What the hell was the Jo Jo Miller Incident?

Recommended Posts

JR would always talk about "Jo Jo Miller" and stuff. I always wondered what they meant by that. I would go in description, but I don't much about it.

I think it was just a name Mick used as a joke in his older Mankind promos......remember from Breakdown before his Triangle match in the cag with Shamrock and Rock?

"When I broke Jojo Miller's guns because I wanted them, it was probably a stupid thing. When I saw a grown man urinating on an electric fence, I thought that that was a stupid thing. The President of the United States risking a nation for a girl that even I would have turned down in high school, that's probably a stupid thing. But of all the stupid things, nothing rivals the People's elbow. And if youu think that Mankind, inside a steel cage on Pay Per view is going to lie down and sell that abortion, then you've got another thing coming. See I have trained in the museum with Spaceman Frank Hickey and I am ready! Sugar coated testes? Is that a new breakfast cereal" LOL

New question: Who the hell is Spaceman Frank Hickey?

He was a wrestler according to Kayfabe Memories....

"Spaceman Frank Hickey: What can I even say about Frank? He had perhaps the corniest gimmick in the business, but he was a riot. I think that Frank probably worked nearly every territory in the country at one time or another."

when would jr ever mention this?

During any of Mankind matches. Just listen to his commentary. For example, I think Buried Alive IYH he just randomly talks about Jo Jo Miller and Vince & King are like "What?" and he said "Nevermind."

This might have been mentioned in the one-on-one interview with JR Foley did in mid 1997 that turned him babyface.
