Guest LesnarLunatic Posted July 8, 2002 Report Posted July 8, 2002 I'd end the series by finding some way to have had them all age 12 years. Which means: 20 to 22 year old Bart 18 year old Lisa 13 year old Maggie 50 year old Homer 111 year old Mr. Burns. and then they can kill off every character one by one on the show. Unless they want to do a movie.
Guest DARRYLXWF Posted July 8, 2002 Report Posted July 8, 2002 That's a really poor idea. For me? I'd either do 2 things. 1. Have the last episode as a preview to the movie. 2. Have one LAST episode, and make the movie. It would probably be a christmas one, or similar to the 22 (?) short films about Springfield, with dialogue between every character that made the show so great.
Guest Razor Roman Posted July 8, 2002 Report Posted July 8, 2002 It would be great if Troy Maclure could have hosted "The Simpsons, Last Episode Extravaganza" ... but Phil Hartman's Crackhead wife ruined that one. > She ruins everything... Simpsons, News Radio... what's next?!
Guest caboose Posted July 8, 2002 Report Posted July 8, 2002 I know it's cheesy, but i'd end the Simpsons with Homer accomplishing his dream of owning the Dallas Cowboys. It would be the funniest thing ever, Homer could stand there do his drool thing and say 'MMMMMMMMM, Cowboys.'. How they'd do it, I don't know. Maybe his brother could buy it for him.
Guest Karnage Posted July 8, 2002 Report Posted July 8, 2002 The show should tell the viewers its time to end the show because its imporfitable and have a one hour special...I don't really know what I would put in the episode, but it wouldn't be heavy on the visual gags.
Guest RetroRob215 Posted July 8, 2002 Report Posted July 8, 2002 You could always use EVERYONE'S favorite ending...have some guy wake up in his bed, thus making the whole series a VERY LONG dream.
Guest bob_barron Posted July 8, 2002 Report Posted July 8, 2002 I woud just do a typical Simpsons episode- I mean I think it'd be funny if they just went out and did a normal episode
Guest Mattdotcom Posted July 8, 2002 Report Posted July 8, 2002 Holy lord, that's exactly what I would do, Bob...I mean, that's been my plan for years...
Guest Daredevil21 Posted July 8, 2002 Report Posted July 8, 2002 No, ya gotta do something different for the last episode. It wouldn't have to be something real out of the ordinary, but something special. Considering how long the show has been on, I think it should at the least be an hour. Didn't X-Files get a 2-hour finale? If they did, then the F'n Simpsons deserve that. As for actual show ideas, I really can't think of any way to end a show that has been running so long and has had such an impact like the Simpsons has.
Guest bob_barron Posted July 8, 2002 Report Posted July 8, 2002 The Simpsons takes forever to produce and its a thirty minute show. A 1-2 hr show would take forever to do.
Guest Daredevil21 Posted July 8, 2002 Report Posted July 8, 2002 So what? You can't rush genius. If it takes a while, so be it. I'm sure they're willing to put the effort into making a great finale to the greatest series of all time.
Guest dreamer420 Posted July 8, 2002 Report Posted July 8, 2002 i would like to see a one hour finale if the simpsons must go. a nice sendoff featuring lots of previous characters would be sweet
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 I would make it a homage to the finale of Black Adder.
Guest What? Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 What I would do is have the family move to a different country, like the Power Plant has to move to fit regulations or something. Then, at the end of the show, have Milhouse standing alone in the street with the sunset in front of him, showing only his silhouette...and he then says... "It's the Van Houten's time to shine!" Then he does his weird laugh... and gets hit by a car The End
Guest Bosstones Fan Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 What I would do is have the family move to a different country, like the Power Plant has to move to fit regulations or something. Guest cynicalprofit Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 umm...is the show actually ending...if so i have no real reason to care about tv anymore.
Guest Goodear Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 My stupid scenario... WHO SHOT MR. BURNS??? PART III!!! Returning to the infamous cliffhanger where it has been determined that Maggie shot Mr. Burns *cough*, we instead discover that Maggie did not actually do it, because thats just too stupid and that some other person really did it... Homer mentally goes through the suspect list as every member of the cast's history goes FLYING across the screen (so everyone gets screen time). Anyway, we find that Sideshow Bob was behind it (because everyone loves Sideshow Bob) so he could blow up the nuclear plant... a fight ensues... BOOOOOOOOOOM! Milhouse gets hit by a car, thee end.
Guest Shaved Bear Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 id have them explain how exactly Marvin Monroe died What state they live in revealed Just dont do the whole Mr Burns is moving the plant so the simpsons move, thus ending the series ending it reeks of overused
Guest What? Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 The Simpson's live in Ohio in the "Behind the Laughter" episode, the announcer says "Yes, this small Ohio family has been through a lot..." or something like that, but it's Ohio mainly because the creators wanted that to be the last show, but...here we are!
Guest bob_barron Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 In the original they said Kentucky or Missouri or something and then changed it in the rerun. I'm telling ya- A regular normal Simpsons is the best way to go
Guest Karnage Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 They changed the city names so you don't know what state Springfield is in.
Guest Prototype450 Posted July 18, 2002 Report Posted July 18, 2002 They guy who does Dexter's dad's voice could do the voice of Troy McClure. They sound so much alike. (WHo's Homer's brother?)
