football practices. (We won the state sectionals in 2001 and lost in the final to a neighbooring rival town this year)
Guest HBK16 Report post Posted July 12, 2002 Yeah it is funny how wrestling is one of the toughest sports in high school but no one recognizes you for it. People pay more attention to Volleyball than wrestling where I live. And even though our football team wins a total of 2 games a year, it is more popular than wrestling. It's quite sad. Guest Sebastian_the_Bastard Report post Posted July 13, 2002 Here's what I think is sad about wrestling. How all the gay comments made about the sport. Just because you got out there in spandex and "roll around the mat with guys." That's not pimp at all. What's pimp is that you go out there and give it everything you got to out-wrestle your opponent and prove you are better. Love, Sebastian the Bastard
