Guest Tony149 Posted February 19, 2002 Report Posted February 19, 2002 The fans like RVD's spot-fest style. Does he need to be carried in a one-on-one wrestling match? Of course he does. RVD carries the crowd heat into a match.
Guest skyhigh Posted February 19, 2002 Report Posted February 19, 2002 There was a rediculous number of ref bumps in the match but I thought Angle v HHH was match of the night. Maybe its the fact that Angle seems to be heading to the WM main event or if it was the alcohol kicking in but I enjoyed it. Just hope Angle stays in the Main Event picture.
Guest goodhelmet Posted February 19, 2002 Report Posted February 19, 2002 "Maybe its the fact that Angle seems to be heading to the WM main event or if it was the alcohol kicking in but I enjoyed it." It was the alcohol "Just hope Angle stays in the Main Event picture" i agree but I don't have faith in the WWF to take that route.
Guest Tony149 Posted February 19, 2002 Report Posted February 19, 2002 I think Angle will stay in the WM main event, but HHH will be there too. In a Triple Threat match with Angle vs. Jericho vs. HHH.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted February 19, 2002 Report Posted February 19, 2002 The triple threat is needed because HHH can't carry a one on one match. Angle/HHH match of the night? Um...OK. I think that if it hadn't been for APA & ChuckaBilly...tag team turmoil was rockin. There are 4 matches that all hover around MOTN honors. Sadly none of them was too great. 1. Tag Team Turmoil 2. Taker/Rock 3. Austin/Jericho 4. RVD/Goldust Turmoil would have had it if the ending pair didn't suck the life out of it. I was surprised by Rock/Taker but upon rewatching...it wasn't so great. Jericho/Austin really phoned that one in. RVD/Goldust? The crowd seemed to think so... I think that it is unfair to say that Goldust carried RVD...when was the last good Dustin Rhodes match? RVD had a match that didn't suck with Jeff Hardy...JEFF HARDY. RVD/Goldust was so much better than could have been expected that it gets my MOTN.
Guest Tony149 Posted February 19, 2002 Report Posted February 19, 2002 RVD & Jeff Hardy had a spot fest. Casual fans love those. Because they're out there flying around.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted February 19, 2002 Report Posted February 19, 2002 Whatever you want to call it...the match was more aesthetically appealing than anything HHH has done since his return
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted February 19, 2002 Report Posted February 19, 2002 Is that agreement or sarcasm?
Guest Tony149 Posted February 19, 2002 Report Posted February 19, 2002 What the hell happened to my post! Now I know don't press the back button when you have already clicked add reply. Anyway, that was in agreement.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted February 19, 2002 Report Posted February 19, 2002 Well...I just got my smarks mail... Keith had HHH/Angle rated at **1/2...as well as RVD/Goldust. He had Austin/Jericho at ***(MOTN) and rated the Tag team turmoil with about 1/2* throughout. He is of no use to anyone.
Guest JerryDrake Posted February 19, 2002 Report Posted February 19, 2002 Thats why you stick to your opinion and not SK's.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted February 19, 2002 Report Posted February 19, 2002 I like to use him as a tiebraker.
Guest Anglesault Posted February 19, 2002 Report Posted February 19, 2002 Jericho/Austin was pretty bad. I think Keith just rated it high because Jericho gets him hard.
Guest Brian Posted February 19, 2002 Report Posted February 19, 2002 My final ratings for those matches: RVD/Golddust - ** Rock/Undertaker - *3/4 HHH/Angle - ** Austin/Jericho - **1/2 And anyways, do you expect Triple H to come back and be what he was when he left. It's going to take him a month or two of protecting himself, another month or two to get back in the habit, and another month or two to be in shape.
