Guest lomasmoney Report post Posted July 7, 2002 I love Gi Joe and I was a fan Of GI Joe Extreme. I'm not really clear on the story. All I know is the Cobra Commander is a robot. And Duke is Lt. Falcon's half brother. That's about all I know.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted July 7, 2002 First off, Cobra Commander isn't a robot...the movie answered that, I believe... GI Joe Extreme was just a military special ops. team for the US government that dealt with terrorist factions and also worked with InterPol. the comic book (Dark Horse Comics' GI Joe) was much better than the show. Guest areacode212 Report post Posted July 8, 2002 There was a G.I. Joe movie? So, what was the deal with Cobra Commander? Why did he wear a hood in some eps and that mirrored faceplate in others? Was there a reason given for this or did he just like to wear different headgear?
Guest Vyce Report post Posted July 8, 2002 I like to forget that Extreme ever happened. Awful show that was. Cobra Commander is a looong story. Just going by the cartoon continuity.....CC was a Cobra-La nobleman. They, uh, weren't exactly human (but humanoid). The reason he wore a mask / hood / helmet was because, during an experiment (he was a scientist) with mutagenic spores, there was an accident which disfigured him. Badly (how'd you like a faceful of eyes?). Later, he was chosen by Golobulus, the ruler of Cobra-La, to enter the world of mankind and conquer it through the terrorist unit of Cobra. He failed, got turned into a snake by Golobulus (see the movie!), and in the Sunbow (or was it DIC?) revival of the animated series, he was mutated back into a snake-like humanoid form by Baroness. So, in the first series he wore the masks cause he was disfigured. He wore the mask in the 2nd series since he was literally a snake-man. That's the long & short of it. Guest mach7 Report post Posted July 8, 2002 Funny thing though, Cobra Commander's skin was blue (you find this out in the movie). Yet, when he wore his Blue Executioner's hood, the skin around his eyes was Caucasian coloured..
