Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted July 7, 2002 He and JR were the *shits* in the NWA. He had a great voice, actually knew what the hell was going on in the ring, and had great chemistry with Jim Ross. Anyone knows where he is these days?
Guest Frankie Williams Report post Posted July 7, 2002 I agree. Caudle and Ross were really great. I just watched the Flair/Steamboat match on the HHH dvd and they were announcing it. It made me realize that Ross is NOT what he used to be and it also made me hate Michael Cole even more.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Report post Posted July 7, 2002 Vince has turned Ross into the fat cowboy he wants him to be. Ross has gotten so much worse, yet he's still the best in the WWE. Go figure.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted July 7, 2002 I agree. Caudle and Ross were really great. I just watched the Flair/Steamboat match on the HHH dvd and they were announcing it. How ironic, because I was watching the same exact thing which led me to posting this.

Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted July 8, 2002 Your telling me. 1238904723 times better than what I original thought. I think they spent too much time talking about WM 18, but other than that this is an awesome watch. I really enjoyed it and it was worth the 20 bucks. Â To me, the extras were worth the 20 bucks and the HHH story was just an added bonus.

Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted July 8, 2002 For info on Caudle, ask the peope at Kayfabememories.com. The posters on their board know their stuff when it comes to old-school wrestling.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted July 9, 2002 from the little i have heard from bob caudle he was pretty good. i know him from the steamboat/flair matches and i also think he does announcing on my starrcade 1983 tape as well.
Guest Some Guy Report post Posted July 9, 2002 I don't know what happened to Caudle but I assume he retired, he was pretty old in 90 i think. I thought Caudle was pretty decent then adn Ross was excellent. When a huge chop happens in Flair/Steamboat and JR goes, "This is INDEED the NWA!" is one of my favorite quotes from him. It was like him saying, "Hey Vince FUCK you and your Roided monsters and look at this, bitch!" Great line IMO.
